all you usually ever need is to use a can of brake or carb cleaner with the straw, take the carb apart and spray it on everything inside the carb, paying special attention to the open up every tiny hole everywhere which routes the gas from start to finish points. pay attention to everytihng you take apart
If the carb is old the gaskets and float pin parts will not seat properly, so you a complete rebuild is usually a better idea. It's a pain but felt paper and foam don't last forever.

i'm rebuilding my lawnmower right now after ten years of use, it is a lot of work but kind of interesting. Cleaning and painting most of the deck and frame and rebuilding some parts of the engine, not sure if i should rebuild the carb
Well number one Don't ever use gasket sealent around anything with moving parts suction the sealent breaks doun and it clogs the carb also if you dont hook it up how are people to know if you did it right or not?
oh the sponge in the tank most newer models have this old ones run without it so should new ones the onlyy thing youll have to worry about is your gas milage beacause the sponge soaks up gas and when you run out the sponge will allow the engine to run on fumes for a long period
How much is a new carb I have a craftsman six and .25 horsepower B&S engine. I will try a kit then if it sucks then replace the dang thing. Only works when we hold our hand over the enterance hole and filter is off. Any idea's.
The clicking is annoying, but the camerawork (or lack thereof) makes this video nearly useless. If the volume were turned down as you suggest, there would be no way at all to tell what's going on. Even if your camera stand didn't point in a convienient direction, you could've held the parts up in front of it at the focal point, and then it would be easier to see what you're doing. The information you have to present makes the lose of the views worth the remake of the video.
i knww that noise is pretty dam annoyying my camera is broken but i gotta new one now if i remake the video i lose my views and you dont really need to listen to me just watch what i do

My fuel tank cap has deteriated float sponge material, so I removed it all. Will that affect running the engine?

I think that clicking is woodpeckers. Maybe you could build something to keep them away while filming
