@rdoble - you need to read more mate , for every scot victory there have been 2 english victories , within 20 years englands finest victory @ dupplin muir and the understanding of how to use longbowmen happened - Robert the bruce was a inspired leader who forced a inedequate edward the 2nd to fight his battle . I admire the scottish fighting spirit but dont foget it takes 2 to tango and the english spirit is just as brave
Not much mention o The good sir james aka the black douglas of his defending scotland while his grace and his brother and soon too b king o ireland went too ireland too help them be free , Douglas gained teh name of his ffather for slaying so many english raidres and moving groups and armies" .
And his brothers who all died were , nigel , tom then alex" by that bastard longshanks" then his father passed on" then later his other more firey tempered and one of scotlands best and hardest fighting knights edward when he died in ireland|" as always he was at the point or apex of the charge and very likely in his brother roberts favourite formation " the wedge" qoute " bruces wedge"!
anyway edward died quickly and teh irish foot turned and ran" while the scots fought on too theyre death"
Also when his grace retreated too the ilses there was no mention lady Christina o the ilses who helped him to ohold out for a while and supplied men and ships"
ALong wi lord angus og" o the ilses l8r on as well , they did miss quite a lot of this about his grace but theyd need a lot more than an hour toO do so"!
Aye, Angus Og and Lady Christina were crucial to the Bruce`s effort. In particular Lady Christina. :-) Far as keeping the Kings spirits up at least. Angus Og was a stalwart ally and generally good bloke and friend of Robert. But he did not call him his king. Angus was his own Prince of the isles and a great help he was.

Aye, piece of work was the 2nd.
Pride but no courage when Bruce

This is beautifully filmed. It's just fun to watch, even if you don't like history. Thanks for posting it.
