  • thye have a monsters inc ride?

  • LOL! Nice ride!

  • i cant believe they didnt say anything bout u recording or did they

  • @JudyGarlandRocks No, they didn't say anything. I walked right up, camcorder in hand, and it wasn't like they couldn't see it. They didn't say a word. I've had very good luck videotaping a lot of things at Disneyland and Disney World.

  • monsters inc. is the best!

  • I go to disneyland 1 time a weekend because i have a annual passport i go on Matterhorn Bobsleds first and when i go to Disney`s California Adventure i go on The Twilight Zone Tower Of Terror!

  • omg was there any line

  • I shot this during a soft opening before the ride was officially open. Most of the park goers that day didn't know it was open.

  • No its fun

  • wow no people expect before you git on

  • Comment removed

  • Looks cool, im going to the Disney Florida in april do they have it there?

  • No, this ride is only available at Disney's California Adventure.

  • disney world was fun i went there last year

  • how did randal dissapper and then how did he change colors later???

    im confused

  • @calumskull The diappearing is a Pepper's Ghost effect. They just project the colours onto him.

  • I rode this ride when it first came out. 3 hour waiting line for less than 3 minute ride...

  • why the hell is there no rollercoaster

  • Thanks for the post!

  • This is On Disneyland?

  • Actually, this is in Disney's California Adventure which is a part of the Disneyland Resort.

  • What always makes this ride enjoyable is Roz all the way at the end...

  • yes! a walk on. no line!

  • Unlike the last time I rode it and waited 40 minutes. The video was shot during a soft opening, it was random chance we got to ride it at all.

  • I rode it during the "soft opening" as well :)

  • yes! a walk on. no line!

  • How'd you get the camera past security?...

  • Disney does not stop people from bringing in handheld camcorders into their parks, and except for certain shows, does not prohibit their use in rides and attractions.

  • Oh I see, just asking.

    Awesome video BTW.

  • @ 3:55 "23-19!" lol

nice job blackjackjoe, me and the fam are heading up this Sunday 2-24-08(if it quits raining). I love this ride, I think it captures the feeling of the movie in a pretty amazing way. When the CDA vehicles shine their lights on you and you can feel the wind off the rotors of the helicopter hovering overhead, man - it's like you're in the movie.

Has anyone noticed (i'm sure you have) the smell of ginger in the sushi place? Classic.

    Fun ride, nice video!

  • Thanks for the compliment. I have to admit that I didn't notice the smell. I don't have a strong sense of smell, I have to try hard to smell everything when I ride Soarin'. My next trip is starting March 24th. I'll try to pay attention and see if I can smell the ginger.

  • COOL CAN YOU MAKE MORE VIDEOS

  • I don't have video for a lot of the other attractions, but if you tell me what you're interested in, I can look thru my tapes and see what I have.

I put up this video because at the time the ride was in Soft Opening and not too many people had seen it yet.

  • This ride looks fun as i love animatronics. Will ride it the first time end of this month.

  • Cool. Hope you enjoy it while you're there. We rode it again our last trip, and I still like it.

  • i always love the ending but the animatronics are horriblr. why couldnt they be like the ones in pirates of the carribean

  • Because its a D-ticket.

    Just like the Fantasyland rides.

And its the most advanced D-ticket in the whole resort.

  • sorry to use the word "horrible" like that

i was just mad to see that this park growing in technology and couldnt make these you know..

    but yea.

Do you know why they named the Name of the animatronics "D-Tickets"

  • the reason they made it the D-ticket ride is because it is not a rollercoaster, it also is a little kids ride and that is how they got the letter D. But to let you know it was very popular than A,B.C.E tickets.

  • so..what IS a, b, c, and e?

man, 8 months and this is still going on

  • How did they get Randal to change colors like that? That was pretty cool.

  • Its just Disney Magic! ;)

  • I guess that I will go on this when I go next month.

Doesn't look as impressive as some of the Fantasyland darkrides are, but still pretty good.

When did this ride open up? 'Cause I was there only 3 months before this video was shot. :S

  • The video was shot over a year about 18 months ago. The ride was soft opened right around New Years. Officialy, I think it opened somewhere between Mid-January, early February.

  • Huh...well, thanks! :)

  • that had to be the cutest movies ever! the ride is cute too/

  • The ride looks really, really, REALLY slow. If it isn't it's still a lot slower than other rides like Peter Pan, or Snow White.

  • It's not a fast ride, but there's a lot going on that I wasn't fully able to capture on video, and if it was much faster, you'd have a hard time taking it all in.

  • hm. the animatronics could've been more impressive, but a cool ride none the less

  • that was the worst fuckin ride ever!

  • where is this

    ?

  • In Disney's California Adventure at the Disneyland Resort.

  • I liked this! I didn't know there was such a ride, and since i'm such a big fan of the movie this was a wonderful experience - contrary to that idiots comment about the lack of emmersion; I totaly disagree! Left me very excited!

  • Glad you like it. My friends and I really enjoy the ride.

  • I agree! :)

  • This felt hardly like a ride at all to watch, even if you don't experience the thrills behind a ride you can at least normally see or hear it in the riders reactions, this was more like some kinda tour guided advertisement for the film... made as cheaply as they could get away with for that matter, there's no sense of interaction between rider and attraction at all... you might as well just watch the film itself

  • I think this is an example of a ride with a lot of flair but not a lot of heart. Sure, it told the store. Sure, it was beautiful. I just didn't feel anything while watching the video. No real emotions with the characters or music. Also, the lack of moving mouths was kind of weak. Even the kids in "Small World" and the ghosts in "Mansion" move more than that.

  • "I just didn't feel anything while watching the video"

That's because a video isn't the same as experiencing it in person. There's a big difference. B-)

  • "I just didn't feel anything while watching the video"

That's because a watching a RIDE video isn't the same as RIDING and experiencing it in person. There's a big difference.

  • "I just didn't feel anything while watching the video."

Uh, that's because watching a ride isn't the same as actually riding it and getting the complete experience in person.

  • SORRY for all those multiple comments! There was a glitch and I didn't mean for that to happen. :(

    Again, sorry. :(

  • Very interesting! A great video, but the ride is annoying in the sense that they have obviously put the entire blame on Randall and have not mentioned Waternoose in any way whatsoever.

  • Well, in a Disney dark ride they usually don't have time to set up the WHOLE plot, it would have been too much to include that sub plot with Waternoose, it would have made the ride way too long. dark rides usually just give the basic plot. And in this case it was; Mike and Sully have to get Boo home before Randall gets her. Simple and sweet. For people who have never seen the movie, they just need to know the basics.

  • Even though I'm a 42 year old man, Waternoose freaks me out. Brrr!

This is a quality piece of genius.

  • They do a nice job of directing the eye to encourage following the story, but I wish they'd at least try to synch mouth movements to dialogue. It looks so weird. It's 2006 for crying out Boo!

  • At the end, Roz moved her mouth. And that's probably because she's talking TO US.

  • Cool.
