@jsme81 There is no difference between the ve r8 or gts in performance. The gts weighs more so the extra 8kw don't do anything. The ve weighs nearly 200kg more than the vz version but the computer in the ve engines is more intelligent and more consistent and responsive.
I am yet to see a ve hsv reach 0-100km in the 4.96 sec claim. The vz they got it down to 5.1 sec. The new car due next year will be a major makeover still using the ve platform so should be interesting.
@jsme81 The VE really was a let down. I'm not a Holden Supporter, but I like the VZ/VY look. The VE is just fat, and you're right, the VY Clubsport gives a lot of the newer ones a run for their money.
Go mate. I got a vz clubsport r8 and ur car is not stock. I can tell from the sound of the engine and the higher idle speed. The car sits at 500rpm stock and when tuned usually idles up to about 750rpm.
Dont worry about looks. it was the class above the old vt vz that made the ve so good. its a much bigger car with much more to offer.
Its allways good to see someone that can drive and shift a real 0-100.

That is 0-100 in 5seconds flat. Pretty good for a stck car

That is definately quicker than any standard ve hsv and not far off the w427.

@bortous Yeah I think it's quicker than the VE's, maybe not a 325kw GTS. It would be quicker than a VY Clubsport.

I bought it 3 months ago, assumed it was stock. I take your point, I will check it out.
It has a stock exhaust, stock intake, doubtful it would be tuned without anything else done to it though.

@jsme81 If it is tuned you will need an exhaust and extractors and Otr intake so it runs properly.
Let me know what you find. U pretty happy with the car so far?
bortous 1 year ago
@bortous Yeah very happy. Those mods are in the near future. :)

@jsme81 Do you believe ur car is a better drive than a ve although the ve is a better car?

@bortous Never driven the VE's. They're not my cup of tea to be honest.

@bortous i can assure you this car is stock as a rock, not so much as even extractors or even a otr on it
