  • @stumpy4348 I'm best friends with Doug Vogts daughter

  • Don't worry upstander18 EzeffinE just might be one of those sorry ass VA Reps.

  • Ii'm outraged that our troops aren't getting the care they need!! No matter what our stance of the war (I'm against it, just so you'll know) we all agree that our troops deserve better!! I watched this and it moved me to tears on Bob's amazing recovery and report.

  • Excuse me? your telling me to shut the FUCK UP? WHO IN THE MOTHERFUCKIN SHIT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, YOU GODDAMN ASSWIPE? I swear the next person whom calls me a bitch, I'LL RIP YOUR BALLZ OF WITH MY BARE HANDS, GODDAMN YOU PATHETIC LITTLE SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what happend here?? what happend here is an unessasary war brought to you by rich white oil pigs and the military industral complex glad to see bob survived ,but they could fill nightly news casts for the next 3 years telling the story of those who did not make those not well known..your son your father your daughter ..sad sad waste of life and resources

  • Ya knpw what, it is heart wrenching to know that the majority of people voted for this administration on the far fetched idea that Roe V. Wade would be overturned. And now how many of our youth and our loved ones are getting life time injuries and death.

At what time does PRO LIFE begin? People!!! Wake up!!!

  • Best wishes Bob,I'm so glad your getting better.

  • I was so enraged by this report. The lack of care and respect that the veterans of this immoral war are getting from our governement is obscene. From Walter Reed to having to raise money for the Center for the Intrepid to this report, it is the same damn story. There was no thought about what we would need to do for these wonderful men and women who have been so misused by this administration. Thank God for Bob Woodruff and The Washington Post and Imus.

  • The message is: The VA has not been honest about the degree and number of brain injuries sustained by soldiers in Iraq. More importantly, what now will we do? I suspect that Youtube will prolifirate with spread sheet anaylasis of the problem and mini documentaries detailing the problem's immensity.

  • The show strongly suggested that 200,000 soldiers +-

have sustained traumatic brain injuries from being in the vicinity of the concussion of bomb explosions.

  • I suggest you watch the show again. It stated that 200k soldiers have reported to the VA for health care. This included everything from dental work to PTSD. Soldiers use the VA as their health care provider due to the fact that many do not have individual insurance policies.

  • No. I believe that you are incorrect. That is why I believe that YouTube will be an excellent gather of news and facts. YouTube groups will open on the subject of TBS, familys of brain injured men will start getting together, keep & report statistics. YouTube mebers will do mini documentaries of the brain injured men & womwn soldiers, just as Bob Woodruff has done. Sorry emors4487 the flood gates of truth have been opened.

  • The number is not 23000 but over 200,000 using VA after the war. Watch the clip on Imus. The secretary of the VA is deflecting. Why aren't we seeing the bodies come off the plane? Why is this president/dictator the first in history to not go to the funerals. Arrogance!! Disrespect!! Ideas of Grandiosity!! This is all just too horrific.

  • entire documentary edited down to 25 mins i added and the section on the "200,000" is in there, can do a search on my user name to find my videos

  • There is no mention of the fate of the Iraqi soldier that was protecting them. They don't even mention his name. Iraqis are non-humans to ABC News.

  • I think that it's ridiculous to say they don't care. First, the soldier was on patrol and they were riding along-he wasn't there strictly to protect them. I watched this on tv & got the feeling that everyone involved was extremely grateful for the soldiers' work in getting them the help they needed. Also, they were probably only with those men for about 10 minutes before suffering their injuries. I wouldn't expect them to remember my name either.

  • They do know his name, it has been printed by other sources. ABC does not think it's important. There is not a single word of concern for the hell this man's family has been through. He was protecting them from small arms fire, and would have been inside the tank had they not been there.

All but ignoring him is an example of the way Arabs are dehumanized in the American media.

  • You make an interesting point. But we don't know what happens off camera. The point of this documentary was to bring to light the effects of traumatic brain injuries, not just Bob Woodruff. I'm sure he was very grateful to this man for all he did. And since he created this piece, I'm sure the soldier wasn't excluded for a malicious purpose. But after this initial focus on the injury, the piece focused more on veteran care in the US. That was the point of the piece.
