THIS MOTHERS HAVE NO ONE TO BLAME BUT THEMSELVES. THEY ARE VERY SELFISH. I WOULD NEVER SEND MY CHILD OUT TO BE EATEN ALIVE BY THE SEA FOR A BETTER LIFE FOR MYSELF. HOW SELFISH. AND WORSE STILL IF THEY REACH EUROPE WHAT THEY HAVE TO PERSEVERE WITH THE RACIST EUROPEANS, I'M SURE GOD TOOK THEIR LIVES AS A FAVOR. BETTER THE SEA THAN THE EUROPEANS. GOD REST THEIR SOULS!!!!!
why are nt u sitting on chairs when they are right behind you? Look at the poor goats. They are locked in a 2 square feet cage, I can also see an abundance of fish, what do you want in Europe? Sarkozy coming to your home and serving coffee and cake?
Some black dude told me civilization came out of africa, But how come you are wretched and poor and we are not? How do you explain that? Hey, not us but the monarchs took things from you whilst we had to work in factories, 14 hours a day
what payback? Has anything been stolen from you? You never had a damn thing, Before europeans came to Africa, you lived in villages. Straw huts, And any damn black chief could kill you if he pleased to do so, We changed all that, What did the Africans do besides sending scammers and baby factories to europe the last 50 years. We have to freeze social security for illegals and the problems are over, No more free rides no more free whatever, Australia put a moratorium on immigration of africans,
@juniorborbo then who is to blame? who is responsible for the population explosion if not africans, why do u make babies if you dont hve any money to feed them?
@lunafringe10 do you know that european stolen everythings afrikan had. what were european doing in afrika during colonial time. it is time for pay back.. remember man. or you haven't checked your history properly
@juniorborbo you cant say "europeans took your things". You have to stipulate, You have to say it was a few rich slave merchants, And monarchy, But the common european lived in modest conditions, Dont blame us, blame the kings, Get the Queen and the belgian monarch to repay you, Not us, I wasnt even alive then, Or go to the US, You picked their cottonwool, not ours,
@juniorborbo Ruwanda is part of your history, Bokassa, Idi Amin, And dictatorship, corruption and disregard of human rights is your legacy, Which african leaders have left to its people, Not us europeans,
For how long are we going to be complaining about what we can change if every one of us is voting at the AU level to decide by the ballot box who the next AU Commission chairperson should be? The problem we are facing is all about lack of Unity. Africa is not poor but due to disunity we are suffering. As long as we are not voting at the AU, who will be combining our common power to save us all? Let all vote overty out of Africa now!
A small lesson in IMF and World Bank policies in Africa and perhaps a visit to see how wonderful the place is would be helpful to understand. No one really wants to leave Senegal for any reason other than economics.
I was skeptical and found it hard to believe too...until I went and looked it up myself. But most people are averse to education, and thus languish in education. It's your call.
Yes- im definatley NOt one of those people that dont know where Senegal IS in the first place. I know plenty about world affairs, military history and all that crap. Since you gave me that long list of everything we fucked up, it still seems clear that you blame it MOSTLY on the US, I dont see the list of what Mugabe messed up in Mozambique. OIf course we have supported the wrong guys, but not MOST of the time, US involvemnt doesnt mean BAD. please keep that in mind
Thirdly, I am NOT one of those people that blame everything on the US. The reason it seems that way to you is because of the enormity of the list I gave you. Had you actually gone and educated yourself on the incomplete list of countries I gave, you would see that in fact the US has openly admitted involvement in some way or other (through declassfied docs, etc).
Firstly, it doesnt matter who is better (Shah vs. Ayatollah). It's the people of a country that make a choice, and foreign interests shouldn't be imposing their will. Secondly, it was BECAUSE of such interference in keeping the Shah in his dictatorial place that people got pushed to extermism and the likes of Ayatollah are seen.
Yes they should, please tell me why we shouldnt be changing the health care in Africa ( imposing our intrests of less ppl dieing) and letting all those people live rotten old fashioned lives where the girls get married at 12, sounbd fun to you? Well it isnt to them, and liberals like you support it in the name of mis-placed culturalism! Western IS better, why take that away from certain humans?
To the arguers: Look, I'm Canadian, and am totally against terrorism. But I've realized that it cannot hurt those with thinking, critical minds to listen to information, and judge accordingly on a case-by-case basis. This is why AJ-ENG earns a place within the news media.
It's heartbreaking when life is so hard at home that folks feel a need to leave, and risk so much. The people in this newspiece are normal people just like you and I ... in between a rock & a hard place. Thanks again for making me aware. :)
If I may post solely in regards to this news clip about the poor folks in Senegal, thank you to Al Jazeera English for a relevant and touching newspiece. The coffee jar the women used for their lottery is the same brand I drink ... (continued in second comment)
Just out of interest, have you actually been to any developing African countries? Because by and large what I saw was home grown corrupt bastards ruining everything and blaming the West.
I find it very hard to even begin to believe this stuff isnt completely anti US. They gotta realize we arent the evil guys, thier pitiful corrupt 2 bit rulers are, for how bad Bush is, at least he isnt assasinating people to stay in power. something that cant be said for Mali or those countries
Dude, US corporate and gov interests is what keep these oppressive regimes in power, at times even when the popular elected government is something completely different. .
If it wasn't for US leaders like Bush and the aid money they give to support existing regimes (which repress opponents), the ME regimes, African regimes, etc., would have been established by the choice of the people a looong time ago.
To be fair, the political situation in Africa and the ME is not solely due to US protection of its own interests. It also has to do with former colonial powers maintaining their own interests as well.
Read up on Algeria and what happened to their elected government. Basically, look at what's happening to governments that get elected that have the people's interest at heart but are counter to the interests of foreign more powerful nations.
Yea, we were right get over it man Shah was better than Ayatollah right???/ Of course he was, almost anyone could be and for Nicarauga, now tell me what that has to do withy ANYTHING that happens today!!!! Those fuckinbg people start revolutions like we celebrate American idol, once for every damn year

Another bleeding heart story,
Do you see doc's on American Indian's whining about loosing America to the whites?
So.. Get over it, and stop coverting their neighbor's across the Med.
If the producers of this vid gave a fu*k, should'a tossed the natives a lifetime supple of birth control :)
