  • The Buddist faith is a kind and loving but strict faith. I have a lot of respect for it!

  • This video is outstanding. When I watch it , I realize how beautiful and special and fragile is our planet Earth. How could we transform such beautiful planet in a world of money , wars , sex , corruption , pollution , dirt and sh..t ???

  • @MrAndersohn I have been saying the same thing for YEARS!!! Mankind is so vain in it's thinking that we can treat our planet the way we do and NOT look forward to a total ecological colapse! The government turned their noses up at Green Peace in the 70s, but, SADLY they were RIGHT!! We are systematically destroying our planet and it makes me very sad for my decendents!

  • This is the most beautiful chanting AND video I have ever seen. Thank you so much!

  • This is absolutely HEAVENLY. I Love it. Thank you so much. it's perfect.

  • Thanks for posting this...I watch it everyday now. I am currently an non-practicing Christian considering the conversion to Buddhism...the more I see and hear of the Buddhist faith, the more it draws me closer.

  • amazing video, it never gets old to me. sounds brand new everyday

Amitofo.

  • Beautiful. I saw a fish mouth, an eye & few other animal shapes in the mountainside while watching this. Absolutely beautiful. Namaste (^_^)

  • Our Planet Is So Beautiful

  • have a great day

  • I'm afraid that, the footage here shows the "paradise lost"

  • Hi, can anyone knowledgeable provide english transliteration and it's meaning please?

  • I love this video..so peaceful

  • thank you with love

  • WE humans don't appreciate life..look how beautiful nature is, peace to all :)

  • Beautiful ...wow i'm amazed

  • a soultion to the worlds violence ? fine everybody become buddhist :)

  • Awesome music and chanting - can take one into trance

  • Do they chant it also in Nichiren Shu?

  • I am half Japanese and my grandmother used to take and my sister to church on Sundays when I was little. This sounds a lot like what I remember. I didn't appreciate it at the time but listening to it now is very peaceful.

  • how can people be hating on other people after listening to this, its top 5 things iver heard ever

  • i like how budda appears by the earth at the end of the video...i could easily listen to this for hours.

  • Beautiful

  • if you have the chant without the background music, please upload it. thanks

  • whats with the background music.. it distracts the chanting

  • I am atheist..

.yet I appreciate Buddhism for the humanist angle

...I take muay thai and can't wait to visit the thai Buddhist temple in my area. This video is wonderful, I watch it whenever I can.

  • ...greatness.......

  • I wish there wasn't any music in these chants. I like just hearing the males vocals.

  • The Japanese are good at this.

  • Great video thanks for posting!

  • I'd like to learn that, anyone can help please?

  • flow like water, as bruce lee simply put it.

  • Fantastic, i love it. Deep resonating meditative chanting and beautiful scenery to go with it. Harmonious. Great for the mind and helps with ones thoughts.

  • les chants et les images sont magnifiques ♥♥

  • People spend too much time expecting deeds and abilities to indicate truth. Bhudism, especially the non religious forms of it (Shaolin Tamo for example), are perhaps the most scientifically valid spiritual philosophies in existence which matches up almost perfectly with what is observed in the scientific world - specifically quantum mechanics, string theory and it's components... the idea that reality is consciousness, and illusory... These are very bhudist ideas!

  • ສາທຸ ສາທຸ ສາທຸ

  • es triste saber que los rincones mas hermosos del planeta son aquellos que no han sido tocados por el hombre

  • I hope one day to travel to Japan, or even Tibet, and stay with a monastery for awhile. Until then, I will continue to meditate to this and other Buddhist chants I've found.

It's the one thing that seems to bring me inner peace, if only for a short time.

  • hommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • I just got into a verbal arguement with a friend. I have no true buddhist teacher here it is so sullen in my town. This is the only thing that calms me when I am angry besides music. I wish I had a zen teacher I feel so lost without buddhism...

  • @gaijin4ETERNITY You are not without buddhism, look within yourself, it is there.

  • where is that red desert with the sun on the horizon?

  • absolutely wonderful. Om mani padme hum

  • @GlowingLightstar there may be some rooted emotions that you have not dealt with and this chant could have struck a chord and the emotions wished to be releashed. Your body is simply saying that it does not need these feelings and you can let them go. Be at peace and do not fight the feelings embrace them as your own and when they are ready they will leave. Namaste.

  • I find this relaxing to listen to, despite the fact that I am not religious. Thank you for posting this video and providing such a detailed description!

  • What has this world come to? When people can sit behind their computer screen and compare the soothing ancient meoldy to new generation pop star Justin Bieber... May God be with us all.

  • I think Justin Bieber beats this anyday! =D

  • @fezzernator i think beating is a term used for violence and competition that cannot be applied to buddhism. while he may try to gain notoriety for being a singer he has yet to even begin to understand the true world and true art that belongs in a world that most are blind to including justin.

  • Whilst not particularly religious or spiritual (I like to keep an open mind), I am a thorough purveyor of escapism and imagination, and feel an innate affinity with Buddhism due to the imagery it creates for me. When listening to this I think of Japanese sohei in meditation, of cold misty mornings and ancient temples, the dawn of a new day.

  • @captainwungf OPEN MIND???? Do you believe being bisexual or transexual is openminded. Do you believe that eating with the mouth open is being open minded. Do you believe not having any standards is being open minded? Do you believe that allowing satanists like Obama, Bush and Edomond Dantes run your planet is being open minded? Do you believe that all servants of hedonism are open minded? Do you believe that agnosticism is a more open minded stance than atheism? MInd candy mmmmm

  • @augustmaquet I refuse to answer any of your questions, as I sense a bait for a debate that essentially comes down to personal beliefs. Everyone has their own standpoints, and isn't obliged to explain themselves to anyone, especially when voiced in such a confrontational (read rude) manner. My original point was regarding the imagery I took from this video, and that's where I'll leave it.

  • @augustmaquet Yes.

  • Stunning! A wonderful clip that is doing the rounds on facebook atm amongst us zen buddhists :) Namaste <3

  • I really like this, im going to use parts of it in a japanese style hip hop track if thats alright with you

  • I highly recommend the film "The Man From Earth", it's about a man who's lived for 14000 years - it's an awful lot better than I make it sound too hehe. There's a message in the film, it's more than a shallow exploration of a novel idea as I'd expected it to be prior to watching it. For some reason listening to this music caused me to recall that film.

  • Words cannot describe the perfection of this video. This is true zen to me. Thank you for this video, it is a gift to all of us.

  • i feel in touch with my inner self.

  • Chillout, my brother and friend, thank you for your kindness in posting this wonderful video. I started to find myself falling asleep listening to it and the footage of the various animals is breathtaking. Especially that of the whale and that of the bald eagle. You have done a great kindness for many people with this. Thank you again.

  • I keep telling myself, I will let go later, I tell myself this is true, but is it? If I don't let go now when will I? When will I be what I want to be? When will that be me?

  • Does anyone have a translation of this chant in English? if so could you please post it here? many thanks.

  • need anyone cum?

  • peacefull

  • Thank you for this beautiful video. Un point, c'est tout.

  • watch this stoned(:

  • @dan3nad

I did, and I was stuck in happy tears. Just so glad to be here.

  • I may have missed it but what is the actual name of this song? I made a playlist of this one video over a year ago and I often listen to it while sleeping. This chanting has brought be a lot of peace. Thank you!

  • @OneAwesomeOpossum Lord Buddha was born in Nepal when Kirat was ruling. He came to kathmandu valley when 7th Kirati King was at the throne.

Hi i am Kirati, native of the Himalayas.

plz watch this video --> Kiratas:the Himalayas Race

to see the culture and kirati people.

    thank you.

  • Gratitude is the feeling I have when watching/listening to this chant.

When I read the comments, as a "born again," I wonder what the point of the scripture quoted by DreamsofMajesty? Is it in the spirit of humanity; or is it in the spirit of arrogance and a subtle, yet blatant judgement and criticism of Buddhism? Or, is it, as I grew up, that in the face of difference that you invoke the 'word of God' to rebuke the others who expressed gratitude, awe, and inspiration? No more of that here

  • it's very similar to Tibetan's chanting.. btw love the video! very peaceful.

  • John 14:6

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

  • @DreamsofMajesty then john was misquoted or wrote it wrong. be there heaven or hell if a god exists that send me there for not bowing to him is not a god but a petty man with a bad temper. love is love how we live our life is all that matters walk with love and peace in your heart and you shall find salvation that is the message of all religions the rest is dribble.

  • I like the chanting but the music ruins it. I just want the full chant.

  • wen i hear to these chants i kinda get connected to nature i feel free. Thank you friend for posting this Video.

  • I have to reminder everyone that Mikkyo is not created by Japanese. It is from India and spread in East Asia.

  • Thank you so much for uploading this, very beautiful.

  • Whatever the note, I needed some grounding. I was all spun up. .......

  • I have nothing to offer here. I would like to ask what is the note at 1:48. It makes me feel giggly. :D ~ Sincerely

  • 彼はみんな私にくれたが代わりに何も受け取らなかった。

    .

He gave me everything but took nothing in return.

  • Of course no religion can be fathomed without the teaching guide of an authentic teacher. Naturally that is the foundation for all clergy in order to maintain their strangle hold on the reptile mind. All religions are the same. The only thing that separates Buddhism from other religions is that Buddhism is the only religion that doesn't have a god. And that's a good thing, no god to die for, no god to kill for, no god to condemn you to an eternity of hell for disobedience.

  • The imagery is great but the chanting drives me crazy, guess I'm just not in the right reptile religious frame of mind. I am an atheist and have broken free of the reptile mind where ritualism and chants have a hypnotic influence on the weak seekers looking for supernatural that does not exist. Oh well. Transcendence in the rational mind is much more beautiful when one has understanding.

  • @Jesuspeake I am an atheist too and I found the chanting actually very nice:)

  • @daiitokumyouou899

Another atheist correspondent of mine, who gave me the link, said the same thing as you. But that's okay, it just didn't strike the same string in me but, I don't particularly like classical music either although I love Strauss music and a few opera melodies. I hate rap nut most of the young world, that's all they want to do, especially if they can't sing which I think is the secret behind the popularity of it's poetic style. Even if you can't carry a tune, you can rap lol

  • @Jesuspeake Rap is particularly popular among struggling groups, poor and oppressed people for example. The simplicity of the art form is exactly why it was developed; rap allows individuals to express themselves politically in an artistic fashion irregardless of innate talent. The mainstream rap one hears on basic radio is terrible and should not represent the art form at all.

  • @daiitokumyouou899 that is good!

  • My eyes welled while listening/watching this video.

Yes indeed, nothing but everything - Such is beauty.

  • aaahhhhhh

  • chillout108, thanks for posting these. I really enjoyed going through them and re-centering.

  • Things will get better sooner or later.

    They have to.

    What other way is there?

    Must concentrate on the positive.

  • Thank you for providing a video that is so supportive in these troubled times.

  • this is relaxing me 2 no end it feels good.......

  • surprised to see all the argument on religion in these comments. Not one part of this video is religious

  • must float like a leaf down the river of life.

  • most float like a leaf down river of life.

  • The mind is a very powerful tool. Our thoughts manifest our reality. Belief is a very powerful thing. If you believe it, then it is your reality. You are all right.

  • @mindwalk99 wise words, letting others know this knowledge without having learned for themself's is not wise. If your Zen is strong then let go.

  • Comment removed

  • Well well well. I leave a simple comment stating the fact that many Buddhists believe that chanting cures cancer, (i.e. they are deluded weirdos), and the Buddhists on this site react with anger and verbal abuse. What did mr Buddah say about accepting criticism and acknowledging facts? What did mr Buddha say about those who deliberatly ignore uncomplimentary evidence?

  • @C0C0nutFace I'm not a Buddhist and you're a lame hater that got served.

  • @C0C0nutFace There are groups of Buddhists that can sit in a cold room and be wrapped in a wet towel. In no time at all, steam rises from the towel and it's dry and they're warm. Science can't explain everything, and why do you care so much what other people do anyway? I'd rather believe in something than in nothing; believing in nothing takes far, far more faith than I have.

  • @SoulSoundMuisc That works because humans emit heat. And just because we don't know everything doesn't mean the things we don't know are explained by magical faires or whatever. Pretending to know everything is what morons do.

  • @SoulSoundMuisc Polite clarification: The grasp of scientific understanding: Go back 100 years and there is a heck of a lot that science can explain now that it couldn't then, today's unknown is tomorrow's known. Faith has its place though, in fact unless I'm wrong it was science that revealed to us that mind over matter really does work, it aids recovery and healing, something that has been practised for centuries, maybe millennia without scientific proof or understanding. :)

  • @SoulSoundMuisc how much faith does it take to not explain others about your believes, in an arguementive way. Meanwhile you are agreeing that it is a harder "job" to do the other, and by the meaning of "faith". Combined with modern science, then also the right "job"/choice to take? Do not take this offensive, this is just to try and make you question, if what you believe is truly the best for you. You should only come out wizer either way in the end (: And sorry for my poor english.

  • @SoulSoundMuisc i pity you then

  • @SoulSoundMuisc actually not to be rude, but science does explain that. thinking generates heat in the muscles...just like running. these Buddhists must have low body fat and have an extraordinary ability to bring thoughts that cause muscles to warm.

  • @SoulSoundMuisc does buddhism has gods?

  • @thisnameisawesomeful depends, the chinese buddhism sees Buddha as a god, they praise him and belive he has magical powers. While the Japaneese buddhism does not belive Buddha was a god, but rather a teacher, to them he was a normal but very wise man. so the japaneese buddhism does not belive in gods but the chineese does, but they both belive that everything in the universe is connected spiritual.

  • @Olivernasa thanks, i was wondering because im atheist at the moment but i was thinking of converting to buddhism cuz i heard that there is no gods, and i agree with that, but i like the idea of the connection with all living things and the universe, i think thats a really cool concept, and i totally agree with it

  • @thisnameisawesomeful yeah, alot of atheists belives in what we call "buddhism", because of the lack of a god. Most people see buddhism more as a philosophy than a religion, and a great philosophy it is... :)

  • @Olivernasa yea i know i really like the philosophy behind it, i think im gonna start practicing it thanks for all your help :D

  • @SoulSoundMuisc to say that one "believes" in nothing is, in truth, clouded of mind to the essence of the tao. to see the tao with clarity would embrace nothing/emptiness with an empty mind, free of beliefs or disbeliefs, expectations or attachments. belief in nothing does not require faith...belief in nothing requires nothing...

  • @SoulSoundMuisc Your words, the chants, the images and I "shout" a laugh from somewhere deep within my belly, then gut wrenching sob and am blessed over the joy of it all.

  • @C0C0nutFace dude i'm not buddhist, far from it. I think that believe in a personal god is a primative way to live. Buts thats just what i think. I'll be kind and break buddhists down for you. They do not care about you. They do not care about your idea's. They are following their own path. They have let go of life as you understand it. Its that simple. If at first you don't fully get what i mean please take a day to think about it.

  • @TheUnwantedRebirth All I did was leave a comment saying that I think Buddhists are weird because they reckon chanting cures cancer. I could have gone a step further and said that I think they're wanker$ because they reckon disabled babies deserve to be disabled because they are being punished for what they did in a 'past life' - but, hey, let them push humanity backwards because mentioning their faults is the worst taboo ever.

  • @C0C0nutFace have you tried chanting?

  • Comment removed

  • @C0C0nutFace yes, because western civilization's religion's and beliefs, are not flauwed in any ways. Even Gandhi have spoken against abortion. Most western country's both reckognize Gandhi having great wizdom, and yet they allow abort. its about finding a mix, not saying i cant learn from somebody, because they eat theyr chocolate cake in a weird way. ( Since its not a matter of the "level" of evil, but more the intentions behind it, when dealing with religios subjects, that u have to look at)

  • there is no answer, only your version of truth.

  • Buddhists reckon that chanting cures cancer and stuff. What a bunch of frickin wierdos - stay well clear of them folks.

  • @C0C0nutFace not so weird, as there is millions of people that think a magic man in the clouds is watching their every move. Sounds mentally ill to me, but they are walking around free, trying to make others believe that shit also. Now thats weird. Why have we not killed them all already?

  • @TheUnwantedRebirth Believing chanting cures cancer sounds more mentally ill too. It's also more damaging because some poor deluded bastards rely on chanting rather than seeing medical professionals. You guys are walking around trying to get others to believe in your deluded shit too...this video and its comments show this. You religious weirdos are all the same.

  • @C0C0nutFace At what point does a person get so bored that they log on to youtube and find a meditation to disagree with? You just made my day, just so you know :D

  • @Thunderspuds91 i was brushing my teeth and chilling while listening to this.. Now i have to focus on cleaning my screen instead.. :P lmao

  • @C0C0nutFace

     You got served !D

  • @C0C0nutFace The whole reason they dont decide to go to doctors is because they let go of mortal life. They have no connections to this world, or its idiotic material views. They arent scared of death because they dont see life as something that needs to be saved, it only needs to be lived. They are enlightened, unlike most of the world. Try seeing The Light sometime, you seem very far pushed into The Dark.

  • Comment removed

  • @C0C0nutFace why are you on a Buddhist chanting video trolling? really thats extremely childish and immature, im sure you have better things to do with your time.

  • skull in the rock...bottom left 6:00

  • It's calming. I like the posting of Chillout108. I searched for this in Pandora but did not find it. Is this available in CD?

  • @Iceblue102

I just created a Pandora channel by typing in "Buddhist chant monks" or some such, in fact all I typed was "Buddhist chant," and it filled in the rest. Just something to try.
