  • Where did you get the Sword lvl 3?

  • @7:20 you jumped into that hole and it took you into a room, when I did it, I was brought to a different room. :(

  • your skill for this game clearly shows the amount of hours u've put into this one game... but atleast ur sharing it on youtube and doing something with it i guess i cant call u a no-life gamer i think for 56 thousand views its worth it all. you should look into the right college degree, and consider getting a job doing those game trailers that show actual game-play footage. they pay professional gamers alot to record a perfect segment of game-play for their trailer.

  • Nice run!! I was upset at 3:51. It was the only hit you took! You could have perfected the castle!!!

  • Thanks for the video! Of every dungeon in this game, the Ice Palace is the only one that gives me any trouble. I usually beat the boss in ~20 seconds, but the maze to get there--oh man!

  • It's been a while since I played this game. I don't think I ever beat this dungeon cause it was so f*cking hard.

  • Woww Man You Are Like The Zelda Master Or Something . O.o @Debresko

  • Like a boss...

  • dude you're like...the zelda master or something.

  • I shall now call you " Clutchmaster "

  • I saw you had a thunder symbol next to bombos what is that and how did you get it

  • @789GameFreak987 That's Ether. You get it from a monolith just west of the Mountain Tower. It's required to get into Lv6: Misery Mire.

  • FUCK this dungeon

  • This dungeon is a NIGHTMARE when you are playing it for the first time with no help. Pure Water Temple-ish hell when you keep walking around aimlessly through a level that's so frustrating to navigate, just wondering what the hell you are supposed to do!?

  • Dude you are sucha beast!

  • where can i get that better shield?

  • @cobainsprodigy Throw your shield into the waterfall of wishing near the northeast corner of the light world map. Alternatively you could buy one, but why waste the rupees?

  • i...love...you!!!

  • A method I like using on the Pengators is freezing them with the other medallion. Then you can just break them open with the Magic Hammer and regain your magic back. :) ... You are pretty amazing at this game, btw! lol

  • You make this game look pathetically easy...

  • Period.

  • Period

  • In my opinion, Lv1 is easy, Lv2 is hard, Lv3 is hard, Lv4 is easy, Lv5 is easy, Lv6 is easy and Lv7 is hard

  • I got to the boss, then accidentally hit my "load game" key for the one I saved before the dark palace boss. This sucks.

  • I'm having trouble beating the Ice Palace! At 7:32, when you drop into the room and move the block to hit the switch, I drop in the room and the block is a couple paces away from the switch, and since you can only move it one pace, I can't get it on the switch!

I'm not sure if I move that block earlier in the level and after saving it stayed there, but am I screwed?

  • @eLmarciano87 You're probably pushing the wrong block into the hole in the room above. Make sure it's the bottom-left block.

  • Sweet vid, you got some talent!

  • i defeated him be4 you did :3

  • Amazing!

  • Lol. This guy kinda sucks. I mean, a hookshot one-hit kills pengators, and your invincible while you do it lol.

  • man your video helped me alot i was going in circles in this palace.

  • you had to pull the tongue on the statue, what the hell...

  • ur a pro

  • original falling-down-a-hole noise ftw

    aiiiiaaoouuuuu

  • How do you get the 1/2 on your magic meter

  • @Dragonhunnter

You go to Kakariko Village, go to the house where there are those little dwarf dudes who are swordsmith. There should be something outside blocking the way to an entrance to a hole. I think you need to use the magic hammer. After you go in, go straight and into the altar. Sprinkle magic powder on the red jewel in the center of the altar and you get the 1/2 magic meter.

  • I just needed to know how to get the big key so THX!!

  • Great guide, thank you :)

  • does link save his brother

  • I don't care what anyone says this dungeon is way harder than the water temple.

  • @Ronso158 lol, yeah fuckin rite.

  • Goog job. What a great player.

  • "1/2 magic upgrade" I thought it was bad to have that. I thought it decreases your power by 1/2?

  • @RoseThorn It's a good thing. It makes items take only half as much magic power as normal to use.

  • @Desbreko Ohh. Thanks! Learn something new everyday.

  • @Desbreko how do u get all ethers i only have one

  • @TheKing891000 You mean the magic medallions? You can read how to get Bombos in the video description. Ether, you get from the monolith just west of the Mountain Tower. Quake, you get by tossing something into a ring of stones in the water in the Dark World up by where the entrance to Zora's Waterfall is in the Light World.

  • @RoseThorn The Bat tells you that but he's lying; test it out, he actually doubles it, as Desbreko points out.

  • @RoseThorn Hahaha that little devil talks ambiguosly. It switches between friendly and hostile speech, and when he tells you what he did to your magic meter, it can be interpreted as either your magic meter or your magic consumption has been halved.

In Link's Awakening it reapears and still talks as if it was cursing you when it's actually upgrading your items.

  • @RoseThorn i thought that 2

  • @RoseThorn It halves the drain on your magic meter.

  • Dude, I have been spending days trying to figure out how to get on the other side of those orange blocks. Ugh. How annoying.

  • You could have used the cape to not get hurt in that one spot.

  • this palace is a fucking lab,u can lose yourself many times

  • i do not know if this castle is harder than misery mire or not, what do u think about it? anyways it´s obvous that the hardest 1s r ganon´s tower n trutle rocks in the second place.

  • Thank you! You did a great job giving tips and such.

You're also a marvelous player. Good job!

  • Favorite dungeon in the entire game.

  • YOU GOT HURT well thats right nobodie's perfect hey i got a tip on you for the spike thing! that where you got hurt from 3:53 you can use the magic cape for that ore the cane of bymna??

  • @legoformers23459 Yeah, I know. I didn't care to swap items again because I knew I'd get that heart back later anyway.

And actually, if you wait till you come back down through there after getting the big key, you can just hookshot the chest to pass over the spikes unharmed without using magic, like I do at 4:55.

  • @Desbreko okay ^_^ um yeah im gonna ask i play the GBA?? the game boy advance so i dont have the part where you fall a block and push it so yeah i got really dizzy at that part cause i watch this before i play my GBA so yeah still got the works of it im at the lv7 now ^_^ oh and yeah question what is this shahara the elder saying about the medicine power?? or the power of medicine or something??

  • @legoformers23459 That room was reworked in the GBA version to prevent you from using the Cane of Somaria from Lv6 to bypass the puzzle. You still get through the door at the bottom of the room the same way as shown in this video, though.

The message at the entrance of Lv7 just tells you that it's a good idea to bring some green or blue potions, since you use a lot of magic in Lv7. You can get free green potions by tossing a bottle into the fairy pond in the Waterfall of Wishing, by the way.

  • hey, where'd you get that cape and the blue cane? i have no idea where you find them... =P

  • @adamanddustinh The Magic Cape is in the Light World graveyard's top-right grave that's blocked by dark stones. To find the Cane of Byrna, go through the Dark World portal by the Mountain Tower and drop off the ledge just below where the portal warps you to.

  • Best game ever, poetry in motion watching that mate

  • one of the best games ever!!! my imagination ran wild back in the day when I played this game. now all these graphic gizmo try hards are runnin the show...but 9 times out of 10...they straight dun goofed up!

  • donde conseguistes el escudo rojo, el baston de hielo, para mas bombas y flechas, para mas poder magico y la bolsa para atrapar a los mounstros rojos q rebotan en las paredes porfavor responde

  • best game ever

  • why on earth did nintendo change the room with the cane of somaria trick.

to stop cheaters (though iv seen a vid where someone actually did the cheat in the gba ver) (i think that was youtube user greenlink) or just cuz they felt like it.

  • wow it's like you've done this a thousand times

  • this should have more views...seriously

  • OmG!!!! Thank you so much for this video... I would have been stuck here forever. Crazy how all the other dungeons gave me no trouble at all but this one was a bastard! The room at 5:36 had me looking around like crazy for a switch before I even tried going in to the top big key door. go figure...

  • i so hate those ice creatures, of yeah and if you're low on magic use the hook shot against those pengatars, but i usually use bombos

  • What do all your new tunics DO?

  • @batursi They lower the amount of damage you sustain when you're hit. There's another one you get after the 2nd and protects you even more.

  • 3:38 - My personal way is to run straight to the opposite wall and quickly walk up to the stairs.

  • I got so lost in the fucking dungeon it's not even funny. I was walking in circles going 'IT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!!" lolz This helped, thanks!

  • how did you get the bombos, because i can't find them anymore:(

  • holy F***ing shit, did you guys see how fast he finished this dungeon?

  • this level is so annoying......

  • dude i wish i woulda had skills like that back when i first played this dungeon haha it took me like 5 hours to do, now you pretty much shatter my record by about 4 hours and 50 minutes, bastard ... haha jk

  • damn bro you literally raped this dungeon... is this ur favorite Zelda game

  • Wow, you're really good at this o__o I'm playing through the GBA version for the first time (yeah, I know, super late to the party) and it's pretty fun, but I've gotten stuck at this dungeon. Watching your video now, hopefully I can figure out what to do next!

  • @Cloud11262 your late i started 1 week ago

  • that is one of the better dungeons in the series for me

  • At 5:52 on the gba version the room is completely different.. shit.

  • @Anthony883 It's different, but only to stop the Cane of Somaria trick. The normal method of getting through the bottom door is still the same as shown in this video.

  • where do you get that medallion fire 2-like-chrono-trigger type thing? i got ether and quake but idk whre to get that one

  • I hate the room at 3:38 pisses me off

  • @GreenIInk 1:47 i meant sucks that we cant erase our own comments..

  • There is a secret room @3:53 on the right side of the room

( You forgot that room ) xD!

  • @TheTRancel0ver That room doesnt open even with a bomb

  • How do you get that thing. It looks like a bag..

  • @GreenIInk You mean the magic powder? Find the mushroom in the Lost Woods and take it to the witch over on the east side of the river, just north of the East Palace.

  • How do i get that bag..

  • I miss those medallions :28

I used to love the Quake one when Link crashed into the ground.

  • you have an insane amount of skill and practice in this vid

  • i like your style!

  • how do you get that thing where you spin and cause the fire? i am at this stage of the game and have hardly any of the gear that you have hahahahaha

  • Happy to see I'm not the only one who tries to do the Spin Attack right before I grab a pendent / crystal. Nice work man, eight minutes and thirty seconds.

  • To me...this is the hardest palace in the game...I dread it SOO much...I love all the other ones, just not this one.

  • Never mind, I just noticed your use of the HS at 2:14. My apologies.

  • Deskbreko, thanks for posting this. This has really helped me. May I make a humble suggestion, too? The Hookshot works wonders against the penguin creatures since you can turn in all directions while standing still. I've used it instead of Bombos to save on magic.

  • dam I wasted up all my keys so I can't open the door at 5:52 I hope there one somewhere in the palace that I can to unlock that door

  • There is. The game doesn't let you get stuck by using keys in the wrong places.

Just watch carefully where I get keys in the video and check all those places.

  • lol yeah your right after I left that comment I went through the temple and I noticed I forgot one key at 6:41 and I was like how is anyone suppose to know there is a key there?

  • Lol not Much boss in that boss lol

  • yeah nice style

  • I am on this level now. Have been trying to beat it for awhile.

  • turtle rock is muuuch harder than this 1, anyway i think that this level is harder than misery mire escept 4 the boss

  • this is easily the hardest dungeon for me puzzle-wise

  • how do yo get higher magic again? i forgot lol

  • @30secondstomarscam

Go to the smith house in the light world, use the hammer to pass through the thingy and then fall in the hole, go to the upper room and use magic dust [?] in the bowl thingy.

  • wow...the first dungeon that i needed help throught and it was as simple as pulling the litte statues tongue...i totallly didnt try that...LMAO i hit it with everything...even the bug catching net...its my first play through just in case

  • wow thanks i couldnt figuree out the part were u push the block down the whole... this helped me alot thank you so much...

  • What a slick, high quality upload! Anyways, I'm playing this for the GBA, and I figure I must have used one of my small keys on the door on the right at 2:20, and ended up getting into a room I had already been in. I don't know where to find the next small key, help! D:

  • I open that door on my way back from getting the big key so that shouldn't matter. Double check all the key locations shown in the video and you should be able to find the next one that you need.

  • I take it this is SNES version? Cuz if so, can I get that AWESOME flame medallion thingy in gba?! Quake medallion is ok, really destructive but :p

  • Yeah, you get Bombos the same way in the GBA version. Check the video description to see how.

  • loved when you knocked at the door with your sword

  • Hey did u know with zsnes 151 u can go to speed in config and set a fast forward button so u an zip thru things at like 10 times speed instead of pegasus boots running all the time. just be careful not to run into too many enemies u will lose tons of health at ten times the rate lol

  • You can do that with Snes9x as well. I once tried playing through the game at 2x speed. It became a lot harder that way.

  • your vids are awesome lol, keep up the good work.

  • Did you know you can defeat a Pengator by using your hookshot only once

  • Take a look at 2:06.

  • just like i said :)) thank you for the research sir

  • lmao nice

  • hey like the video been stuck on it for a while

  • Thanks man, this is really helpful

  • how doou get into the ice palace?

  • Swim to the island in the middle of Lake Hylia in the Light World, lift the stone there (requires the Titan's Mitt from Lv4), go through the Dark World portal under it, and you'll be right in front of the Ice Palace entrance.

  • this is good. I use to play all of those games and game recognizes game.

  • Damn man, your gameplay is flawless.

  • Thanks so much for uploading this; that part with pushing the block down the hole confused the hell out of me.

  • 1 thing I could never figure out on this level is how to move the block on the button without the red cane

  • Legend of Zelda is one the best gaming series ever

  • @TheSigmaNinja The best

  • Thanks man this is all good stuff. I beat this game about 6 years ago but its always good to bring back memories, btw have you played every zelda game?

  • I've played all of them and beaten all but Phantom Hourglass. PH annoyed me with having to go through that same temple over and over again so I lost interest after a while.

  • So you seem like an expert, it would be cool to see a video of how you think the zelda timeline goes. Most people that do those videos havent even played half of the zelda games.

  • PH was easy to beat.. and some levels where just plain frustrating! but.. as a series it was ok.. coulda been better.

  • The same temple over and over again? Are you talking about the Temple of the Ocean King? I've heard that you have to go through it six times. At the end of your final visit, you'll fight Bellum as an evil phantom. Try it.

  • You mean get out of the walls surrounding the entrance? Same way you got in. Warp back to the Light World with the Magic Mirror.

  • eres la mera mamada we!

  • This is the best game ever made

  • It is definitely one of the very best. A timeless classic.

  • I really love this game

  • i fucking hate the spike room!!!!

  • this is one of the best dungeons in the entire series

  • thank you for all your help i really appreciate it.

  • Ooh that's how you're SUPPOSED TO DO IT without cane of samaria

  • dude you have helpt me a lot with this video thanks

  • Why is Links hair pink?

  • wer spielt da eigendlich

  • i miss this game..

  • This dude is a fucking pro.

  • where did you get the tunic....?

  • how do you get in the palace?

  • Once you've gotten the Titan's Mitt from Level 4: Thieves' Town, swim out to the island in the middle of Lake Hylia in the Light World and lift the dark stone there to reveal a Dark World portal. It'll warp you right in front of the entrance to the Ice Palace.

  • thanks i didnt know where the smiths partner was

  • wow this is my fav game of all time and i thought i was pro at it you are really good man:)

  • Hi. I am trying to figure out how to pull the statues at the 7:39 mark, and I can not figure out why I am not able to. Link just struggles, and he can't pull them. Maybe you can help. I am also using SNES 9x.

  • I'm not sure what the problem is; I've never run into that before. You shouldn't need to do anything special to pull them, other than just removing the pots in the way.

The game might've glitched somehow, or your ROM might be corrupted a bit. If you're absolutely sure there's nothing else causing the problem, you could try saving and quitting and then reloading the ROM (using the in-game save files, not save states), or downloading a new copy of the ROM.

  • it could be a problem from a cheat that you used if you did. did you? because cheats help you in some ways and messes up your game in others but if you didn't use a cheat it's probably a glitch.

  • this is very impressive. perfect

  • Tienes un dominio perfecto x) woo que genial

  • I miss this game, this is the first game I ever played in my life, I remember it all. To bad I can't play it anymore.

  • This dungeon is such a biiiiiitch.....

At least I still beat it though lol. I just have the last dungeon left. =D

  • THANK YOU! I couldnt figure out how to get the block on the switch!

  • This is the first time I've seen someone snake back through the palace in order to drop that block at 6:35 into the hole. I used to always just beat the 6th palace then return here, because I never figured it out.

  • LOZ: Link to the Past----------------

One of THE best games ever made in my opinion.

  • I agree with you. This is my favorite game of all time.

  • Thanks, Desbreko! \0/

  • Can anybody teach me how can I get the strongest bomb and the strongest (red)shield please???

  • The super bomb becomes available to buy in the bomb shop south of the pyramid after you've beaten Level 6: Misery Mire, but its only use is to blow open the cracked wall in the pyramid. Other than that, you can upgrade the number of bombs you can carry by throwing rupees into the Pond of Happiness on the island in the center of Lake Hylia but their strength never increases.

  • To get a red shield, go to the Waterfall of Wishing in the far northeast corner of the Light World, just outside the entrance to Zora's Waterfall. Swim up into the waterfall, toss your shield into the pond inside, and the fairy there will upgrade it. (You can also upgrade the boomerang and get free green potions this way.)

The best shield in the game, though, is the Mirror Shield, which you get from the big chest in Level 7: Turtle Rock.

  • It just stinks that the Mirror shield is earned so late in the game.

  • Wow, dude, I was staring in amazement.

You play so well, and you make the palace seem easy.

I get stuck after the armour, but I'l try to get the two magic bars, the bomba, and the 16 hearts first.

  • wow i never knew does skully things wit the red bubbles could be killed

  • I'm stuck, I used up all my keys before I could get to the room with the blue/red orb in it. Could any help me? I'm almost sure I found all the small keys in the dungeon!
