  • I don’t know how anyone can elect Mitt Romney for president who sat out of the military draft on a Religious deferment. A person who says his 5 sons of military age can better serve his country by working on his political campaign for the past decade. We are in Iraq, in Afghanistan and might be in Iran. It’s ok to send some other kids child to war but not his own. Is that the type of president you want representing this country in a time of conflict?

  • Soooo many assholes in here from both sides of the political fence accusing each other of being CHICKENHAWKS! Well boys and girls that term can be apply to almost all of you in here! Chickenhawks you got to luv them when they talk the talk in here ..... but don't join the military to find out what the walk is outside the wire....

Oh! by the way all of you Chickenhawks! I did 30 years in the Army and saw my share of crap overseas!

  • Hey Hugh, Are you Hermann Göring's nephew or what. You say the exact words that Göring used to say that those who don't support the war are unpatriotic!! At least Göring served his nation as a fighter pilot in WW1. You and Romney were NEVER in the Military and are and ALWAYS will be COWARDS!!!!! Billyyank1, Democrat, served proudly, United States Army, 1987 to1994

  • If you're going to talk the talk. You better walk the walk! All these chickenhawks are cowards. Period!

  • Faggots!

  • the point is kinda bein danced around, do you think that if his kids were in the military would he have the pro war stance that he has.

  • like fellow primary candidates Duncan Hunter or John McCain you mean? who knows. no one. not even him. so how is asking an impossible-to-answer hypothetical, any kind of "point"? clearly it isnt. its just a failed smear and was called out as such.

  • If Mccain wins, all these people who yell 'chickenhawk' will be eating their words.

  • nicknamed 'McNasty' by his school mates.

finished fifth from last in his class.

hit some power lines while hot dog flying too low knocking out Spain public hydro.

Nickname as POW "songbird" , failed suicide attempt , $58000.00 yrly tax free for injuries due to incorrect proceedures at bail out.

promoted illegal amnesty for millions of illegal aliens.

Career financed by mafia princess wife's criminal father.

Yeah just a natural born leader.

  • So are you voting for Obama then?

  • If Romney is the Republican nominee, the GOP will lose. Americans will see the Romney chickenhawk family for what it is and reject them. It's disgusting that so many Republicans are supporting Romney, especially since Dewey in 1948 was the last Republican candidate who never served in the military.

  • They didn't serve and Won't serve because they have better things to do. They're Chickenhawks like most GOP Pundits and Neo-Cons. I served for 6 Years!

  • By the way, I'm an army vet (not a war vet... 2 seperate things) artillery king of battle... also go army beat navy (for the love of god at least once in this decade)

  • Chickenhawks 5- Romneys 0

  • this doesnt even make sense...

  • it means his sons are cowards as was their father... it's very easy to talk about military service a lot different to live it. thus Mitt has 5 chickenhawks for sons, and 0 Romneys in service.

  • how foolish. so the vast majority of the country, liberal and conservative are all cowards unless they have served in the military? including those who serve in non combat positions and those who are honored for their bravery in non military positions? what a childish nonsensical and closed minded view you have. sad.

  • yes, it means that non-combat bravery is bullshit, and yes the majority of the country are cowards. that is why we have a mercenary force, so chickenhawks have someone to emulate.

and it is closed minded, however it is not nonsensical... courage and caution under fire... are learned both in battle.

it was the courageous chickenhawks who saw no pause in pre-emptive strikes. because caution under fire means that you must test your mettle under action, not theory, they would have known better.

  • thanks for discrediting yourself. its just foolish, not to mention grammatically inaccurate to discredit any form of bravery where guns are not present. this is not a forum for you to dump on our nations firefighters and rescue workers, so move along now.

  • I believe, that i said "caution under fire", I believe this would include emergency response workers.

"grammatically inaccurate to discredit any form of bravery where guns are not present" ...what?

a coward is a coward, Mitt Romney knows that he is a coward, why don't you?

  • you "believe" that based on what? you're just revising your silly credentials to support a bogus smear.

"bravery" is not defined as "person who joins the military". armed service is but one of many examples of bravery and it is a narrow minded fallacy to deduce that if you're not shot at in uniform then you can under no circumstances be legitimately called brave/heroic/courageous/etc.

  • If your gonna be "pro-war", and "pro-military", and you never join or fight. Then his "bravery" can be questioned.

  • FALLACY. anything "can be questioned" in a free society. the issue is whether there is a basis for it or if you're just tossing an unfounded smear with literally nothing to back it up. you have provided nothing but going in circles with the fallacy that if a person supports an organization they have not served under, then they are cowards or somehow hypocrites.

  • so where are you credentials?

which of the following have you served under, and then explain as well as justify either why you do not support the others or why you are such a hypocrite for exempting yourself from your own childish rule: military, FBI, police force, firefighters, coast guard.

Lets hear it hotshot... which ever one of those you are, explain why it is you do not support the others. since according to you, you can't support people you have not worked with.

  • interesting rhetoric, very distracting however, so I'll answer your question in this way, I served in 3 of the armed forces in the DOD, and 1 as a civil servant. So I will say I am a Patriot, and I respect them all in varying degrees. I'm an American so I support all Americans in varying degrees. However I do not support the smug cowardice of men who demonstrate their "bravery" only when they are comfortably out of range.

3/11 FA, 210th brigade, I corp. Pick up your ruck and follow me.

  • OWNED by mediafork.

your elitist attitude and careless application of such accusations only perverts the words against those to whom they really apply.

thanks for this detailed and cogent smackdown mediafork.

    hilarious fail by press1500 =)

  • Mediafork, Mitt Romney, Rush Limbaugh, Dick Cheney... cowards...

My 115lb niece in Afghanistan; brave...

FYI... Elitists don't serve in the military. Just a few brave souls.

  • In other words: you have no justification for your embarrassingly foolish and childish reasoning so you'll just repeat the nonsensical thesis to make yourself feel better. way to go.

FYI... there is no test to the bravery of ones soul when signing up for the military, liar. thankfully, elitists like you are few to sign up. puts a little damper in your theory when you look at the polls showing that military servers support republicans overwhelmingly. FAIL.

  • One of us is a fool, and the other served in the military.

Military servers are overwhelmingly repubs, so why didn't Mitt put on the boots? or you for that matter.

I served because it was a dream of mine to do so as small child. I grew up in one of the poorest ghetto's in NY. I attended public schools all of my life, and i'm still paying for my student loans... elite?

I was laughed at in my neighborhood when i got back from Basic training. However I still where my dog tags to this day...

  • The Romney boys are doing their country a huge service in helping their dad Mitt beat the lying anti-American democrats to the White House. That is doing immeasurable good for the nation, and far more than some inexperienced black senator or raving power hungry socialist lezbo.

  • Bush is coming to Washington State on Aug 27, 2007. Meet in Bellevue at 12:00 at 8th and Bellevue Way! Wear Orange, bring your outrage, signs, puppets, theatrics, noisemakers and friends; we will not tolerate the war criminal in chief here in Washington State! Spread the word!
