  • can you post a link so i can get this on my ipod?

  • Man.....just imagine if all these great artists shown in this video made an album, no, just one track together.......Damn. I can't even imagine how extremely amazing that would be.

  • Brilliant video. Fantastic music. Very touching indeed.

  • Excellent tribute. Beautiful music, very thoughtful lyrics. Thank you for expressing our sentiments.

  • Damn good song.

  • dimebag!

  • Brilliant

  • Sounds really good.

  • "loved by millions, who he never knew." brilliant, man.

  • Great song, and awesome tribute! 5 stars!

  • Great song, man. Great tribute.

  • Is beautiful...I love the song and the video. And reminds me what is a real fan, a singer and a musician...just to maintain alive what all this big musicians started. Thanks again.

  • To sad for me to watch the whole thing.

  • It's very sad.

  • What's up with the fake British accent. All that "r" rolling is so goofy.

  • "what kind of place is this!!!"--patrick star

  • dang i was gonna get it on my ipod

  • send your email in a message and I'll send you an mp3

  • whos the band that sings it???

  • I wrote the song and played all the instruments, except for the killer saxophone by Jerry Peterson of Billy and the Beaters.

  • f*** you mauros

  • great song!! LOve it!

  • your an idiot

  • ** blue siberia ** the coolest kaleidoscope. youtube it.

  • nice man - you got some chops. This vids better than 98% of every other tribute / crappily done cover I see posted on youtube.

  • Thanks! By the way, I challenge any guitarist to figure out how I played the intro. (hint: capo 7th fret. hint#2 : That's the easy part. hint #3: look veerry closely at the video.)

  • Well it look like you're missing you're A and D stings to start haha

  • Actually, you're on the right track. But no strings are missing.

  • oooh did you switch the places of the B and A strings?

  • You got it. If you do any kind of fingerpicking, a lot of interesting things result. A capo makes it even more interesting.

  • Randy Rhoads re: don't buzz the tour bus, so, wisely, ignored

  • some people seem to just be asking that their recognition be post-humous.

  • I don't care for the inclusion of Curt Cobain in among the REAL legends...IMO Curt Cobain has no right to be in amongst such distinguished company. He was just a dirty grunge rocker who killed himself and inspired a bunch of angsty teens to wear ripped flannels Doc Martens and reek of Patchouli.

  • Well apparently THIS guitarist likes Kurt and the rest of these rockers.

    It's his song.

And this song is for who rocks to HIM!

  • I didn't necessarily include my favorites -- just the ones who had a profound effect on people. Whether that effect was good or not, well...

Remember in the 50s, rednecks would come on TV preaching that the negro demon music called rock-and-roll would lead our youth into drugs, sex, and moral destitution.

    they were right of course...

  • Its called respect.I didnt like him either but he single handed changed thousands to a new genre' of music. He was a brilliant song writer as well as a performer. He didnt kill himself,it was that dirty bitch so called wife of his.

  • exactly, Jim Jimi and Janis are the true legends,Kurt was just a copycat....KURT COBAIN WAS EMO!!!

  • Genius. They would be so honored. And yes, we will carry on...with the music in our hearts.

    Nirvana forever!

  • it doesn't matter if you die, the only thing it matters is what you leave behind

  • That was deep and well said!

  • this was beautiful thanks scott!!

  • I like the video, but I too am wondering where Randy Rhoads and Darrell Abbott were.

They were youung, and Randy, especially, was on his way to, I believe, creating a new "style" of Rock and Roll before tragedy stopped us all from knowing for sure.

It is still a great video, though.

    RIP Randy and Dime

  • Randy especially was very influential, probably more among musicians than the general public. I knew I would leave some important artists out, but I was mainly going for imagery to support the concept of the song itself. Thanks for watching.

    Scott

  • very bowie, good comp :)

  • amazing.

  • This is moving stuff. It is already on my facebook. Well done Scotto.

    Prieur (from Investment Postcards)

  • wow..great....

  • Hi Scott!!!This is so beautiful!!!! and thank you:)

  • nice.,,.

  • I HATE SAX MUSIC NOT FOR ROCK

  • Puncuation please!

  • are you a teacher in william floyd HS???

  • Nope!

  • Premise:

When we make heroes out of famous people, we do a disservice to them and marginalize our own lives. Discuss...

  • i'm not a big metal head, but Dimebag Darell of Pantera was shot on stage and Randy Rhodes of Ozzy Ozbourne died in a plane crash. I think John Denver died in a crash too.

  • Yeah. There are certainly a lot of artists who are not in the video, but that doesn't mean they are not missed. I didn't mean to create a comprehensive list, just an original song that expresses my feelings, with some imagery that reflects them.

    Scott
