Thirdly, I am NOT one of those people that blame everything on the US. The reason it seems that way to you is because of the enormity of the list I gave you. Had you actually gone and educated yourself on the incomplete list of countries I gave, you would see that in fact the US has openly admitted involvement in some way or other (through declassfied docs, etc).

Firstly, it doesnt matter who is better (Shah vs. Ayatollah). It's the people of a country that make a choice, and foreign interests shouldn't be imposing their will. Secondly, it was BECAUSE of such interference in keeping the Shah in his dictatorial place that people got pushed to extermism and the likes of Ayatollah are seen.

To be fair, the political situation in Africa and the ME is not solely due to US protection of its own interests. It also has to do with former colonial powers maintaining their own interests as well.
