Thanksgiving is in October all over Canada. Not just Quebec :D. She grew up in Canada so she must know.

I don't think Thanksgiving is a European holiday where she lives now, (I could be wrong), so she decided to do a special for her North American viewers. Since America's Thanksgiving is in November, and most viewers happen to be in America, I think that is why she decided to put it up now. :).

The shadow base is the set for the other eyeshadow colors you use. No base, no color theme. So, it is almost always essential.

I think that the base helps a lot because it makes your eyeshadow blend better, not fade and you wont get that dreaded crease later either. You can get it pretty cheap and it lasts for a long time :)

@mlakin1272 You can make your own primer/base by mixing liquid foundation with a white scentless lotion. It works the same way, trust me.

well, without a base, your eyeshadow doesnt last

or if you rub your eyes it smudges and comes off very easily

but with a base, it looks cleaner, and blends easier, and doesnt come off easily at all.

It's funny I had a Clinique consultant ask me if I had tried the warm palette yet :P when I worked for Clinique it was a sin against God to mention liking any other brand than Clinique. Iove my 120 palette :)

It wasn't disguised at all. When I watched the video, the one thing that really stood out was the over-use of that one word. You probably watch your videos and hear the way you speak and that is why your speech has improved. So now you have one more thing to think about. I often encourage people to not write the way they speak because people usually don't speak correctly (according to the English language). I've worked to cut certain words and phrases out of my speech.

Pretty colors for brunettes! Now don't everyone get their panties in a wrinkle but I'd like to know from Julia if she ever does her eye makeup without eyeliner. I'd like to see that done.
