  • I love so much Bolet playing!

  • Comment removed

  • @spaetensonaten It pisses me off when people call piano pieces songs.

  • @tjtheplay AMENNN! I just want to smack everyone who calls a symphony or a sonata a song.

  • "Jimmy I'm pregnant"

    Boardwalk Empire

  • the peacmaker me je doveo ovde...

  • witcher 2 has this song? where?!

  • hitler-like pianist

  • @HvKleist090 lolllllllllll

  • @HvKleist090 Hitler?!? You have to be fucking kidding me. Jorge Bolet was Cuban born, and a wonderful human being. In 1942, at age 28 he joined the US Army.

In Contrast, Hitler was a politican, an asshole, and NOT a very good example of humanity, but he was in the German Army.

  • Thumbs up if you are here because you are doing a homework and you need to concentrate

  • So soothing, so gentle.. feels like a moment frozen in time.

  • the lat part sounds so weird if you play slow with 1 hand (when i 1st started practicig)

  • @scorpiotuber Totally agree. My dad said that it gave him a a headache. Now he thinks it is sublime. Guess slow practice makes bad parts sound good.

  • ♥_♥

  • I noe this might sound abit weird ._. but that guy looks like hitler...i enjoy the music though =) , great expression and tonality

  • @zhengyi97 lol

  • @zhengyi97 it is actually... When he realized that the whole conquering the world thing wasnt going to happen, he faked his death and took up the piano... shh, dont tell anyone!

  • I think people need to stop arguing about who has the "best" interpretation of this piece. As long as you can bring out emotions within listeners, you will have done your job.....hence my next point....

I think playing piano shouldn't have to be about who can play the fastest or the most technically demanding pieces.....it should be about bringing out emotions within listeners. If you can picture a different world or see a story when listening, then the pianist will have done his/her job.

  • @xyx1412999 You sir are a simple-minded fool.

  • @spaetensonaten Care to elaborate?

  • Great feelings

  • We can say a lot of things about Hitler, but we can surely not say, he dont know how to play piano!

  • @vide0gameCaster xDDDDD LOLROFLMAOBBQ!

  • I absolutely love this piece. When I first began taking Piano Lessons it was because I wanted to learn to play this. Bolet has a wonderful ear for this interpretation of the Nocturne. Just beautiful for a song that is intended to be sad.

  • THANK YOU WITCHER 2

  • @smith9225 Haha, seriously, you can claim that god himself called this a song, it still wouldn't make it one...

    It's a PIECE. plz

p.s. "Finaly, song, oposed, bruaght" etc etc... I can only assume how pro your teachers are; bwahaha

  • The (amazing) girl I'm with (as of a week ago) just played this song to me last night, so I only came on here to listen to it again. I /also/ recently acquired an absolutely monstrous PC, which I naturally thought I'd run a game like the Witcher 2 on. Learning here that I can enjoy both simultaneously is totally wondrous. Thanks, life.

  • So beautiful...

  • Wow, great playing :)

Also... spelt Melbourne wrong... that is, if it's Melbourne, Australia...

  • @smith9225

you dont play a song, you sing a song!

you're glad that you can play this NOCTURE. NOT A SONG PLEASE

  • so nicly playd mmm m.. thanks 4 uploading it.

  • Blur and Metallica introduced them to Ennio Morricone; Witcher 2 to Chopin nocturnes - pop culture educated the kids.

  • @kentlofgren No matter if you discover Chopin with the WItcher 2 or Johnny Cash with the Undertaker... Culture is something universal^^

  • MERCI

  • The peacemaker brought me here... ;)

  • Beautiful. WTF is Witcher 2?

  • Comment removed

  • @TheOneNo20 In fact 'The Witcher 2' is a video game developed by a polish studio, and they used this nocturne of Chopin in one the trailer of the game. And as it is beautiful, it brought a lot a people here...

  • @Bastoun34 & Chopin taught me about Witcher 2 lol

  • @TheOneNo20 same ;)

  • Chapeau chopin

  • NOoo! Pants! where are thou going?! fap!

  • Comment removed

  • lol what's the chance i started learning this song a week before the trailer came out?

mind = blown when i saw the trailer.

  • piano always did and will always give me the chills when played well

  • @outlawzqc Amen to that

  • Thumbs up if The Witcher 2 brought you here

  • @zuurkool99 Took a while^^ But totally worth it.

  • @zuurkool99 what is witcher 2? i just love good music :P

(yes i know what the witcher 2 is lol)

  • @zuurkool99 yeah buddy

  • @zuurkool99 Geek^^. That is your comment which brought me to the Witcher 2 teaser, which is really nice.

  • @zuurkool99 The Witcher 2 shouldn't have HAD to bring you here. =)

  • @zuurkool99

Sorry...I was brought here by "The Peacemaker."

  • @unwittingnemesis same :)

  • I came here because this is my favorite of Chopin's nocturnes

  • @ForTheBenefitOfMan are you proud of yourself that it wasn't Witcher 2 (whatever the fuck that is) and feel the need to distinguish yourself from the masses?

  • @kirinlager49 If one man can say he came due to a video game why can't another state the simple fact that he came because he was searching for one of his favorite piano pieces?

Seeing that you actually took time to read the comments thereby finding mine you would see that the "masses," as you put it, simply enjoy this piece of music and were, in fact, not driven here by any external stimulus.

Hmmm I must summarize my closing statement. This shall do: I eat trollz 4 breakfast!

  • @ForTheBenefitOfMan I am glad that the masses were not drawn here by a video game... I certainly wasn't, but I'm not so pretentious that I feel the need to make a point of it. Congratulations on being here because you love classical music - no one cares.

P.S. You eat shit for breakfast.

  • the best interpretation i've listened to

  • best part is 4:35

    It kills me with emotions

  • He didn't sound a note in the beginning!!

  • wow, that piano is a fantastic specimen. Sounds rich and perfect.

  • its hitler!!!

  • I have it on good information that Bolet and Chopin both spent time in Armenia

  • Chopin was a BEAST. Excellent interpretation as well.

  • I love Maestro Bolet's Liszt as well...

  • İts so wrong!

  • Wow that was a delight to watch

  • @4:34 This is one of the most beautiful progressions ever composed... Bolet deserves props for playing this with such an ethereal sound, but Chopin was definitely the real genius...

  • I am just so proud! lol

  • this is wonderful

  • I'm so proud that Chopin wasn't a Butt Ugly Martian. :)

  • is that Hitler playing?

  • @jimmysevolution NO, IT IS YOUR MOM WHO FORGOT TO SHAVE, YOU IDIOT.

  • @jimmysevolution you're a moron, shaved or not you couldn't play this song

  • I'm so proud that Chopin was Chuck Norris :D

  • If this was written by Chuck Norris than it would end with an axe kick to the piano and fighting the entire audience in hand to hand combat. Unless they cut this video short.

  • @torontosmoker oh my goodness you got be laughing there

  • I'm proud that Bolet was Cuban!

  • I play that better than him lol

  • sooooooooooooft and deep sensations

  • Meditative yet emtionally significant Chopin...lovely interpretations. Pity Bolet wasn't into conducting.

  • "Nationalism does nothing but teach you how to hate someone you've never met. And all of a sudden, you start taking pride in accomplishments you had no part in."

    -Doug Stanhope

  • @ProkofievRules

You and Doug Stanhope got a point there ;)

  • @ProkofievRules Capitalism does nothing for us, everything we do is for 'it'. instead of trying to build a free future for all, we let few people run the world and demoralise us. I always had the feeling, even as a little child, that there was something wrong with the way we live, could be different..

  • @ProkofievRules Just like supporting a sports team. Yet there must be something in it, since everybody does it every now and then.

  • Fryderyk Chopin is Polish and nothing can change it. (Ye, Im proud... :))

  • <3

  • superb!

  • WTF? I heard him being Polish, Chinese, Scottish and Italian? Can you people decide where the man comes from? jeezus christ..

  • @Olivere118 He's polish. Not that hard to wikipedia.

  • wasnt chopin chinese?

  • wasn't chopin scottish....

  • ...and I'am so proud that Jorge Bolet was cuban

  • Stupendo!

  • That Steinway piano is awesome

  • Magnificent! So sensitive and gorgeous!!!!

  • its so sad

  • i m so proud i am italian too)))

  • lol he looks like he's asleep as he plays it

  • I'm so proud that Chopin was French, too !!!!

    Héhéhé

  • reminds me of hitler

  • @shinemyshoes7 dumb.

  • My God! SZOPEN

  • I'm so proud that Chopin was a space midget with buck teeth and baby's arm growing out of his back

  • Chopins mother must have been proud that he was polish human.

  • seriously though.... youtube is all gay when they get some public exposious about something gay, but some1 saying what hohohee1 said gets by for a week lol???? !!!

  • How can you say HEIL HITLER?? You dind't know this guy is Cuban?

  • Been looking for this video aprox 20 minutes...I had forgot who played it....I'm sooo glad I found it...It's beautiful.

  • @novan08 chill out

  • @thenamesfrancisco haha yeah i probably should. I was kinda tripping last night. My bad.

  • @novan08 lmfao

  • @novan08 Yea, sometimes my lamp does the same thing.. It thinks it's SOO special lighting up the room... stupid lamp

  • experience in each single note.

  • Bolet may look like Hitler, but he was well over six feet tall! If anything, his genius and talent in some way counteract the evil that was Hitler. An incredibly talented and sensitive artist. It's a shame that the Philistines make such an odious connection.

  • @Concertek i m agree with you

  • That's totally Hitler.

  • Hitler plays piano?

  • not gonna lie, i thought that was for SURE Hitler.

  • the guy playing looks like Hitler!

  • i just clicked on a video while reading. When I wanted to click on another video, I was like w t f :D hitler playing.

but this guy plays great, lots of feeling.

  • Eccezionale interpretazione....excellent...

  • The greatest ever....

  • I'm so proud that Chopin was human : D

  • @sebastianrc Chopin wasn't a human. He was a demigod sent down to show humanity how beautiful piano really can be. In my opinion, Chopin was the king of piano during the "love" era.

  • @sebastianrc and he should be ashamed

  • @sebastianrc Are you sure? ;D

  • @sebastianrc and I'm so pround that Chopin was from Poland :]

  • @sebastianrc As opposed to a frog? What a ridiculous sentence.

  • @HarryPuntCunnington You know when people say that "I'm so glad that (person) is (ethnicity, from certain country, etc.)", he's going against that.

  • Wonderfully played. TY.

  • Can anyone tell me the chords you play with your led hand in the first part please?

  • @HarryPuntCunnington

    The flats are [ abde ] - Chords F , ACF, G, EBE, A, CA, E (neutral) , BCG, F, ACF, G, EBE, A, CA ,E(neutral) BCA.

HOPE THAT HELPS BUT ITS HELLA WEIRD LOOKIN AT NOTES LIKE THAT. recommend u copy it on a score sheet!

  • jegspillerpiano

    :)

Nice when someone agrees with our opinion, thank you, I sent an extensive statement on your Nick, I do not know whether the received

  • from the old school !!!!

the piano is singing ...not spitting or shouting.

    love it ::)

  • walszebnica, you're completely right! boilet understand chopin's intimacy better than others.

  • took me a few listens to appreciate this piece but it was worth it. initially to me it was a bit boring, but now its one I can't stop listening to

  • Beautiful video !

  • this guy looks like a giant on the piano.. but a nice friendly giant who plays this nocturne so beautifully i just sit there and breathe it in :D

  • A great piece

  • when I first saw his face I was like "OMG, Hitler plays piano!"

Nevertheless, wonderfull song, I can play it and I'm proud of that, when you play such a song, easy or hard, is the most joyfull thing in the world.

  • My Favorite Chopin piece. Fantastic. Bravo!

  • Comment removed

  • ...thanks maestro!

  • bravo!

  • gorgeous tone.

  • Amazingly beautiful. Bravo Jorge!

  • FUUUCKING TUUUUUNE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @glennandrewcameron what u mean?

  • @newFranzFerencLiszt i meant this is a good tune...

  • I must say that this is one of my most favorite nocturnes so far. To me it gloomy bittersweet, graceful and ravishing/enchanting at the same time.

P.S. Doesn't this guy resemble someone a bit much. I don't know maybe {(Reltih)-_- backwards.} Especially with that mustache and all. Just sayin. And I Know I'm probably not the first to point that out or at least notice the similarity.

  • @Pianosolful yeah i know what you mean lol xD!!

  • Absolutely gorgeous, played exquisitely and with such sensitivity.

  • very beautiful..........i love it ))))))))

  • how do u call it, when tippled two buttons (?) very fast (donnu how 2 explain) eg in 0:34 ? sb knows peaces with many of those inside?

  • @omoshiroidayo It's called a 'trill', if you are trying to learn how to do it on the piano there is a book by Hanon full of (boring) exercises to train all of your fingers in this. I think the one after this one (op55 2) has a pretty long trill near the end.

  • lol i started playing it and i watched him and i was like "wow i got a lot to learn

    from this guy"^^

  • he just tickles those keys dosn't he(: lol.

  • I feel like it's my most favorite nocturne, but then I discover one another, and so on, and so on. Can't stop listening. Love, love, love.

  • jorge bolet.great master

  • im so proud that Chopin was polish :)
