@deathblackthrashing Get one, and get a tubescreamer and it's perfect. You cannot go wrong with that. It's very hard to find any amp that you can totally rely on just its distortion.
@samathanwataguan Well... I know many amps that can be used for extreme metal with only their own distortion. Peavey, Boogie, Bogner, Krank, Diezel, Blackstar, and I forget some others...
@niahaa The thing is almost all extreme metal guitarists boost using an overdrive of some sort to tighten their sound. Maybe not so much in Black Metal. Guess I forgot to specify Extreme Metal artists relying on just amp distortion. My bad
@samathanwataguan Why black metal ? =) Anyway, I know that many guitarists boost the sound with an overdrive when they play soli, but for this is not so generic for the rythmic sound... And I wouldn't like to have more gain on a Rectifier for example ^^
without the power amp volume up to 10 oclock all you are hearing is the preamp gain, its a much better amp than this and really the demo is poor, its like someone with no idea of the power amp sag and compression is doing the demo.
