I had one in the early '60s I swapped it for a Tiger Cub. It was an AJS 350 16ms and just like yours it fires after every lamp post, Mine though was tied down to a side car but it would still do 70 MPH down hill with a following wind. Just looking at them bring back happy memories..Ahhhhh :0)
Great. Don't even think of repainting this bike or replating the chrome. The rust and wear are PATINA. Redo the interior engine parts, bearings, brakes, etc, but leave the rest alone.
They can only be original once. What a wonderful running piece of history. Drive it and maintain it well..... don't turn it into another show statue.
