  • Gives Tor you nothing of viruses, spyware, malware etc.?

  • HII made the mistake to install TOR under chrome and want to uninstall TOR now. But how can I uninstall tor? would be great if you could let me know.

  • @mh050200 If you go into the Tor folder it should have an icon saying uninstall i think...

  • 1 dislike = government?

  • 1 dislike = government?

  • yo we need one for ubuntu man its way harder

  • that fucking site is blocked i hate the internet

  • I would recommend keeping this quite, sure a tutorial is good, but you give the ability to be tracked for people knowing about TOR, if they know about it, you can therefor still be found.

  • you remind me of hank hill for some odd reason

  • and for windows 7?

  • Yes it doesn't work. Tor manual suggests reading about "port forwarding", but that's about all it says. Pretty vague, not to mention d-link doesn't have anything about "port forwarding".

  • I want to contribute by setting up a relay, but I can't. Using a d-link router. No "port-forwarding" here, closest thing I found is "virtual server", but can't get it working, bunch of values to set.

Help me so I'll help you.

  • @termi892 Open up Vidalia, click "Setup Relaying", and select "Relay traffic inside the Tor network (Non-exit relay)". Tell me if this doesn't work.

    Also, deepweb.

  • does this let me access sites I was banned from?

  • @freedom4internet

Hi. yeah. when i hide it and go to mozzila i do not have the option for enabling Tor.

P.S. i'm using Windows XP so... i can only go to tor website, i think it's called aurora..

  • quiero un totorias en español para MAC please

  • Cool. But is it possible to watch videos using tor? I don't seem to be able to.

  • @terminatedaccount07 You can watch videos but be aware that this makes you open for tracing and or attack. don't use flash and TOR at the same time.

  • @s2thebassest Ok thanks.

  • @terminatedaccount07 I mean java.

  • Do I have to enter the some site's URL directly into the URL bar to be anonymous, or can I just type what I want into Google to be anonymous (my Tor is turned on)? Please answer.

  • @krneki98765 you can instantly browse the net

  • We all remember Dan Egerstad and the discovery right ? Many of you thinks that all you sent is secure, but Tor is not about the security of your information but your anonymity... Just to make sure that all of you know that ;)

  • You don't know what you're messing with. Stay away from Deep Web.

  • Website is cenorsored

  • @tuzmor That is a very good question.

When one accesses the internet anonymously, sex, race and religion would not be a issue any more, I think.

  • Can this make me use internet sites like an american?

  • when i close my web browser the little tor green onion goes ...

im confused.... and i can still find my ip online so is it working or not?

  • this works to get around block websites at school XD

  • @TheDubstep4you ssssshhhhhhh

  • @Cleric775 XD

  • Do they have a "Tor" for windows 7 64bit running internet explorer!

  • i cannot connect it says refused by peer can someone help

  • you can't open online videos, like youtube! :(

  • @ahli24 It uses alot of connection bandwidth. I recommend using Tor-browsing to watch videos, unlogged and use Tor-browsing to rate and comment.

  • How safe is Tor. Is it possible for my internet supplier to find out where i've been eventhough i'm using Tor?

  • @Izak80 I recoumend using multiple proxies as well and maybe a anti keylogger.

  • @Izak80 Someone can probably find out you've been using Tor, however it'll harder for them to trace what has been transferred.

Nobody or nothing can give you 100% security.

  • :42 so Tor is basically the underground railroad for white people with internet?

  • can they trace who u are via an msn fb or shit like that

  • anyone knowledgeable enough to know whether or not this is legit? I know you can buy and sell successfully on the site but is there any way for the government to use this to their advantage? Using a specific program on the internet seems less like a way of camouflaging yourself and more of a way of slapping a giant target on your chest. I don't know much about computers, and I could see how one might use my (and others like me) lack of knowledge to pull me into a trap.

  • @littlejssn Well, if you're using it for something akin to child porn, I hope they do catch you and prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law and then some.

  • @banter2345 wow what a broad disgusting assumption to link me to.

  • i find this intresting to watch, but why would anyone need this besides watching cp and upload rape/cp/gore???

  • @DonKaranIsBack

To play online poker that was illegaly outlawed by the Shalamah administration. The law that was used for this was suppose to just make deposits from US banks illegal, but in his over reaching "open and changey change" way his administration basically wrote their own law. This is why we need this, to counter an increasingly despotic regime.

  • @banter2345 well thats understandable, but most of the people dont use it for these kind of purposes

  • @DonKaranIsBack That may be, but most people do not use their legally owned firearms or other arms guaranteed to Americans in the 2nd Ammendment to kill others that are not a threat, some do... do we revoke a God given right because some fools do? Same goes with cars, insecticides, etc... ad naseum. Do we punish others for what some idiots misuse? A packet that's sent on the Tor network still has the original source and destination IP addresses included in the header... it's just encapsulated

  • @banter2345 and that encapsulation header can be broken if the need is great enough, i.e. child porn, which is an abhorrent practice and I believe perpetrators should be publicly executed.

  • @DonKaranIsBack Some countrys block sites to keep people in the dark. Also, you don't need to use tor to look at gore.

  • @wesleyfilms well, thats probably the only valid reason :)

  • hi rob

  • Tor is a wonderful idea, but too many bad places ruin it, where you have privacy you have evil.

  • @moomoo1337 you are an idiot...."if you're not doing something wrong, why would you want privacy" FOR EVIL? It's called "freedom" you moron...and you REALLY are a moron.

  • @dannon2010 Have you actually been anywhere near the onion? I really fucking doubt it as you have no concept of what evil and twisted stuff is lurking in there. It is as easy to hide fucked up shit as it is to hide good stuff, use what tiny intellect you have and try to grasp this concept.

Fuckwits like you make browsing a chore rather than fun.

  • @moomoo1337 I use it regularly, and assure you, I haven't done anything evil on it.....I'm assuming you're calling the Vidalia/TOR network "the onion"? See, you're one of those people, "if you're not doing anything wrong, why hide it?" Because it's none of your business. When it gets to the point that privacy is something BAD, then we live in a Fascist state, and it's people like you who are willing to allow our Constitutionally GUARANTEED rights disappear because of what MIGHT happen.

  • I don't live in the same country as you so your rhetoric is meaningless to me. You must be into Hard Candy if you think there is no evil on the Onion. You must think that it is OK to check that stuff out if you are getting so defensive about your rights. Nothing is 100% private on the net and you can be traced more easily than you think, do you think all the hackers getting caught lately were not protecting themselves by any means possible? You don't seem to understand how the net works. Idiot.

  • @moomoo1337 mmmhmmm...the US Constitution..rhetoric. And you've never used use "the onion". Damn straight I'm defensive about my rights...the ones I'm sure you've given up so quickly, or never had in the first place..."for the children", I'm sure. When the idea of communicating without being snooped upon is "evil" and Freedom is simply delegated to mere rhetoric, then you clearly don't understand what's at stake...pushover fascist loving dipshit. "What about the CHILDREN?!!"

  • @dannon2010 Do you not understand why many Onion sites seem to change IP regularly? You also have to enter and leave, move around and input, all done from your nice open computer where anything can be installed to check you out, ISP records show information downloaded from nowhere, ummm what it this guy up to? Do you really think that there is no trace, TOR just makes it harder, not impossible. The only way to stay anonymous on your PC is to use sneakernet.

  • @moomoo1337 I never said it makes it impossible...the main point was.."you shouldn't do it, because it's evil"..bullshit logic, from a pushover who couldn't care less about individual rights. I just HATE when people use such crappy logic...what if someone BAD uses it. Sooo fucking lame. before you know it, you've got cameras in your house, for YOUR protection using the same damn process. If you can't see where that logic can leave you, then you are the idiot...and smiling for the camera!

  • @dannon2010 My main point had nothing to do with what you are on about. You are just looking for a crusade, try reading the point before going on one of your little bitchfests. I don't have a camera in my house either, stop taking whatever mood altering nonsense you are on and grow up a little.

  • Tor is heaven for pedophiles. Fuck tor.

  • @ZTOID

Tor is used by people who need anominity for other reasons than perversions. I use it for online poker and looking at wikileaks, since liberties are diminishing due to a despotic libtard administration and a neo-con RINO previous one in the US and no relief in sight.

  • @ZTOID so locked doors are havens for gays!

    ropes are tools of rapists!

    guns are tools of murderers!

    YEAH! TO HELL WITH TOR!

    you're an idiot.

  • @ZTOID yeah, pedophiles...you are a moron. "If you aren't doing anything wrong, why wouldn't you allow everyone to know what you're doing?" I guess you haven't read the Constitution recently, not that the Constitution means anything these days...as soon as privacy becomes illegal, then we are ALL fucked in the ass...including dip-shits like YOU. Funny, I never thought of using TOR for pedophilia...projecting perhaps?

  • better then HSS?

  • What you are doing my friend, is a good thing.

  • test

  • Hi rob, nice tutorial, but I am trying through specific country , do you know how to set up a relay through a specific country. thnks

  • thanks man works great for me, i followed your instructions and enabled tor, now whenever I check my location on geobyte it places me in some totally different country which changes everytime i take a new identity. awesome.

  • thx man

    but it is .org

  • I was asked for a password on my user interface. It wouldn't take it then all of a sudden the interface started to install.

  • does it hide your IP address????

  • You should let people know that browsing with tor, while it's REALLY safe, is usually slower than browsing without it.

  • can i watch bbc iplayer's videos? because when i clicked onto the A to Z part, it said there was an error...

    thanks :D
