  • I feel every bit of emotion she put into this performance.

  • Stevie... Stevie... Stevie...

    Fleetwood Rulez.....

    Awesome!!

    Thanks for sharing

  • this is beautiful

  • I LOVE Fleetwood Mac!!!! They're the best!! There is just no modern day equivalent to their genre of music...

  • no joke! she is so honest, and dosent care if she looks volnerable.

  • I just heard this song for the first time ever, I'm playing piano on it for a friend's gig....very beautiful! Everything said above is true! Songs like this are quite rare...

  • "I know I could have loved but you would not let me," but I kept trying anyway and still do. "Was I such a fool?"

Song strikes a chord, can you tell?

  • This is enchanting! It's so delicate and beautiful. Fleetwood Mac will forever remain one of my top bands.

This older stuff is so much more raw than The Dance, which was brilliant but this stuff is a totally different story. I wish they would have put this on the Rumors album. I also wish I could have grown up in this generation instead of now.

  • This song reminds me (with tears) of my first love when he was married to his ex. Hard to hear all the way through.......

  • no matter what version it is she has been my favorite since i was 7 years old. that will never change.

  • i don't care what version it is.... she's been the best to me since i was 7.

  • No, I think it's an unfinished version. There are no backing vocals.

  • If this is the one from disc 2 of the remastered "Rumours", it isn't so much a 'rough' outtake, as an outtake of the *full* song ~ the track which made it onto disc 1 is an edit of this.

  • Best version ever. Is this on the Rumours re-mastered. Why have I not ever heard, "go ahead and cry"?

  • Yes this is on the 2004 re-release of Rumours.

    LVR

  • Stevie, if the stars could shine like you....

  • Can you feel what love is all about? Pure emotion, and that what the world needs more of~

  • I think of this song and I get somewhat of the same feeling. It reminds me of a special night I had with someone I love. It brings back the feelings of raw emotion in its purest form. I completely understand what love is all about. This song captures that for me.

  • I know exactly how she feels in this song.

When I first heard of this I thought of a close friend that I love and all we will be is friends and I know I could love him but he won't give me that chance and it hurts.

  • One of my favorite Stevie (FWM) songs. Love your channel. I have subbed.

    :o)

  • I thank you for uploading this. This truly is a brilliant song. Incidentally, I enjoyed the slideshow as well, especially that pic at 5:15.

  • Amazing. Some of these so-called "rough outtakes" from established veteran musicians are better than the produced and release crap you hear today from these so-called new artists.

  • wow. is this the version that was going to be on Rumours? i know that she was upset that it didn't get on the record. anyway i think that that is what made the dance version so wonderful. all the built up emotion just got channeled into that song. it became the stevie/lindsey soundtrack on that tour. i don't think that it would of been as good if they had put it on the Rumours album. but that is just my opinion.

  • It's unlikely this version of the song would've been on the album. Then again, I don't see how the 4 1/2 minute version was too long to be included on "Rumours." Regardless, the album wouldn't have been that much longer with the inclusion of either version. It wasn't unusual to have album sides running more than 25 minutes. Maybe they had a problem placing it in sequence to the other songs?

  • or maybe lindsey just wanted his fun guitar song? lol. "i don't want to know" is ok. just not my favorite.

  • Maybe but I can also imagine it being a case of group politics. If Stevie got another song on the album, then perhaps the band would've needed to have given Lindsay another track as well.

  • it's not the song number or they wouldn't of put i don't want to know on to replace it. i don't know what their thoughts were but i don't guess it matters since they have made amends for it now. and now they're all back to hating each other just like always. =[ stevie said that she won't tour and neither will chris.

  • I love this song .... when i was broke up with me ex this song help me so much. plus Stevie well always rock . And what Stevie and Lindsey has will never go away .......

  • I love Stevie.

I had not heard this version before, thanks for posting this!

  • she has such a hauting voice, this is my favourite version yet.the words hit so many raw feelins.the greatest song writer/singer ever!the chemistry b/tween stevie/lyndsey is endless.

  • i am so in2 this band.this song,.its got such depth it.timeless

  • Thank you for posting this!!

Silver Springs is my favorite Fleetwood Mac song and this is the best version I've heard.

  • What a talent!! Fleetwood Mac rock! Stevie Nicks really is one of a kind. Beautiful song!! Can't believe 'Fleetwood' wouldnt let it on the original rumours album. But perhaps it makes it ever so more endearing to this day. So much emotion in her voice....Even if Lindsey and Stevie don't get on that well nowadays. There's no question they will always love eachother....

  • great voice.....wonderful song.....*thx*

  • FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC!!!! Thanks for posting this. This version is... beyond sick and is now my fave! Did I hear "go ahead and cry" somewhere around 4:18 (ish)?

  • Yup: you heard right. Fantastic song.

  • yes she did.have u noticed she always adds a extra message in the live versions for lyndsey.

  • can anyone tell me if this is an actual video, or if someone just threw some pics in the for the song?

  • This would be a slideshow - not an actual video

  • thx!

  • lol

  • whats so funny? - that was a valid question!

  • modernshiva hun you have no idea, i feel the same hun. this song was the only one that made us cry together. i miss her. oh well. still a great tune hun. glad i am not the pnly one that loves it.

  • I know that this may sound ridiculous...but this song reminds me of my ex-girlfriend...and though we no longer speak, I know that we shall always share things such as this......

  • BEAUTIFUL!

  • i love this, i always prefer the demos versions

  • Oh my!! Fantastic! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
