So you're from Singapore? The way you use your accent reminds me of the lead singer from the Cranberries; strategic working with it instead of trying to suppress it. It's wonderful, I think, and your voice is absolutely adorable.

Have you heard of a band called Sarek? They're Swedish, but this song with the celtic sound reminds me of their style. Have you considered using a nyckelharpa instrument in your song? I think it'd sound great.

@Ulkhani I live in Singapore currently, but not a local. Yes, I adore Dolores O'Riordan's vocal since I was a kid and I guess it does give influence which, if it wasn't point out, I might not be aware of it myself. I might check out that band you recommend.

@Ulkhani For Nyckellharpa, I consider it more appropriate for Nordic inspired music. Yes, Nordic and Celtic music are rather similar, but I made this referencing specifically to Celtic music. I do have something referenced to Nordic music and it does use Nyckellharpa sets.

I agree that the whole Solar Empire vs. Lunar Republic thing is a bit played-out. I mean, sure, it's made for some amazing songs... like, you know, YOURS for example, but this fandom does need more love and harmony between the royal sisters.

"simple but with perfect arrangements," is the way to go! It's a great thing to keep in mind when composing music. It's like using the K.I.S.S. method; as in "keep it simple stupid". When I compose I want the melodies to sound great but staying at a low difficulty level. I love the stringed instrument that is panned right's melody! It's an excellent example of the KISS method.

Celestia and Luna would be so damn proud. Lovely chorus! Is that another language your singing in the choruses?

But I think it's because I happen to sing a Celtic influenced song, something that Kate is very expert on and honestly her works inspired me at some point too. I was trained with intensive breathing control and to maintain "roundness" in my vocal coaching days. So I guess my voice is somewhat more operatic/deep (or I'd say fat, deep, and nasally :P) compared to Kate clear, natural, and airy voice.

And yeah, dat watdefudge accent ^^;
