  • Inspirational!

  • Aron Ralston... the man whose balls were bigger than the rock his arm was stuck in...

  • Wife: Honey dont forget your knife

Aron: I wont honey, thanks I nearly forgot. Oh well it useless anyways...

This is such an inspiration I made a liitle joke. A great story. I would never go through that pain just to get free. I would rather die...

  • unbelievable

  • You Aaron are a HERO!

  • im hurting just by watching this, kudos Aron

  • what a guy! such an inspiration.

  • Inspirational.

  • fuckin insane wow

  • That's will power for ya. If i was ever like that i wouldn't be able to cut through my own arm.

    Like a boss.

  • Sorry I meant Ralston!

    Oops...

  • This man is a true legend. I would never be able to do what he did. He is so amazing. If I was in his position, I don't really know what I'd do, but I would not have the strength to cut off my own arm. I cannot even imagine how much pain he went through to free himself. God bless Aron Rolston

  • He is absolutely amazing

  • like a boss

  • @omegax9547 not my boss

  • If i where in his situation I would have died. I would not be able to gather enough strength to cut my own arm.

  • At least he will get double useage from a pair of gloves n a good hook for scratching!!!!!

  • @tommynicholls seriously

  • i have so much respect for this man, he is a true inspiration and a real hero.

  • Wow that dude is amazing but if i was in his position id have cut my wrist and bled to death peacefully

  • I can't even imagine the pain he must of gone through. :(

  • Brave Man :) Remind Me Of The Film 'Everbodys Baby: The Rescue Of Jessica McClure' That Film Is Emotional---127 Hours Great Film But Unluckly I Had A Sick Bug When I Watched It + The Bloody Scenes Wernt Too Pretty :S LOL

  • this guy is just a legend, hes AMAZING. i mean i didnt actuallly think it was a true story until just before i watched it and this man is just a true hero.

  • gosh most of be hurtful hitting the nerve ;( he had so much bravery

  • so remember always carry a knife

  • @MsSantosh22 Always carry a good knife* ;) he said that he might have been out quicker if he didn't have a "cheap knife that came free with a flashlight. That was crap too".

    Such a legend...

  • @MsSantosh22 Even if I had a knife on me i still wouldn't end up cutting my own arm off, im just not brave enough... if you saw the film, when he cuts his nerve... that must have been extremely painful. Just imagine going through that... and breaking the arm, Iv'e fractured my arm before and that's nothing compared to something like that and fracturing my arm was the most painful thing of my life... im only 13 and still have a lot of years to come but i hope i never have to do that...EVER

  • And I can't do my god damn homework, wow I'm such a failure lol

  • Ate his arm? Haha :-) he had his hand cremated and his ashes are scattered in the spot where he amputated it. I remember reading the interview.

  • I heard that he ate his arm! But I think this takes guts, I would've chosen death but he,courageously, put himself through the most excruciating pain without any anaesthetic or pain-relief and then walked for miles on end, bleeding and rapidly losing life. He is a brave, inspirational, respectful man because it takes a lot of strength to even think logically and methodically when your in a position like that. Much respect for that man,

  • this story is just amazing i can't believe this poor man went through this torture ! you're amazing !!

  • Just watched 127 hours on channel 4. Its a film i've been meaning to watch. It reminded me of my cousin who fell down a canyon in spain and he didnt tell anyone where he was going, or what he was doing. just took off one morning. he was found 2 weeks later by my uncle, his father, who flew out from england to help find him. RIP scott. xx

  • i have the utmost respect for this man

  • The thought of doing what he did and undergoing it all scares me

  • April76301, I think it's called the radial nerve.

  • cool man

  • he is a man

  • A true man

  • I just can't imagine the pain he went through cutting that nerve, the thought of it makes me cringe. Absolute hero to us all

  • Hero.

  • You should get $ for this ur a legend

  • fascinating video, but i couldn't help but chuckle at "The insulated lining of his water blottle"

  • Wow could be the bravest man on Earth bet ypur mums well proud

  • Watching 127 hours right now !!

  • Instinct to survive, same way a bird would peck its leg off if trapped in a net! Hell of an individual!

  • I don't get queasy over gory stuff, EVER.

But watching the amputation scene in the movie damn near made me white out, seriously.

I guess the surrealness of it all combined with the shocking empathy of watching a guy do what he needed to do not to die, was really that gripping. And that's very high praise for a film.

  • The man is a legend! Hard as nails.....could you do it?

  • Anyone can pull a trigga...not everyone can do wat this man did...A TRUE HERO..courageous and balls of steel..

  • @Searcheur LMAO he'd just be thinking 'why the fuck did i come back here'

  • This brings tears to my eyes, because my pains compared to what this man went through is nothing. God bless him.

  • God bless this man.

  • just shows how strong humans can be just to survive..

  • HE DIDNT EVEN CRY IN THE MOVIE DUNNO IN REAL LIFE PROBANLY NOT COZ THE MOVIE IS THE EXACT

  • Well hard!

  • GREAT MOVIE

  • fuck chuck norris. this guy is fucking hard core. now im off to throw up.

  • Cutting off your own arm, with no medicine or pain-relief?

    Thats Will-Power, Now THATS will-power.

  • @CrazyIrishDrunk1 I agree. On the other hand, if it was a case of 1 hour of excruciating pain to survive or alternatively, suffer a long, slow death, I know what I'd do.

  • @CrazyIrishDrunk1 detail: with a blind knife! Sweet Jesus, this guy is an effin badass... ._.

  • @CrazyIrishDrunk1 Hell yeah! Breaking 2 bones AND cutting off your arm with a dull knife! Amazing man! Hell, I can't even pluck my eyebrows because it hurts so bad and still tear up while having them waxed! I couldn't do this.

  • Just watching the movie now it was get rid of hand oh die

  • Amazing man!

  • Things you gotta do to survive! It had to be done. you will never know until you are in that situation to know whether you would really have the balls to break your bones and slice through your arm! Life or death.... that was the 2 choices he had! He chose life!! Just puts a whole lot of perspectiveness on life on so many levels! What an amazing story and amazing man. Thank you for surviving and telling the story that inspires life itself!!

  • brave man

  • Brave stuff! The nerve bit must have been the sorest thing you could imagine

  • Thumbs up if you have a thumb to up.

  • Oh my days, he has balls man, i know i wouldn't have even thought about cutting my arm off let alone dare to.

  • in the film he described that, the rock has been their for thousands of years, and its been waiting for him to go their to end his life. its been waiting for that moment for all those years. How powerful is that. Love the film and so glad the guy made it out alive. Well done Aron for being so brave to do such a thing.

  • 127 hours is on Channel 4 (UK) right now, watching this during the adverts. Such an amazing film!

  • @McL0vable omg me too!

  • @McL0vable i'm watching it on channel 4 +1. grim shit

  • fucking hell, iv snapped both bones in my arm and that was bareable, but doing it on purpose, never ever, dont have the balls to do that!

  • He's so strong <3

  • the bravest man ever

  • What a brave man...I'm watching 127 hours for the first time right now....I don't know how he had the courage to do that

  • @kirsty2010dodgs same!!

  • the emotion in his voice. killing me right now. talk about intense

  • i feel so sorry for you this is so shocking i have alot of respect for you

  • Not gonna lie I'd rather sit there and die. But I have a lot of respect for you Mr. Ralston.

  • He's a braver man than me.

  • watching 127 hours whilst drinking copious fluids and whispering "it's okay" to your right arm.

  • @StetsonsAreCoool hehehe

  • story of a courageous man..not for kids..

  • "I was not going to die right here... and the power of that was - astonishing." - Aron Ralston

  • Btw about the nerve they were talking about at around 4:28 if someone could please tell me what its called that would be nice and thank you.

  • The nerve part sounds fun...

  • why would they bring him back there....

  • who the fuck is this reporter? shut the fuck up it aint your story

  • oh my god this made my arm hurt just listening to him describe it

  • imagine another boulder fell on his left arm

  • fuck Saw, this is the real shit

  • What a brave bloke

  • very definition of a BAD ASS

  • I had to keep pausing periodically so that I wouldn't throw up...

  • Just listening to him describe what he had to go through made me feel weak and sick, it's incredible he had the stomach and the sheer will power to do something as excruciating as to cut off your own arm, this guy is amazing

  • It took 13 men, a winch, and a hydraulic jack to lift the boulder high enough to retrieve Aron's arm from the canyon.

  • I wonder if the delirium and dehydration made the whole process relatively painless. Could he feel what was happening? I would think that purposely breaking both bones in your arm and cutting it would cause shock due to the amount of pain. Or just the fact that his arm was decomposing.

  • @WeCaredALot i think that the rock was pushing so much pressure on it, he couldnt feel it. plus i guess that sheer determination and adrenaline to live pushed him.

  • 127 Hours is a great movie

  • FROM NOW HE IS MY HEREO :D

  • videos like this should give the up-loader the choice to put a dislike button

  • ONLY WHITE PEOPLE...

  • but, where is his hand? did it fall from the rock like 1 month after?

  • @SilentLetsPlay23 It was removed when he was in the hospital

  • @mindylinky no I ment where is the hand that was stuck in the stone, yes he escaped with rest of his hand but where is the other part of his arm?

  • @SilentLetsPlay23 That's what I meant-while he was in the hospital, rescuers went back to where he was stuck, and used a winch and hammers to remove the rock, and his hand, which was cremated

  • dude this guy is the bravest man I've seen, i know i wouldn't have the guts to do something like that, i would have die there from dehydration....

  • Holy. fucking. shit.

  • I bet bear grilles couldnt do this...

  • @IRideBMXLikeaNinja right? wat would he do? LOL

  • @IRideBMXLikeaNinja He would've eaten his arm

  • this guy is the truth. the absolute definition of survival no matter what the cost. i give him props for what he did. and people have to understand to survive you have to things you would not normally do. this guy is the reality of that.

  • @hom859 And everyone knows that props from hom859 are the highest honor one can receive.

  • I wanted to hear Aron describe it all, not the narrator.

  • The Saw movies don't even come CLOSE to this...

  • @JJdaHyProman the movie was medically correct. saw just shows blood. -.-

  • @kingoftsunade Who said 127 Hours wasn't biologically correct? I never gave an inkling of that because I was comparing a real insane trial to survive with those hilarious ones from Saw. ~.~ think i don't know this is real? Wow then I must be a crappy EMT

  • @JJdaHyProman i was not disagreeing. :P i was saying that SAW is not biologically correct. you misunderstand.

  • @kingoftsunade lol ok my bad

  • @JJdaHyProman let's not get carried away

  • You can see the way he talks actually sounds a bit like the actor. I would die in his position. He deserves it all and more.

  • stupid rock

  • real life saw

  • i would have those 71 people who dislike this have there arm cut off by themself with a blunt pocket knife and see how much they dislike it now.

  • All I can say is wow.

  • watched "127" last night, this is so much more powerful and inspiring. had to stop watching for a moment cause i felt week and was afraid to pass out..

  • Maybe the people who are disliking it are disliking that it happened? That he had to go through that?

  • Just him describing the pain gives me shivers

  • I have watched the movie a few times now and every time it gets to this part I tear up, watching this clip is so emotional. He is such a strong man and an inspiration. Aron Ralston I look up to you.

  • I watched "127 Hours" last night. Gruesome and harrowing enough for the viewer, let alone Aron Ralston. The will to live is indeed a powerful force.

  • Thumbs up if you had to compulsively feel the joints of your arms while watching this video.

  • This is the reason I always carry a sharp knife whenever I go hiking. Imagining this with a sharp blade is horrifying enough... but a blunt one? Ouch.

  • Comment removed

  • uhh, that nerve scene still gives me shivers!

  • i can't believe that 70 people now dislike this? while watching this i couldn't even finish this. i feel so bad for this guy. imagine not having an arm and knowing that your own arm is decomposing. then he had to break his arm and amputate it himself.

  • how did he get out from there on?

  • This man is more hardcore than Chuck Norris, deal with it!

  • And then "FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffft!"

  • i dislike that he lost his arm.....

  • Worlds greatest hero? An exaggeration. But he inspires people to not give up, which is good in of itself. He made a mistake not telling anyone where he was going, but he liked solitude, and he regretted it. Let's just call him what he is, a brave person who did not give up, and reserve the term hero for those like Leroy Petry, Dakota Meyer and Sal Giunta(look up their stories)

  • the details of when he "popped" and snapped his bones is gruesome. he is so brave! must have been so terrifying!

  • Comment removed

  • because of humans like this....we are what we are now.

  • i would like to see tis 69 ppl in the same situation

  • @hxs1000 why would you want to see 69 people suffer like this? and perhaps they simply dislike the fact this man had to go through this.

  • @hxs1000 bit of a sick thing to say, they only clicked dislike for fucks sake its not like they hurt anyone

  • @hxs1000 The reason of a dislike can comes from the quality of the video from the freaking loading time. So if you wish to see 69 people in the same situation because of their internet connection or their bad taste, just go fuck yourself.

  • 69 people will to live is as big as the dislike bar

  • 69 people cut of the wrong arm

  • What a hero this man is. An incredible story.

  • Still can't believe this is true, woah.

  • I can't imagine what you must feel being trapped there for 5 days,it's crazy.

  • just hearing about it gives me the chills

  • fuck sake :(((((((( X(((((

  • thumbs up this comment it counts as disliking the pussies who hated on a man with bigger balls than the boulder he was trapped with

  • foolish to be out there alone , but such a brave man for doing what he had to -to survive, its amazing what a living thing will do to stay alive. !!!!!!

  • Well, excually in any life threatning situation a human would be capable of things you can't imagine but it's still very brave of him.

  • a true brave hero he is and imagining amputating your own arm.

thumbs up if you would do the same thing Aron did

    thumbs down if you wouldn't

  • Comment removed

  • He describes it so matter-of-factly. A normal person would have been completely traumatised by something like this.

  • *pulls eyeslids down in distraught*

    oi! >.<

  • Makes me sick thinking about it. My god, I don't know how anyone could do that.

  • my god

  • how the hell do u build up the nerve to do that well if ur in a life threatening situation then ud do it but vheers for arron ralston o and waych 127 hours BEST MOVIE EVER!

  • a true self hero,,what a courage he had that time,,

  • this guy probably gets lots of girls now...

  • @mntpianofreak probably, but he's married and has a son. indeed his wife is a very beautiful woman.

  • the bravest guy ever...

  • this guy got some real neutronium balls.

  • I don't think I could get through that much less go back and talk about it.

  • Have a great life now. :)

  • This guy is real hero. Respect!

  • Seriously, 68 people that dislike this??? What is there to dislike, a brave man that fought for his life by making unbelievable hard decision.

  • @bantex81 dude WHO cares about dislikes...

  • @bantex81 well i agree to your comment, but i have to add, that he only go into this situation because he didnt tell anyone where he was going, which is pretty stupid. apart from that i loved the book and the movie.

  • @Lilly0392 how ignorant, it is not like he expected this to happen.

  • @bantex81 i don't think that anyone could disrespect this guy...the only reason that some may have clicked the "dislike" button is bec
