I have been infatuated with the sport of gymnastics since I was about 10. However, I wasn't please with gymnastics consuming a girl's childhood. I'm glad that Shawn Johnson's coach made it a 4-hour-a-day thing for her. And it's great 'cause she proved that she could be the champ and most importantly...be a kid.

One can assume that Chow is not very happy with all the cameras, they were recording all the individual details of the movements of Shawn, and as a coach you always wants to hold new tricks in "secret", Chow probably felt that if Shawn was going to the Olympics, it's better if she stayed out of the cameras! You do not want to give all the details and the new skills to your opponents! I guess!
He put a lot of time into shawn !! ...but i went to his website they ised to be a publice gym ....now you must send in a video to get in ....bumerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Shannon has become a real TV hound and it's great to see. She's a good interviewer, and since she's been there, can deliver the real feeling of how these gymnasts prepare. What a differnece from that shy, talented little girl so long ago.
I wonder if shawn would be even better if she trained more hours, or if it would just clash with her too much (meaning, she wouldn't be in public school and thus, unhappy, she might be over worked and tired, she might get over use injuries...)
so cool that shawn is adding difficulty. I would like to see what nastia's up to also. i really want her to win. shawn has a good head on her and if she can keep doing what she's doing she can achieve her goals.
Somebody please tell Shannon Miller that Vanessa Ferrari won the bronze medal on 2007 Worlds AA (tie with Jade Barbosa). Shawn's tkatchev is quite good.
