Some of my earliest memories of rock 'n roll was of this band. Remember cycling past a house on my Raleigh two wheeler, the windows were open and this record was blaring out. I was ten at the time. I was hooked.
@equestrianstatue Wow! I have the exact same memory! Except the song in my experience was (the R&R Version of) "In The Mood". Another great instrumental. I've been hooked on instrumentals ever since. This song was out about the same time and I was lovin' on it too.
@overbrookXXX That's obvious,Like Chuck B. all these 5T's dudes went on the road by themselves, and took local musicians for the ride. That's understandable for monetary reasons.
It's time Johnny & the Hurricanes got some overdue recognition;their brilliant instrumentals influenced bands like early Roxy Music,Bowie. Springsteen's E-Street band, and whoever else. Timeless sounds.
And, they are instrument-miming instead of really playing. How lame is this?

@djmoore20041 Yes, they are instrument miming - very disappointing.

Johnny Paris was living in Germany for some years 10 years ago or so. Don´t know what happened to him since.
