@sixnames You're blaming the problems in London on a wealthy business persons mansion? So let's assume Bill Gates owned this home. He started his company from scratch, worked hard and made billions of dollars. Consumers purchased the products he offered for sale. Is he not allowed to build/buy a stunning mansion with those? The problem with most people is that they expect rich people to give away all their money because it's not fair.
@priceypads Bill Gates is a criminal, disturbing the model of equal opportunities to its core. Please refrain from giving examples like this, it is ridiculous and you should be ashamed of yourself. Criminals should not even own a house, and Bill Gates is in that category beyond any doubt. Unbelievable.
Bill Gates has a house with 85 car park spaces under it. Compare Bill Gates with Warren Buffett, who lives in a $35,000 house that he bought in the 1950's and has formica table tops and drives a car that is over 6 years old. Warren Buffet can easily buy such a house but he doesn't. Good for him.
@sixnames Stop being so jealous, and don't watch videos of mansions if you don't like them. If you want to blame somebody for the problems with a country blame the government.
@priceypads Calm down. This is a manifestation of what is wrong with London. The government is at fault for allowing dirty money to buy properties. Russian oligarchs that are crooks who snapped up all the large businesses after the collapse of communism. It's ruining London for the hardworking people whom you seem to respect so much. Property prices are through the roof. And it is more fair to redistribute wealth than have an elite class.
that is ridiculous no one should buy that kind of house...there are people in this country living on the streets and starving to death and billionaires going around buying these mansions............what is wrong with this country we call the U.S. of america
I totally agree with 502honeybuns. Just to remind Priceypads that also every day 26.000 children die from as simple as diarrhea or malnutrition. Why not sell such a house and get the proceeds to save those children and give them a chance ? People who can afford such houses should think twice to buy such a house because most normal people are asked for donate 2 quid to support those kids. How about Wateraid ? Or Red Cross. It is shameful that people must live like that.
@502honeybuns So? Does that mean that they can't enjoy their money that THEY worked hard for?! They don't owe anyone anything! Yes there's poverty and it's sad but it's everywhere and these billionaires can't change it! Blame your government honey! As long as the billionaires/millionaires donate money to charity and do their bit, then theres no reason why they shouldn't get to spend their money however they want! Btw this is here in the UK- not the US!
If they did I can tell you if all those billionaires would put all the money together on one heap, there will be for 7 billion people each $25 million or more. So that everyone can buy a nice house, car and have kids. There is no reason to have more money than that. It can last a lifetime living from the interest. But no, selfish people must have more and more.
