@AriannaMauree...u dnt need a strong back 2 do the toe rise back bend/popover, u just rele need 2 push ur hips forward and then up, it's more complex than that tho, trust me my friend Em has a weak back and she can do them.

Well part of the reason is that you're using muscles that you're not used to using. You probably feel the shooting pain in the front, cause you're not used to doing toe rises in that position.
Exercise that muscle group, as well as your ankles (something that should be stated whenever you do a how-to involving toe rises) and you won't feel the discomfort for long
well first if you know how to do a bridge and you have enough flexibility and strength than you can try this advanced. Nobody said you should just try everything.

This skill does require flexibility in your back. If you lack this, try our partner back bend exercise to stretch and strengthen your back muscles. A lot of the momentum to achieve this skill comes from pushing off the floor wiht your arms. Finally, you must push your pelvis forward and use your quad muscles to get you all of the way over. Doing squats and our across the floor plyometrics could help with this!!!
Great illustration. please show more of these types of combination tricks. you guys have a lot of great how-to-do videos but i haven;t seen one on fouettes. i think it would be great if you could do a video on them.
