I understand this is a live recording, so everything isn't perfect, but I REALLY prefer Nobuko Imai's recording of this suite. It is without accompaniment, but it is absolutely breath taking.

Look up David Aaron Carpenter. I'm pretty sure he could outplay Bashmet currently.

i like the arrangement but bashmet sounds like shit especially in this movement

Poor bored orchestra... It's one thing to orchestrate a piece for piano and viola, but quite another to orchestrate a solo piece...

Actually, I really enjoy this orchestrated version of the solo suite. Since it was originally written for solo viola, don't hate on it. And Bashmet orchestrated it himself.

This was originally written for solo viola. Yes, I prefer the original over this arrangement.
