Nice collection to me devastator is the one and only in my book. 1) all the parts are the same size 2) they didn't just throw some goofy autobot bad guy to fight him 3) the only combiner that was featured in the original transformer movie "did you see what he did to the Dino bots"

Awesome collection. I only own Devastator, Bruticus, and Superion in their original, mint G1 form. Just wondering, why do you have Superion (always been my personal favorite) combined the way you do? Legs are on backwards, and he just looks better when he is interchanged the way you see him on the box, and in the cartoon. Mainly because Slingshot is too skinny to ever be used as a leg.

Got KO Defensor, Energon Superion, G1 Abominus, Re-issued Predaking & Ruination who was basically Briticus! Now I'm trying to get the entire collection of G1 Computron then i'm trying to make a choice between Re-issued Seacons or KO Devastator which one should I get first? We shal see! Great minds think alike. Computron and Predaking are my favorite from each fraction. Been on a combiner team kick lately and managed to get most of those:

Favourite Autobot combiner is Computron, he looks really good, have had him since 1987-88. He needs some serious cleaning up though. Both Scattershot and Strafe have yellowed and Lightspeed's head is glued. Decepticon wise i'm going Devastator all the way.

I only have the decepticons gesaults. I'm only missing Menasor and the fists and feet for Abominus. Computron would probably be my fave Autobot and Bruticus, Decepticon. Computron is a thinking bots gesault and Bruticus was my first gesault.

Off all these Gestaults, could you show them in size order? Predaking looks most massive, but it looks like either Superion or Abominus may be the tallest and Defensor the shortest.

The best.... hands down, Devastator. The original combiner, it's sheer popularity gave rise to the continuing release of more and more combiners. I remember the christmas when Devastator just came out, my step brother got him as a gift, and we were all in pure Transformers bliss.

The best gestalt?

Devastator, naturally. The one original one. The one that's going to be in the upcoming live action movie sequal.

But I have to give credit to Predaking too. I'd dare say the Predacons had some impact on future TF series, since they inspired a TF faction named after them.

Bruticus also is notable since versions of him popped up multiple times.

I'm also personally partial to Menasor (the first one I owned), Computron and Piranhacon, but hey I like them all.

My fave's were a toss up between Devastator and Bruticus... largely because I owned both of them and had fond memories to go with it. Devastator was probably the best because he was truly unique... all the others stuck with that torso/leader + four limbs formula. But Bruticus' team were very cool looking in robot & vehicle mode, and had a great color scheme too. Pretty cool looking in the combiner mode as well. : )

For the sheer look, and complexity of design - and the fact he is unique as the first ever combining toy...it has to be...DEVASTATOR! I like how all the component MUST be used in the same place, and the individual toys can 'stand alone'. What I mean is, if you only had one, you wouldn't tell that it's part of a combiner, with all the others, you can tell.

I never understood why they never made another Autobot team. Only 3 Autobots But 6 Decepticons? Strange.

Favourite Autobot combiner is Computron (own him but los of yellowing and Lightspeed's head broke).

Nah mate, I have seen the Classics version in town, and whilst some of them look cool, I am only really a G1 collector.

As for the 30% Autobots Vs. 70% Decepticon Geaults, I have no explination.

That's just how Hasbro released them.
