I've got an 80 pound female malinois who I would never choose to be a working dog. As good as these dogs are at working and protecting, try keeping them as a pet. You'll lose your mind. They are by far the best dog in the world. Side note: Don't ever ever kick a Malinois. You'll lose every time.
@VidsMusicLove007 i read everywhere that this kind of dogs need the "work" (they do not consider it as work, its fun for them) and they r unhappy, if they r not trained or if they can not work...because they character...they character want attention and that u r non stop "working" with them..... if u want a dog only for a walk and stuff like that, and seldom work or not work at all, than this kind of dog is the wrong choose ...
my concern is at the end when he takes the sleeve off, the dog plays with it, instead of knowing to go back after him (NOT saying he should have bit him unprotected), but what happens when an assailant takes their coat off? He will just bite the coat and not the person, and this is the problem with training with body suits.
Love the Malinois! My only concern is if they really had to protect your loved ones from a really powerful dude (the guy in this video is small) how will they do? The only reason why I have preferred the heavier GSDs. Don't need them as big as Neapolitan Mastiffs, but would like a Schutzhund quality dog with some weight.
They will do good against a big powerful dude that's why the israeli forces use these dogs to fight terrorism and the police use them to these dogs run alot faster then the gsds and they can also lock and hold on somebody.
yeah, i decoyed a little and as a 180 lb 6' thai boxer can assure you that even a small malinois is very powerful. a k9 handler in a prison told me that huge felons occasionally challenge their dogs-but only once. you really don't want to be on the recieving end.
JLeaf311, you have no idea, these dogs are smart enough to negotiate any situation. If you ever get the pleasure of working with one, you can see them thinking about a situation as they try to manipulate it. My Malinois is smarter than many people I know.
i have never worked with malinois but surely shepherds and can confidently say they are extremely intelligent. but i must say.....i have not heard about the malinois being used for so many different activities as the GSD.
My dog is an actual german shephard, we didnt teach him anything about attacking or anything, one day he went to this police place with my mom (shes a police officer) and watched the other dogs do the attack thing. The first time he was up he did the attack manuver just like that, without any prior training!
What i'm trying to say is that german shephards are very very intelligent dogs, and the one in this video is pure awesomeness
ha im not gonna lie german shephards can be trained as vicious attack dogs but if you really want an attack dog either go for pitbull,rotweiler or the best one dobermans there fucking insane
I think the decoy is new in this, he is scared from the dog.

They actually have larger mali. I've seen 70-80lbs females 75-100 lbs males.
