Kid buu is the strongest form of all buu's, when super transformed into kid they said that his power was dubbeled. So kid is at least twice as strong than super. And when kid was fighting Goku he was just toying with Goku. But Goku would destroy him if he was fresh, that makes Goku the strongest non-fused character.

Like Broly, Kid Buu seems to be massively overrated. I believe that Kid Buu most of the time would be using more power than Fat Buu, so that would explain Goku's ease in fighting the fat one. Honestly what I think is Dai Kaio's influences buries a good bulk of Buu's power, rather than depleting it. That wouldn't make sense.
God damn I cant believe people still debate this. Akira toriyama, creator of dragonball z. Has stated that the strongest unfused character is ultimate gohan. The only beings beyond him are certain forms of super buu and vegito.
If you want to debate if goku is worth a damn. Debate how good he is compared to gotenks. Considering goku states that ss1 gotenks is stronger than him at ss3. Goku is cool and the most awesome character to me.. but its very clear he isnt even close to the strongest.
What makes Goku great. Is he is always first to learn a technique and the others learn from him. He also encourages the others to push beyond their limits. What generally makes Goku the powerful, is his proven ability to push beyond his current limits or restrictions and the ability to teach the others how to do the same. Being able to lead, teach, and have others gladly follow you is the ultimate power.

Goku was confident that SSJ Gotenks could deal with Fat Buu and he was constantly being surprised throughout the Buu saga (see his reaction to Gohan's power-up and SSJ3 Gotenks). The movie with Hirudegarn isn't canon with the real dbz timeline but even so, all it showed was that Goku has more fighting awareness than his sons. Of course in actual canon, size and brain power don't count for jack. It's all about the ki.

@xXEnkilXx but you can't blame gohan for this, gohan doesn't have the fighting experience that Vegeta and goku has. They essentially was born and live for fighting. Gohan can fight but wasn't entirely meant to live solely for fighting. Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, piccolo goku vegeta even future trunks sole purpose was fighting(though future trunks still showed his lack of experience fighting cell).

@jagr06 Gohan is completely to blame. By the end of the Namek saga, he's been up against more foes that far more powerful than anyone Goku ever faced at that same age. He was ALWAYS designed to be Goku's heir, the one Goku would eventually pass the earth-saving torch on to, and he's always shown signs of an untapped potential that is far beyond that of even Goku. There's too much time spent developing Gohan's skill in the series for him to be pushed into the background like that.

@jagr06 The Cell saga set him up as the new Hero of DBZ, and even the early Buu saga episodes revolved around the development of Gohan as the Earth's protector, even going so far as to turn him into a superhero. By the world tournament, Gohan had become nearly as strong as he was by the end of the Cell saga. Vegeta, at this point, was still considerably weaker having only just attained SSJ2 while under Bibidi's mind control.
@xXEnkilXx I highly doubt that, even vegeta said during the fight with Gohan and Dabura that he was weaker than him and goku. Gohan wasn't stronger than vegeta, he was weaker. Vegeta trained for 7 years straight. Gohan only trained for like a year maybe for the worlds martial arts. Gohan wasn't a major player in buu saga just a filler so goku and vegeta would step in.
As for Cell saga, i felt gohan became a hero once but after that they didn't want him to be the main hero goku was in dbz
@jagr06 Not even. Vegeta only assumed he was on par with Goku and Gohan up until Goku's fight with Yakon in which Vegeta saw how he completely underestimated Goku's abilities (as he always does). Vegeta even admits at the end of the Buu saga that both Goku and Gohan's natural fighting capabilities outmatched his, even with his intense focus and training.
@jagr06 And though his training certainly wasn't as intense as Vegeta's, I'm positive Gohan still trained throughout those seven years. There's no way Goten could have achieved the SSJ Form simply from training with Chi Chi his whole life. Gohan most likely handled quite a bit of Goten's training. The SSJ2's power would have been way too much for Gohan to train with Goten in, so naturally, he'd stop using it and get a little sloppy with the form.

As far as Goten i don't know how accurate it is but according to something I read the offspring from a saiyan kinda inherits the strength of the father at the time of birth. goku was super saiyan when he knocked up chi chi as opposed to gohan level as a kid was definitely around goku's level. Goku just has more fighting experience(years + personality) than Gohan even with his raw potential.

Gohan never knew about Buu's absorption technique due to him being near dead from fat buu and being taken to the Kai's. Only Piccolo, gotenks and the others had more knowledge about it than Gohan. It was made even more obvious to him when Gotenks unfused inside buu, and Buu took Piccolo's appearance on. And that bit about him not having experience, He's had just as much experience fighting, at that point, as Goku did at his age. He spent his ENTIRE YOUTH fighting. Just like Goku. Chichi TRIED to get him to study, but he was always sneaking off to train with piccolo.

You mean any of the other supreme kai's? Because buu did not absorb them. Are you talking about the strong buff kai? Because he is inside original fat buu, which the evil version (gray version) of buu consumed to become the tall buu. It's confusing, but that's why.

@joejar5 You want more facts why Kaioshin energy can't be used with boo? it's simply because it's god energy mixing with demon energy, positive and negative energy mixing together won't work. Dabura and babidi in theprevious chapters say they can't use kaioshin or kibito's energy to revive boo, but theycould use the others. Next, Vegetto (a kai based fusion), won't work with boo'scandy beam, he can still fight as candy. Finally we have them separate in boo's body as the barrier isdown
@joejar5 Did you not pay attention to his back story, Kaioshin explicitely says the power he lost through absorbing the kais through a good heart has returned back to the "way it once was" meaning boo has his complete power back. Boo's power was going up when they tore good boo out (good boo represents all the kai influence). @xmeany Kai energy and boo don't properly mix. Even ask dabura and babidi : together. There are 7 in all. We can't use kibitz and kaioshins energy , but we can use the others. The potara (a Kai based fusion) that's made up Kai energy. Doesn't work with vegetto when the candy beam strikes him. He still regained his strength and awareness. And when vegetto was absorbed and let his barrier down. He immediately separated. And finally boo's backstory is the verification.

Like Broly, Kid Buu seems to be massively overrated. I believe that Kid Buu most of the time would be using more power than Fat Buu, so that would explain Goku's ease in fighting the fat one. Honestly what I think is Dai Kaio's influences buries a good bulk of Buu's power, rather than depleting it. That wouldn't make sense.

If you want to debate if goku is worth a damn. Debate how good he is compared to gotenks. Considering goku states that ss1 gotenks is stronger than him at ss3. Goku is cool and the most awesome character to me.. but its very clear he isnt even close to the strongest.

Goku was confident that SSJ Gotenks could deal with Fat Buu and he was constantly being surprised throughout the Buu saga (see his reaction to Gohan's power-up and SSJ3 Gotenks). The movie with Hirudegarn isn't canon with the real dbz timeline but even so, all it showed was that Goku has more fighting awareness than his sons. Fat Buu: A child that does not no any better and thinks of fighting as a game, only due to his intelligence he is more likely to be reasoned with.

@xXEnkilXx but you can't blame gohan for this, gohan doesn't have the fighting experience that Vegeta and goku has. They essentially was born and live for fighting. Gohan can fight but wasn't entirely meant to live solely for fighting. Krillin, Yamcha, Tien, piccolo goku vegeta even future trunks sole purpose was fighting(though future trunks still showed his lack of experience fighting cell).

@jagr06 Gohan is completely to blame. By the end of the Namek saga, he's been up against more foes that far more powerful than anyone Goku ever faced at that same age. He was ALWAYS designed to be Goku's heir, the one Goku would eventually pass the earth-saving torch on to, and he's always shown signs of an untapped potential that is far beyond that of even Goku. There's too much time spent developing Gohan's skill in the series for him to be pushed into the background like that.

@jagr06 The Cell saga set him up as the new Hero of DBZ, and even the early Buu saga episodes revolved around the development of Gohan as the Earth's protector, even going so far as to turn him into a superhero. By the world tournament, Gohan had become nearly as strong as he was by the end of the Cell saga. Vegeta, at this point, was still considerably weaker having only just attained SSJ2 while under Bibidi's mind control.

Vegeta trained for 7 years straight. Gohan only trained for like a year maybe for the worlds martial arts. Gohan wasn't a major player in buu saga just a filler so goku and vegeta would step in.
As for Cell saga, i felt gohan became a hero once but after that they didn't want him to be the main hero goku was in dbz

@jagr06 Not even. Vegeta only assumed he was on par with Goku and Gohan up until Goku's fight with Yakon in which Vegeta saw how he completely underestimated Goku's abilities (as he always does). Vegeta even admits at the end of the Buu saga that both Goku and Gohan's natural fighting capabilities outmatched his, even with his intense focus and training.

There's no way Goten could have achieved the SSJ Form simply from training with Chi Chi his whole life. Gohan most likely handled quite a bit of Goten's training. The SSJ2's power would have been way too much for Gohan to train with Goten in, so naturally, he'd stop using it and get a little sloppy with the form.

As far as Goten i don't know how accurate it is but according to something I read the offspring from a saiyan kinda inherits the strength of the father at the time of birth. goku was super saiyan when he knocked up chi chi as opposed to gohan level as a kid was definitely around goku's level. Goku just has more fighting experience(years + personality) than Gohan even with his raw potential.

It was made even more obvious to him when Gotenks unfused inside buu, and Buu took Piccolo's appearance on. @tofuyamas I have to agree with this. While Gohan did exhibit some overconfidence(i wouldn't call it arrogance) Gohan never realized about buu's absorption technique prior to meeting super buu cause fat buu never did it when he first fought him and almost died.
Imo while gohan was powerful he was also at a disadvantage with buu cause buu knew some tricks he didn't know. Goku's done this mistake a few times himself like against Buu after gotenks fusion wore off afterwards.

Atleast that's my idea of strenght. Someone with a power level of 50 and an IQ of 50 is weaker then someone with a power level of 35 and an IQ of 140. Boo's power was going up when they tore good boo out (good boo represents all the kai influence). @xmeany Kai energy and boo don't properly mix. Even ask dabura and babidi : together. There are 7 in all. We can't use kibitz and kaioshins energy , but we can use the others. The potara (a Kai based fusion) that's made up Kai energy. Doesn't work with vegetto when the candy beam strikes him. He still regained his strength and awareness. And when vegetto was absorbed and let his barrier down. He immediately separated. And finally boo's backstory is the verification.
