  • I tried this recipe, pero ng maluto na parang kulang sa conrstarch mahirap siyang ma slice. Baka naman dapat dagdagan ang cornstarch? hindi nyo ata pinakita ang tamang measuring ng cornstarch and the coconut milk para di masyadong malabnaw at tama lang ang lasa.

  • hello, I have tried your recipe already. It is kind of soggy when I slice it. portions stick to the knife and is kind of messy. Can I increase the measurement of corn starch to make it a bit stiffer? thanks!

    the stirring should be non-stop at the point where you put the cornstarch in, and from there you can gauge if the mixture is getting thickened the way it should be, or to your own liking. mind the heat, needless to say. and yes, perhaps a little but not too much cornstarch, otherwise, that starchy taste.

    Ingredients:

    4 cups coconut milk

    3/4 cup cornstarch

    14 ounces condensed milk

    3/4 cup fresh milk

    3/4 cup granulated sugar

    15 ounces whole sweet kernel corn

    5 tbsp toasted grated coconut

  • @GESSMITHful here in the UK it's basically just normal table sugar (sucros) that u put in coffee or tea. It's usually white, refined form and the brand like SilverSpoon has them.

  • @applejoymatris yep, in the UK corn starch and corn flour are the same, although some countries have these products as separate types of flour. But the corn starch's purpose is to make the mixture thick.

    tips: i'll omit the 1 cup sugar ot make it 1/2 cup instead,

    make sure it is a deep dish so the maja blanca is nice in presentation,

    otherwise i'll make this again..it was really good!!
