Wonderful video from a very enjoyable film. Any chance you could put on the clips of the songs My Home Town is a One Horse Town and Just One Girl? And thanks so much for this clip.
@CarlDuke I am working on making 2 vids at the moment (one for each movie) & I'm putting all the songs in them. I'll send you a link when I post them.
These are more fun than the usual lyrics sung by a poverty-stricken couple: "Even if we, owe the grocer, ain't we got fun? Tax collector gettin closer, still we have fun." We used to have an old 78 of Doris Day and Danny Thomas doing this duet--or at least that's who I thought it was. I'm not finding it on YouTube, though. The tune was so catchy for us kids to dance and sing along.
@mattiescottage wow youmust be up tere....how kewl is that we usedto sing this when I as in jr high and by the light of the silvery moon, also from this show may be the next scene
@ceebeemp - You wrote "wow youmust be up tere" -- Do you mean "up there" in years of age? Ha-ha! Depends on your point of view. Record players usually came with 78rpm settings (as well as 45 and 33-1/3) through the mid-1980's, and since we didn't have Internet and were just before affordable video players, we kids would play whatever we could get our hands on that interested us, including old dusty 78's. I don't think many of our friends had many 78's laying around by then. We were odd!
@rturnerful - Yes, singing seems most fun when it involves sharing joy in an everyday moment. It's long been my dream to have someone and dance with around the house like this--particularly while simultaneously accomplishing household chores!
Don't let anybody tell you that they didn't know how to make cheerful, fun music in 1921. This old tune by Richard A. Whiting never fails to get me perking regardless of what kind of a mood I'm in.
so bouncy :)

Warners was doing its darndest to replicate M-G-M's "Meet Me in St. Louis" without benefit of Vincent Minnelli.
