  • I ate guinea pig when I worked in Peru. Also had iquana in Belize(bamboo chicken), tepescuintle in Guatemala(think giant swamp rat). GP is dry, iquana tastes like chicken tepe is like a greasy veal. Guinea pig makes sense since the Indians feed them on grass and weeds they gather by the road. So its free protein. Rat... If you raised it cleanly..OK. But just not much meat. Grasshoppers fried with chili and lime in Oaxaca-a vegetarian protein. Lobster is a scavenger of rotten fish.

  • @goodtimebob Thanks for the feedback. I'll have to try some of those! Personally I've never been a huge fan of Lobster myself, preferring another bottom feeding scavenger, the crab :D

  • @goodtimebob errrrrrr y the fuck would u eat that

  • @tinfamily Hmm, yeah maybe...

  • @whitelion1 Now if that's confusing how about Ostrich meat?

  • Rat - the Other White Meat

  • Comment removed

  • if you have the stomach for these, u can feed your family for mere pennies and keep them healthy. hell, just get a large cage of some sort and grow bunch of rats and other animals and simply eat them

  • If the dollar ever fails (not saying it will for sure), then who knows what we'll be willing to eat. If it comes down to starving or not, I'll start a veggie farm and if I have to, corn or rice raised vermin would be worth a try. Rather raise chickens tho! :D

  • I agree. i can pluck a chicken but not a rat ;D. I'm actually seriously thinking of growing my own fish in an aquarium just like they do in certain restaurants.

  • Delicious!!!

  • The Romans looooved to eat field mice. Raised farms of them for that purpose.

  • ah neat! (which leads to the question, how many field mice does it take to feed a legion? :) )

  • Comment removed

  • omg thx dude i just puked! :)

  • shit, that looks better than how i cook it, hit it on the head, and barbecue it

  • only field mouses are eaten in very small part of China, house rat are not eaten in those places..

not only you westerners feel gross, most of the chinese won't eat that either..

  • shrek!!!!!!!

  • I thought it was marinated chicken, I was wrong. But still looks good. say maybe I'll eat my dog, Poodles n' Noodles FTW!

  • that's pretty funny! :)

  • LOL!!!!!

  • That's what you eat when you go to a chinese restaurant. They slip it in with the chicken to cut costs.

  • look good for me when it is propely prepared. I will gladly dig in :)

  • Meh. There are way, way sicker things, even just on Youtube. I'd try (don't want to give it away) *** (properly prepared) if it were offered to me.

  • it does look good!

  • being a Dj i would ask what track was this!!!

At first I was like... mmmm looks like some fried chicken or somethin and then I saw the rat...

  • what is the title of this dance music? its nice

  • I'm not sure.. I must have lost it in a drive crash or something. It's a loop intro to some house thing. I think it was pretty obscure, but not sure.

  • I cant really say it looked good at all, at first i was thinking

"Cow penis?" so yeah i would not eat it hehe

  • hi, i hav one question i ate at one vietnamese restaurant and the"chicken" had alot of hard gristle and from my experience chicken doesnt hav gristle so i wanted to knw wat meat could that hav possibly been any ideas????? i know that the vietnamese also cook dog meat but wat meat could hav that hard extra chewy unchewable stuff lol just inquiring.............

  • That's a good question. I know that chicken in the Philippines, as well as in China, Thailand, and Vietnam and Cambodia (places I've eaten Chicken) use chickens that taste a little different than ours. I've figured that it's because theirs are not pumped full of antibiotics and hormones like ours. I don't remember tons of gristle, though. Who knows what meat it was... You're still here to tell the story, though, so it can't be too bad! :)

  • Oh, and thanks for the favorite! :)

  • haha~~~ I really laughed hard...

I guess you usually eat chicken breast (and those type of 'boneless meat' part) but never a whole chicken.

Of course chicken have gristle! lots of gristle! like any other animal! coz that's the main thing to connect bone and muscle, bone and bone.

It can happen that the restaurant didn't prepare it well. but I'm pretty ok to see gristles in my food coz it's part of the meat. It's just like when you see small tea leaves floating in your tea.

  • me? nah I'm Chinese, and if I can borrow a line from Jackie Chan... "we eat all the nasty stuff" lolz :D

I grew up with tripe, etc.. integrated into the diet. Not just from Chinese cuisine too... my dad used to make great Spanish Lengua... yumm.

  • ah..I was answering priscillajames's question.....probably posted it to you by mistake...

I'm also Chinese, so we are on the same boat! :D not just chinese, koreans, japanese and other asian countries are not much different. My roommate japanese girl and I used to chat about our food culture. Like what you've quoted "we eat all the nasty stuff" LOL

Just like one guy said under your another video, if disaster happens, they (we) will have the highest survival rate!

  • put youself in an 3rd world country ..they only thing you hold in your hand is your cooock .. no other means of paying your food.. what do you do .. he should just rob the fking guy that took these picture and buy themself an humburger to eat .. its humane and civilized..

  • thats not chicken

  • They actually started off looking good but when I realized what they were I nearly Puked. But if hunger hit me bad enough I would roast a rat really quick. LOL

  • i thought it was invented by wild animals that gouge on the living flesh of their prey...

  • Cool vid :) Can you tell me the name of the song?

  • I don't know. sorry... if I find it again I'll add the credit to the comments.

  • i think this is the way on invention of future foods

  • rodents that are found in farms arent dirty...they good

  • are you kidding me? those look so good

  • wow, i think people can eat everything.

yeah, why they don't try human meat

  • i'd rather be jeffrey dommerman than eat a rat nigga

  • they have already started don't worry

  • All I have to say is....omnomnomnomnomnom

  • hmmmm! it taste just like chicken.you must try it!

  • You know...when I first put the video up I was like "eew rats" but since then and having seen it so common in Vietnam, I think i'm ready to give it a go. Next time I'm in Vietnam I'll order some and hopefully post the video :)

  • mmmm.... i'm cravin' some fried chicken right about now.

  • looks gud to me...

  • Where can i find wealthy guys in time of crisis? My bf doesnt even visit me often unless he has some money to fly over. Well i got something from you about oyster. I didnt know its for us...thats why my mom always using Mama Sita Oyster Sauce in all her cooking. Is there such oyster liquid juice that I can drink easily at anytime. Oyster reminds me about my other bfs they always say mine is looks like my little tiny hole.

  • ......lol.......

NO ONE WANTS TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR ARBY'S SANDWICH K?

  • when i was at the back of CCP with my bf then, why do some men eating balut after quick sex? is it because women are fond of licking their eggs and their stamina easily run out. Is there such bizarre thing liked balut for women that excite their sex life?

  • timesonline in the uk just did an interesting study. they say the wealthier the man, the more orgasms a woman has :P

but for food... I don't know for sure...other than champagne & chocolate dipped strawberries or raw oysters :)

  • thats the proper way to make comment over such bizzare thing. rat stands for burat. isnt it?

  • I guess, you can describe it that way if you want. Rat in this case turns out to be field rat. I was in Vietnam last week/week and a half ago and they said that they use tree rat and rats from the rice fields so they taste good, not the kind that eats from the garbage :)

  • I think maybe I'd try this before balut too :D

  • if i can suck a cock and swallow his cum why i cannot eat such thing. it seems more yummier than anything else.

  • lol bastos talaga! :P

  • What is the mucis called?

  • Hi! I'm sorry I forgot the name of the music. It was DJ...something or another.

  • this or frog?

  • I'd go for the plate of frog first. I've had that before. It was just meat (I guess it all is in the end, right?). I've had it a couple ways. Not something I would look for, but it's ok.

I saw rat & snake offered in Vietnam. Next time I'm there I'm going to make it a point to have them both.

Did the snake rice-wine thing this past week, which is different than the snake blood in wine thing, but the one I had is more for tourists I'm pretty sure. The one I had wasn't tasty. :P

  • lol

yeah its all meat, i guess its just what were used to. i hate frogs regarding their slimy look, so i can't even think about eating them, i rather stick to chicken lol. snake wine i could try but not rat meat. i've tried snake soup before(with bits of snake meat in it), it was pretty disgusting lol and tasted fishy.

  • hey this ain't nasty, it actually looks delish

  • I just got back from Vietnam & they had the Rat and also Snake "Set". The snake you do the whole blood mixed in liquor then they cook it into a couple dishes, and the rat is a seperate dish...turns out the rats come from trees and the ground near the rice fields so they're rice fed rats. I didn't have the chance to try either. We were on a tight schedule and I was recovering from the nasty cobra wine that I'll be posting the video on soon.

  • Oh boy, I don't think I can try that. It still looking good.

  • damn that looks tasty but not the rat

  • It looks good honestly.

  • dam that looks tasty !!!

  • hahah i like how u reverse-ordered the video...(;

  • Thanks! :)

  • I can't eat my chinken wrap anymore

  • SICK

  • As long as he came from a field as opposed to a sewer, then i'd eat me some rat. definitely. especially if it's done up with some vegetables and a tasty sauce. Now if they could just do something about those tiny lil bones it'd be even better

  • I reckon i eat it!! looks pretty tasty!! Cant be as bad as eating one of those doner kebabs from the greasy turkish guys on a friday night..

  • well it actually looks tasty

  • i second that

  • rat?

    sure - why not?

    looks crispy.

  • If I was starving to death, I'd eat that.

  • that's not korean you morons.. look at the words in the background 0:57

  • who said korean?

  • Rat tacos!

  • Looked ok. Probably taste like the marinade, anyway. What's so gross?

  • I've never tasted rats, yet I believe they must taste better than cockroaches and scorpions.

  • There's something for the hobo's to eat.
