It would be nice if the NWA would do more on Ring of Honor, with the World's Heavyweight and other World titles being shown on there. Not exclusively, of course (Hint: TNA). Perhaps even doing things like the old NWA vs. WWWF title matches with the NWA vs. ROH title matches.
The emotion that Pearce showed for this title change is sorely missing in anything done by WWE and TNA today.

I have to dissagree.Back then the NWA title belt means something.But today we have the ROH world title.That is the most important title belt in North America.Maybe they should let Bryan Danielson hold that belt.That would make the belt important for sure

WWE may not have consistent 20-30 minute classics on every show, but they tell far better stories than a lot (not all by any means) of matches in other feds and have sound psychology. Nothing is perfect, and acting as if the NWA is perfect because it's traditional is laughable. I'm a fan of all wrestling from new Japan to CMLL to TNA to the WWE to ROH and even some CZW. I like the NWA I see today but just because you're a fan of the classic wrestling doesn't mean you can discount the current wrestling as garbage or "posers". Especially when promos and telling a story is so important and guys in the WWE do it better than near anyone. There is a reason the SMART fans (not the SMARK fans who think they're smart) will say besides maybe Danielson, Cena is the best.
And to be honest, I think Dragon deserves it even more than Albright...and Danielson is indeed a better wrestler and he also has a better mic skill than Albright does.
Congratulations to Brent Albright on the greatest victory of his career, he deserves it.

No. Because wrestling always changes. The 80s wrestling was far different than the 70s and the 70s was far different than the 50s/60s (which were a lot alike) which was far different than the 30s/40s.

I disagree i fell Albright should of lost in the finals to the American Dragon Bryan Danielson because that man is in every sense of the word OLD SCHOOl and would of added more of a prestige to the NWA World Championship that it despretly needed. Danielson couldn't have won the title at that time because he was in contract negotiations. He was in talks with the WWE at that time and it appeared as though he would be leaving, so they weren't going to put the title on him. I agree with what you said about Pearce, he's an AMAZING heel.
I beleive that Danielson was pulled from the Finals of the NWA Tourny because he had a detached retina at the Hands of Takeshi Morishima back at ROH's Manhatten Mayhem II. At least we agree on some things about Pearce's ability of being a heel i think he is really underrated and when you put a or your world title on him he is GOLD have you seen Pearce's work in PWG back in 2003?

No, the red belt is only being used for the 60th anniversary, so on Dec. 31, 2008 they wil go back to the black belt.

First of all, the new 'red belt' is awesome. Best looking belt in the business today. Yes, even better looking than the 'big gold belt'.
Secondly, I really liked the pre- and post-match promo's. They gave me goosebumps, something WWE or TNA hasn't given me in a while.
