This is an absolutely awesome version of the old 60's classic. I especially liked the design for the EP cover that the band did. You don't get too much music like this going around today. :)
Great stuff. I remember when they came down to Croydon to play the Underground club and their van broke down. They turned up really late in the evening but still set up and played a couple of songs. To compensate fans they did a gig about a month later and gave away a free limited edition "Croydon Underground" single to everyone at the first gig.
Crazyhead - Deserved more than they got. But I don't think they ever deserved to be called Brummies. They come from a fine list of Leicester musos - Englebert, Showadawaddy, Phil Oakey (Ok - He's from Hinckley, not Leicester), one of the members of Queen (can't remember who) and erm...thats about it.
...fatso, john deacon from queen was from wigston, jon lord from Deep purple was from thurmaston, robert plants bass player jezz woodroffe also from leicester, then there was also blab happy, HBM, Chrome Molly, gaye bykers, prolapse, cornershop, diesel park west, mark morrison, the meteors, and oh what are they called? erm, oh thats it, the mighty Kasabian!! (there was more i apologise!!)
I forgot - The bass player from Dire Straits comes from Mkt Harborough. Changing the genre a little, Seb Coe, Paula Radcliffe, and Duncan ("Nice parting") Goodhew also live / lived in Leicestershire. So did Gary Lineacre. And the owner of the various Linekers bars across Spain was from Leicester....until he decided to start residing at her majestys pleasure.
