  • Love this number! The best number from the world's worst Best Musical Tony winner. It's a shame that a show with canned, pre-recorded music won the Tony for "Best Musical." I do enjoy this dance, though, that's for sure.

  • @Scott3843 I love it it has everything and deserved that tony totally original

  • @AdamEfimoff Well, to each his own, but "totally original" in the Best Musical category should, in my little old humble opinion, actually have some original music, not previously written, recorded & replacing live musicians. Sure, it is ABSOLUTELY original in its concept and Susan Stroman is undoubtedly a genius in musical staging and choreography. Give her a Tony or three, and as well as the performers who won, but to call this an original musical is iffy. It's a well-conceived dance concert.

  • I'm crazy about this number ! Does anyone know I can acquire a large CONTACT poster? I love the way this piece explodes into view like fireworks on a hot July night. How about a contest: "Win a Date with the Girl in the Yellow Dress."

  • The girl in the yellow dress is a living doll. What a beauty ! And dance at it's very best:; an explosion of fun and creativity. "Celebrate good times, come on !"

  • It is a masterpiece of direction , storytelling and costume and scenic design . Anything from the LCT is. The dancing tells a story and that is what some dancers who want to do direct should take note.

  • simply great....who ever choreographed this dance sequence understands the attraction of the female form/grace/beauty to the male and vice versa. Sensual/sexy/simply irresistible.

  • any ideas if you can get this on dvd??

I loved the dance sequences in this musical

  • PM me

  • @petitpois2007 --- nope -- not avail on DVD. Very few if any of the "Live from Lincoln Center" programs ever see the light of day on home video. Faithful fans of the series have learned to tape them at home. Great show, too. I saw this production of "Contact" with the original cast back in 2000. Christopher and Dana Reeve sat on my row.
