changing the name from Ogadenia to little Somalia. Is it lawful? Geographically renaming a state that is outside your control is as effective as renaming a child who doesnt belong to you. As of today, Ogadenia is under the control of Ethiopia, and renaming it is out of the question.

The name was given to the region by colonial powers, and it is because of colonial powers that forbid us from changing it.
Since were exploring possibilities, lets argue that Meles Zenawi was kind enough to allow the ONLF--who happen to be at war with him--to change the name of a region that is undergoing genocide;

Sheekhqudub, I don't believe its right for us to be arguing about a name when the people and the land are under occupation. First, liberation for the Ogaden/Western Somalia, and then worry about the name.

sheekho, where are these other somalis u speak of... why aren't they fighting, why aren't they dieing for tha land if they own it, tha matter of fact is they dont own nothing... the land is called ogaden, for ogadeni people own it, and die for it...

At that time this was not called Ogaden war, this was called Western Somali Libration Front, now they want change the name, they want erase the history and write new one, what a crazy ogadens, they dream about tribolism, they say the land and everyone is ogaden, the truth is the land is western somalia and the people are somali, ogaden is one of the many somali tribes who live there. If that is not even for them then they deserve Meles Zenawi what a match, untill they change their mind.

ogaden tribe is a fraction of the different somali tribes who live in the region. Lets all remmember that 77war was fought under the name western somali libration and it was so successful even even siyad barre could not believe what they did. So if you guys really love the land don't put your tribe above the land and your brothers who live with you, use a name that everyone can die for, and until that is achaived there will be not indipendant but a ethiopian brutal turtor.

The united states of America is today very interested in ogadeniya because of its huge oil and natural gas depot. the ONLF has good lobby in the US and its leaders have met with senior US DIPLOMAT and state department officials. If the US bushes for and demands freedom and self determination for ogadeniya like it did in kosovo, then we ogaden Somalis will be happy to allow its company's to explore our oil. I hope and pray for this victory insha Allah.

Somalia use to provide passports for TPLF Agames, to travel around the world for fund raising & to publicize the Agame cause. Eritreans trained, armed & crowned the Agames to Ethiopian palace, freeing the Agames from ethnic discrimination, abuse & maltreatment. Somalis have already united against the filth of Ethiopia and the testimony for that is AL-SHABAAB.Ethiopia assumed they would walk easily into the affairs of somalia (and according to their perfidious calculation, somalis r divided after 20 years of internal strife,so it must be easy to install a puppet regime),however, to their surprise, somalis overcame all of the past and did indeed punish ethiopia, more than we did in 1977 war, 1964-77 + the 1956 wars. long live the brave people of somalia
