It is so annoying that people such as ScornedbySara have to bring up another controversial issue, the war, that has nothing to do with the one at hand. The war sucks we all get that but this is a discussion for those that keep us away from the horribleness of reality by entertaining us. How selfish to bash them for fighting for their rights, that is how America was established the writers have every right to fight for what is theirs!

I don't want 'the best' now. I'm pissed off that they would so easily disregard our feelings, the fact that we come home from real work and labor to be entertained and they are willing to suspend that for to line their own pockets with a few more cents.

Oh, so now you hate me for coming to enjoy the storylines your kind have created to the point that I don't want them interrupted by bullshit behind the scenes drama? Sorry, how unpeasantlike of me to voice my own opinion.

Selfish? An hour of entertainment is too much to ask now? You people can say wholeheartedly that the studios need the writers, but the writers need the viewers too. How dare I expect the writers to do their jobs? Maybe I just shouldn't watch their shows if I'm such a selfish viewer.
Imagine you worked a full week (40 hours), didn't get paid, and were told you were selfish for wanting to get paid. And then the people who benefit from your work say, "I don't care what it costs you as long as I get to be entertained. I work hard at real work. Your work is so worthless that you should be thanking me for even taking an interest in it."

I don't need life lessons from you. You have no conception of the things that have happened in my life. Anyone who dissents from popular opinion is not immature or a troll.
Hmmm, funny you should say that. The people you just described are the studio's that they are striking against. Maybe you should quit thinking so selfishly and look a little higher. Then you may see the real people that are trying to line their pockets at the wga and our expense.
they dont make that much. believe me. in fact for the people that design out entertainment, the prolly profit the least, except for the sound mixer. so know what your talking about or shut the hell up.

It's too bad people protesting the war don't mind terrorist attacks and the trampling of women's rights in Iraq (when we're not there to keep those animals calling themselves men in line).
And do you REALLY think shows like LOST and Prison Break would be what they are without the WRITERS!?! My gosh, who do you think it is that comes up with the shows, and the compelling plots and dialogue that make them worth watching? The strike is NOT the writers fault, the studios need to wake up and realize that they need to pay them their fair share for THEIR work.

I agree that they were genius concepts, but if they're willing to punish their art over financial disputes, then I'd rather someone else take the helms of those shows than for them to be destroyed by their creators.
It's the studios who are willing to let the art be punished by not fairly compensating the people who create it. It's a beautiful idea you're proposing, that people can make art without compensation, and maybe in the future places like youtube will allow them do that even for shows like Lost. However at the moment the fact is people need to be payed, and payed fairly, for their creative efforts. That is what the WGA is fighting for.
No wonder Sara scorned you, because you, sir, are an asshole.

No, it isn't. If this jeopardizes the futures of shows like Lost and Prison Break forever, I'd just as soon have them be replaced.
