  • did you turn the trebble down? your ahhh sounds so smooth

  • Cool cunt!

  • Sounds SO good at the 1min mark onwards!!

Thanks man, gonna be hitting some of this haarrd the next few weeks...its just started to click properly in my head!

  • nice one man, cheers! big help!

  • whoa!

  • nasty*

  • I suck at the Prizm. I can sort of do it fast and repetitious but I can't seem to get my head round the broken down and groovy style. Any tips?

  • @bobbystips

    practice ;)

  • @bobbystips Try to make it slow and acquire control over any single sound of the combo.

Then try to put the emphasis differently on those sounds and try to play a little tune using those sounds.

This is the general method to gain control and skills in scratching and to play any combo in an original way.

  • @DjFastM That's some great advise. Cheers!

  • nice...:)

  • y0, mister fast m! nice skills! Can you tell me what beat you used in this demo?

    thanks!

  • @kregify the beat is a flash looper and i don't know its title, sorry.

  • @kregify the looper is Dusted loops 1 by Paesano

  • @KreamPi Right!

  • hey mate... whats ur scratch vinyl's name?? ur fresh sound is some differentt?? plz tell me its name....??

  • Clear! Good job!

  • haaaaaaa just dug out my mixer defo gonna try this one...the cold makes my fader slow!

    Pz,

    Fast-M

  • can you checkout ericuk and how he does the prizm......his look like the autobahn. tell me if you or him doing it right. both of them sound good i just wanna know the right way

  • Yes yes, very good tutorial. Doing it really slow like that for awhile really broke it down. It's cool to see what can be done with this scratch. I thought I was getting it down, but it still sounded like crap. You make it sound sick. It gives me motivation to really get this scratch solid. Thanks.

  • nice shit

  • the only thing thats fuckin with my head is the 2 TEARS BACK. they really dont look like "TEARS" to me...

and also the simple excuse that i skratch hampster.

    but nevertheless, great tutorial

  • checkout ericuk and how he is doing it. his shit dont look like tears either. I think he is doing autobahn and dont know it.fastm is doing them the right way

  • Yes.

  • not a bad tutorial but your record hand freaks me the f**k out son!

  • do more tutorials

  • your the man!

  • sick, finally a good demo scratch

  • Really good and clear vid compared to others.

    nice work... genuinely helpful

  • very good instructions.

  • so its like a 1 click flare - reverse chirp- 1 click flare.

    6 sounds?

  • On the firse forward stroke you have to obtain 2 sounds, but the fader movement can't be defined a click because it is not so fast as a click.

(It is more an hybrid between a click and a transforming.)

At this point you are with the record forward and the fader closed.

Now you begin a reverse chirp(other 2 sounds) and after this you are with the record forward and the fader closed again.

Now you do the last backward stroke from wich you have to obtain other 2 sounds opening the fader 2 times

  • perfect. gonna start practicing now aha

  • do you start with the fader closed or open?

when do you close & open the fader?

  • It dependes in wich point you begin the combo. If you begin it going forward with the record then the fader will be open otherwise it starts closed.

  • Comment removed

  • so in this video tutorial of yours are you starting with the fader closed or open?

  • it depends from where you begin the combo.

In general i think one should learn to begin a combo in more than one points, so that it can be played with more freedom toghether with other combos.

Remember...anything has to come from a record movement and the fader has to follow.

Record movement is anything and the rythm too has to come from the record.

  • ye aaa a a a aaa aaa aah. thanks alot. that really helped me.

  • imo best explanation...couldn´t figure the scratch out in other videos, slo-mo *thumb*

  • Niiiiiice. Have learn that. Thanks for posting :)

  • I ment to say, have TO learn that :D.

  • Thanks! ;)

  • Sounds like a dragged out transformer scratch to me....that is until you get to going faster with it.

  • Yes, i made it very slow in the first part and to keep it very slow and simple to understand it did not sounded so dope.

  • Well.....no matter how slow you go I still can't get it!!!! I'll stick to my flares and crabs. Good job.

  • dude that was fuckin awesome. My next scratch is goin to be prizm or delayed flares. Il have a play with both and see which one i pick up quicker. tnx for the vid

  • Go for delayed flares.

Delayed flares are harder to learn for the rythm that is the deepest part of scratching.

    Tnx for the comment.

  • Fast, perfect learning video. Thanks for it bro.

  • Thanks brother!

  • Great vid. I'm working on the delayed two click now, and this seems to be very much related.

    5 stars for you!

  • Thanks a lot!

I try to explain in a real simple way all the things i know.

One of my videos shows the delayed 2 clickers and 3 clickers.

Look at the the delayed 2 clicker type 2 in another of my videos.

The delayed 2 clickers type 2 have a relatively simple structure, but are not so simple to understand in timing.

Try it, they are very dope.

  • Yea I worked on the delayed 2 click all day yesterday and I'm getting it down now. This prism will be the next one I work on.

    Thanks!

  • is that still the stock fader in that numark?

  • No, i have changed the pro sm1 fader.

    There is a Vestax pcv.

  • Does it cut better?

  • Yeah dark, just that.

  • Ha, thanks for the explanation. Is that the Butt-Ugly Breaks? Just wondering. I have it ha.
