I usually don't like to post negative comments on here, but this list could be a LOT better. Think of how many great scores are missing. In my opinion, John Williams, James Horner, Hans Zimmer and Danny Elfman are the '4 Horsemen' when it comes to movie scores - add Jerry Goldsmith to the mix, if there can be a fifth horseman - and you left out several amazing scores from those 5 composers. How can you leave out Glory, Apollo 13, Schindler's List, The Pariot and Rudy....just to name a few?

You left off 2 good ones...and one that is a HUGE oversight.

First...James Newton Howard's Signs Score is great...the music is really the vehicle that carries that movie...better than Sixth Sense I would say.

And...HOW DID YOU LEAVE OFF "THE MISSION" By Ennio Morricone????? That is a major oversight. "Gabriel's Oboe" is fantastico! You HAVE to check it out!

How exactly did you judge these soundtracks? It's quite an odd compilation. Some of these soundtracks are memorable, but I wouldn't consider them the 'best' soundtracks in terms of aesthetic beauty. *Shrugs* Thanks for the upload though. I personally love the Spiderman, The Dark Knight, Gladiator, and Requiem for a Dream soundtracks.

Oh, no, I most definitely understand that. I was more talking about having a clear definition of how you're judging them (whether based on memorability, popularity, emotional, etc). For example, judging from your list, I would have expected you to have included the original Batman score (by Danny Elfman) instead of the more recent one.  It's both beautiful and memorable; everyone knows it's the theme for Batman.
