  • This act was abolished because China became America's ally during WWII. Ironically, after the war was over, China was taken over by the Chinese Communist Party. Communists killed Americans during the Vietnamese War and the Korean War. The US should NOT apologize for the Exclusion Act until China apologizes for killing Americans during those two wars. If the US had not defeated Japan, China would be part of the Japanese Empire.

  • To understand the Chinese Exclusion Act and the Immigration Act of 1924, you first have to understand that throughout much of American history it was believed that only people of English (British) origin were real Americans. It was only in 1965 that the reform of U.S. immigration law abolished the system of national-origin quotas. This system had excluded Asians entirely and radically restricted immigration from southern and eastern Europe.

The US was an ethnic state (like European ethnostates).

  • @EnglishEthnicPride2 When you look at the human history, the concept of race really is ridiculous. Humans have not existed long enough on the earth to divide into so many different "ethnic groups." It's all CONCEPTUAL. Race is just a concept. Nobody is that pure.

  • I am shocked that the "Chinese Exclusion Act" is not part of American History studies in college. The "Exclusion Act" is as much a part of history to the Chinese as Slavery is to African Americans. I am even more shocked that all the students have no idea what the "Act" was. They probably know more about their Ipods and facebook than the history of America. We are doomed if these are our next generation of leaders, don't expect much for the next 50 years.

  • Wow, those asians...they are whitewashed as it can be. Yellow on the outside, white on the inside. A disgracefull banana. How can an Asian not know about the racist treatment Asians got from America...

Simply stunning. Damn whitewashed whores, maybe stare less at the white guys and learn something about your own history.

  • I did not even know until a few years ago having gone to schools in the US....after much searching on the subject, we, Chinese have alot to thank then President John F. Kennedy for the 1965 act for immigrats signed. (he implemented during his short years in office.

  • @sunni1102 Correction it was Sen. Edward Kennedy and a Chinese American Senator from Hawaii (FONG), that help Reform the immigration act where is the number of immigration allowed from Asia = to the ones from Europe.

  • Lol...barely anyone had a clue...

  • @YuAhrRooser

and that is such a shame

  • My gosh, what do students learn these days in high school for american history class? Returned everything they learned to their teachers? Can't believe most college students can't even answer such an obvious question?

  • Your videos are hella interesting. I cant believe these people got into a university. This is all high school material. Pathetic

  • @Ultraoutlaw98 tell me about and there the ones going to run america

  • Fuck man it should be called the "Asian Exclusion Act" not just Chinese..

It last not years or decade but over a Century..

This is why we should change the faces of the racists who sit in the "Supreme Court"

Go president Obama change the faces of the Supreme Court

  • @tigerhearttigerking

are you kidding? THe Japanese didnt face the exclusion act

  • Fuck you

  • Wow...

  • did the second last guy had it right? he sounds like he know what he was talking about. but the closest thing i can think of is the war between the chinese and the europeans, so it might be something they came up with?
