Modonna is not the queen of pop. Just has sold over 100 million, and Janet actually came out before Modonna. Modonna is the princess of pop, janet is the QUEEN of pop ! She deserves it, she has inspired soo much people, she is like the best live performer ever. She just deserves the title, especially as Mike has the title the KING of pop, its just right that Jane is THE QUEEN OF POP. :)

I will still say Madonna is the queen of pop however not based on ur categories but based on the fact that she has more fans (i believe) worldwide & is honestly held in higher regard.

madonna and janet came out the same year....1982......madonna was more successful in the beginning in her career than janet.......janet released 2 albums as a teenager that did not do that well.....until Control in 1986.....

my opinion on this that Madonna is the Queen of Pop, Britney is the Princess of Pop(with no doubt) i honstely think Janet is the Princess of Pop also. I think Beyonce is Princess of R&B. MJ is the one & only King of Pop. I loved the Janet interview, she looks so beautiful! :)

Its hard because white vs black. Is not seen as the same. While it should be. I think in the white category, it seen as Mariah QUEEN of R&B Madonna QUEEN of Pop Britney Princess hands down of Pop Christina would be dutchess Lady Gag Court Jester she is NOWHERE near Brits level or Christinas. Black Janet QUEEN of Pop Whitney Houston QUEEN of R&B Beyonce Princess of R&B/Pop Bey has been out longer then Britney, and they are the same age. But Brit sold way more albums.

If wwe go by charts. I'll be 100% honest. Mariah is the queen of pop charts, Janet is the queen of R&B charts, and Madonna is the Queen of Dance charts. Janet is 5 #1's away from having the most R&B #1's of all time. Mariah is 3 #1's away from having the most #1 pop singles of all time. And Madonna has the most Dance chart #1's of all time. BUT if you go by breaking records, awards, and lifetime achievement and having the strongest image= Janet comes out the strongest and the best, dispite sells

Sorry but Britney Spears is not a diva imo: she doesn´t has class or talent or originality or really nothing that can be compared with a diva: Whitney, Madonna, Mariah.... I think she is very lucky for being still there after 10 years without doing nothing more than put her image!!

That was a great interview. I was 14 when I first saw Janet on the Velvet Rope tour & i've loved her ever since.
