But I think this takes guts, I would've chosen death but he,courageously, put himself through the most excruciating pain without any anaesthetic or pain-relief and then walked for miles on end, bleeding and rapidly losing life. Just watched 127 hours on channel 4. Its a film i've been meaning to watch. It reminded me of my cousin who fell down a canyon in spain and he didnt tell anyone where he was going, or what he was doing. just took off one morning. he was found 2 weeks later by my uncle, his father, who flew out from england to help find him. But watching the amputation scene in the movie damn near made me white out, seriously.

I guess the surrealness of it all combined with the shocking empathy of watching a guy do what he needed to do not to die, was really that gripping. And that's very high praise for a film.
