I would hardly call them a Christian band. References are, at best subtle, and up the the listener to interpret. They are certainly not an outwardly leaning Christian Rock band. So in that regard, I would say they are maybe a REAL Christian band. Christian Rock as a genre sucks. Most of it is death metal garbage with Jesus freak lyrics.
