@MrHeadsocket This is probably caused by a slight misadjustment of the contact wiper controlling the red and green light. If the loco runs a little bit faster, the light will be green.
The cab light normally is green during run and red during stop. There seems to be a slight misadjustment of the contact wiper causing this loco to run with red light at slow speed. I don´t care...
As far as I know the livery of the prototype is only correct for the loco with the skirts. Without skirts it should be different, but I don´t care. Get your steamers repaired and have fun with it! Thanks for watching.
All the other videos of live steam I saw the train jumps forward, then runs too fast.

This might sound a silly question but I thought they did this in BR condition with the skirts removed anyway.

Yes, correct. Live steam A4 is available without skirts in BR-green an war black.

@houtokur8
One the train is well run in (over 10hrs actual running time) you can do this easily.

I agree, it does look very good - even if it is a fictional modification.
Nice one.

Looking good!! Prototypical or not, who cares? You've made a fantastic job of it!!

Very VERY nice. I for one think it looks better without the skirts. Did the prototype run in that livery?
You've really motivated me to get my 3 (yes 3) live steamers repaired/serviced and running in that huge empty building at work!
Watch this space.
