  • Fabulous. Glad I don't have to brush up on my Fortran! 5 stars.

  • It's cool that this kind of thing can be accomplished. The question one must ask themselves is . What is the data on the disk worth to you? Data recovery depending on the size of the hard drive will determine the price. You could be facing recovery costs up to $5000.00. It's much more cost effective just to make data backup's. Just make it a habit to back up data once a month at least ! Nero is a great program to use & it's simple. Well worth the money !

  • Friends why u r making noise!!! just post a comment after viewing it. Is it a bad video? I think not. COOL !!!

  • TREMENDOUS VIDEO !! really very helpful..I LIKE IT.

    STUART !!!

  • Tremendous Video. I like it....

  • Tremendous video. Very helpful.

  • cool vid ;)

  • real cheesy video. don't appreciate the spam. this is useless for 'home users' unless that data is worth more than the pretty penny spent to recover it. and even if i had lost data of that value, this would be the last company i'd look to.

  • If people are concerned about losing data they can simply add a hard drive to run in tandem. Also, people should back up important files on CD rom anyway.

  • 1 star for spamming

  • Stupid guy!

  • Great info!

I once spilled a full bottle of Heineken on my laptop.

Believe me I will be calling on Xytron. Do you people have any idea how long it takes to assemble a great porn collection? I'm sure most of you do!

It can all be lost in a moment of bliss and drunken ecstasy.

    Thanks Xytron!

  • Can you decrypt bitlocker? because my HDD failed because i enncryted it.

  • I always thought there was a tiny jiffy pop popcorn popper in those things.

  • Its Youspam. :-0

Now how did coffee get on the hard drive?

  • oh thats what that anoying noise is on my hard drive!

  • if i got a solidstate hard drive would it still make that crunching weird noise?

  • Kinda reminds me of a vinyl on a turntable.

  • LOL computer on crack XD

  • I knew it goes towards the center of the platter,

and i knew it didn't scratch it, but if you drop it while its off,

it could scratch it, if the head stops away from the platter, you can drop as much as you want, at that point, it is solid state,

there is nothing to bump around and corrupt data.

  • Is it really possible to recover data from a hard drive?

  • just put a bullet in the drive and put it out of its misery!

  • wow thank you for sharing this I learned a Lot

  • I believe you can set up a working harddisk as primary and your original "broken" one as secondary.... boot it off and it recovers by itself by sharing the files from the *working* harddrive....thats what I did and it worked.

  • coool video!

  • Wow how cool! Thanks for posting this!

  • Great video!! I made almost the same thing with a software i created, you can see the disk doing some seek

    algorithms (scan, sstf, fcfs, etc)

  • I uploaded a video that shows it in action

  • I used the IDE connection, and moved disk's arm to a specific cylinder using system calls.

How did you move it?? I don't see any data cable... I really like to know.

  • Hi. Thx for your great videos!

  • I have a QUESTION.

  • I've got a HDD which has this clicking noise when BIOS tries to recognize it.

  • Is there a chance that if I let BIOS try for a few hours, the HDD could somehow be recognized?

  • hey

spyware has deleted my computer HELP

  • Yes, you can save stuff as long as there is room. I would leave a few megs free just because something run over and will cause the application to crash.

  • If i got a solidstste hard drive would it still make that crunching weird noise?

  • what a stupid question. if you bothered to get a solid state hard drive, you should know that's the whole point in having them solid state. they're SOLID STATE = no moving = no crunching, duh!
