    God bless Stevie

  • I have no Idea why someone would dislike this, good playing on a very busy song. The 2 that disliked need to post something better.

  • i luv it evemn though i'm just getting into the bas :D

  • man your awesome swag bro swag!

  • At the end of the solo part you are playing an E where it is supposed to be Eb.

  • Thanks for sharing this!

  • sounds good dude

  • Amazing cover, nailed the solo section (horns).

Even better because of the chilis poster in the background XD

  • your a good player! But you shiting all over this song way to bizzy

  • Good job m8, sounds awesome, i know this song on trumpet and its pretty hard

  • So, how did you learn the bass lines? Straight from the recording, by tab, or did someone show you them?

  • es una de las mejores versiones que he visto, porque en todas las demas se comen unas cuantas notas, lo malo de este video es del minuto 2:50 en adelante

  • Wow really nice!

    How long do you play?

    What bass is this?

  • Hey dude, cheers for the message. I've been playing bass since September 2001 now - sounds like a long time when you put it like that. And I'm playing a Musicman StingRay 5 String. Is yours a 4 string? Cool videos too man - keep it up, really liked the slap thing, you've got a really good groove.

    Thanks again mate. -Rob

  • Thanks :D

    Nice, I've got 4 string yeah. It's a OLP - Musicman imitation.

I'm playing for 2.5 years orso...

You're fills in Sir Duke were nice :)

  • Really great cover mate, you are talented indeed. Just one thing, you said about preventing RSI but it seems that your right (playing) wrist might be in a dangerous position, as it leans over the strings at quite an angle. I guess if you find that it feels find, then it's cool. Brilliant nonetheless :)

  • are you in a band???? if not....you need to be!

  • Nice XD good job God Bless

  • that was highly enjoyable. great stuff, man.

  • Thanks for watching mate and the kind words! -Rob

  • Great timing, inspiring

  • dude this is awsome, your fills are amazing to, and your hair looks great witha cap :D

  • Amazing man. Have any tips for a beginner?

  • Hey dude. Thanks for checking out the video. Tips for beginners - woo - where to start?! First off is enjoy it, play the music you want to play and play it the way you want to play it. Second thing I'd recommend is to learn to play to backing tracks. It gives you a good sense of timing and playing with musicians who won't react to your mistakes. I'd also say to try and be inspired by other musicians, steal their ideas and incorporate their style into your own playing....

  • ... but also find your own musical path and voice. Listen to lots of types of music, but don't feel you have to enjoy it all. When playing bass I'd make sure your technique and the way you physically play the bass is good as it can cause physical problems if its not - RSI, damaged ligaments - that kinda thing. Maybe try learning songs by ear a go as it improves your musical ear. And also its important to know it does take effort to get to a standard you want. Hope this helps. Thanks again, -Rob

  • have to say bud, love ur style, keep it up dude. great job

  • woow! goedman!

  • Excellent timing

  • This one takes me back - excellent playing. All of your you tube videos are tops. Well done! J
