  • Guy from MN says : Fuck Atmosphere.

  • sad thing is, i knew about MF doom, 8 years before i knew about doom, thanks barman!

  • "I can rock the mic to silence by johnny cage" :O c'mon lol he owns being offbeat, makes it sound original, check out my channel if you're a fan of true flows and original beats like this one

  • there's soo many things in that hand. .

  • Most mainstream rappers couldnt spell half the words this kid uses. On this album he says he can remember a time when people other than rappers were friends of the rhyme and wonders why poets today arent as prevelant. Its because of idiots ie THE GENERAL PUBLIC. Some1 said something about leetle wang? Y was he even mentioned? to point out how rap is nothing more than booty music now? I hope people hate this, the day i hear this emanating from a donk i will stop listening. white pride.

  • MIND,FUCKING,BLOWN... nuf said

  • People don't even listen to the lyrics. Too stuck on rhythmic pattern to pay attention to the genius writtens....

  • @2trips thank you these kids are idiots I dont understand how hes not flowing lol

  • Ignorant people dont like this

  • this guy has no flow... Fly beat, but this guy isn't a great rapper

  • sooo nice

  • does anyone know where i can get te instrumental

  • @Tmathh Do you mean the instrumental version of this actual song? Or the sampled stuff? I know for a fact the string section in this song is by Hugo Winterhalter, from a tune called "Who Can I Turn To?". And yes, I do have it. But I can't post the link here. Feel free to message me if you want it.

  • @Calabash30 i actually want both but thanks so much dood

  • DAMN!!!5*

  • Agreed. Remove the MC give me the track.

  • @mcenda for real!

  • need this instrumental need this instrumental need this instrumental need this instrumental

  • the beat makes my dick hurt

  • eh.. this guy sucks.

  • @AwesomeMcTubbs so..you make it a point to go to every Barman video to point that out? Troll elsewhere, my friend. This well is dry.

  • @heavensmile01 okay. doesn't change the fact.

  • " I can rock the mic to "Silence" by John Cage" .. Paul is so sick

  • I have no idea why anyone thinks he is unrhytmic, because he's perfectly in time. The only thing he does is not always rhyme words in the same place in the same sentence structure or in the same fashion, he uses lots of slant rhymes. anyone who says he has bad rhythm, even Paul himself, is using the wrong sort of phrasing to communicate their ideas.

  • even though his delivery's not that exciting

This is probably one of the best rap songs I've ever heard... ever. His level of lyricism is up there with the hip-hop legends.

  • Paul Barman seems to thinks having abstract lyrics with an unorthodox flow makes up for everything else.

  • He's dope, but i don't like his timing in some parts

  • @Nithralas he has NO rhythm

  • @Tmathh he has rhythm that you cannot understand.

  • @2trips dood he even admits its....he cant stay on beat at all his flow isnt even tight

  • sounds like watsky's (pale kid raps fast) older, smarter, and less rhythmic brother

  • sooooo fucking dope. such a classic white rapper feel to the song.

  • dude is nice

  • this guy should collab with watsky, the jewiest combo since the beastie boys.

  • Comment removed

  • Retardulous wordplay indeed.

  • love this

  • Jeff KOONTZ!!!!!!

  • Edward Scissorhands :]

  • take two and pass.... make you spin on your ass :D lmfao

  • This is not my favorite MCPB song by far.

  • his flow is horrible, shameful really. but his rhymes are articulate

  • Beat is sick, but this motherfucker can't rap!

  • @akatsukikage3 I'm sorry , but were you hit with a brick as a child? MC Paul B is beastly and better that all mainstream bullshit.

  • thats my opinion i'd rather listen to some aesop,cage,el-p or anyone other than this guy.

  • dope as fuck

  • this song is my shit

i catch wreck like a tow truck, silly kid

    i'm iller than the iliad

  • This is fucking dope.

  • For those who don't get the line "I can rock the mic to silence by John Cage," see this:

    watch?v=hUJagb7hL0E

  • My brother calls MC Paul Barman "almost mediocre," which made me laugh.

  • dope

  • wie kann man noch mal snkae spielen?

  • Produced by Prince Paul... 'nuff said.

If you don't know who that is, nothing you say matters.

  • @SpicyGyoza This track was produced by Phofo

  • @SpicyGyoza WRONG. Prince Paul didn't produce this track. Phofo did. Prince Paul produced MC PB's ep It's Very Stimulating. Apparently nothing you say matters.

  • @alouistheman Technically hes not wrong because he never said THIS track was produced by Prince Paul. I would say MC PB was produced by Prince Paul in the sense that he helped make him who he is.

  • @SpicyGyoza This song was actually produced by Phofo

  • Prince Paul has produced a LOT of his tracks - but this track was actually produced by Phofo. Still iller than the Illiad, though.

  • @KipArmadillo do you know where i can get it

  • @SpicyGyoza Actually Spicy, this track was produced by the producer known as Phofo.

  • @SpicyGyoza except he didn't produce it jackass

  • THE HOVA INTRO.

  • @noheros3 heck, oh fuck.

  • This is the hip hop you get when you go to an ivy league school.

  • Comment removed

  • this beat is fucking hard!!!!

  • PEMDAS AND SOHCAHTOA!!!!!!!!

  • @strangehero420 i like paul, im black. but maybe white people like white rappers alot more than blacks do, kinda what i see lol

  • @tyler2june its because white people are goofy and are easier to relate too for us, the white people ghetto is a trailer park, not a project, and so on and so forth, but i gotta say good white guy rappers are few and far between, like my top 3 fav rappers are del the funky homosapien (deltron 3030), mc paul barman and method and red ( i count them as one) so i dunno, i guess i just like rappers i deem as good without skin color

  • GREAT NOW UNDERGROUND WILL BE RUINED TOO!!!

  • XD.... Jesus H Christ. Not to be in vain but this is AMAZING! First song I heard from him after the one with MF

  • This M&M track is dope!

  • this is better then all RAP on TV fuck lil weasel

  • THIS MAN IS DOPE, GLAD I STUMBLED UPON HIM!!!

  • @JosephO75

I think you mean 'whack'. Maybe you mean it like: wacky ...

    Or...Wacky Anarchistic Christlike Kind?

  • yoooo I just listened to this guy for the 1st time today...REALNESS lol f*ck lil wayne and all those mainstream n*ggas he's the real deal if he mastered his flow it'd be on point

  • feelin this beat..

  • Paul Barman Is the shit. Seriously, fuck the haters that are even mentioning "rappers" like Slug, or the Def Jux chumps, or fuckin Lil Wayne and Nas. You guys need to read some fucking poetry and get educated. No homo.

  • @BluenoteAndTheKid lol have you ever even listened to nas before grouping him with lil' wayne? you don't deserve to listen to music.

  • @BluenoteAndTheKid seriously...this dude couldn't rap his way out of a paper bag. And man, Nas..if you don't consider him a poet you are not listening to the right songs. Not to mention Slug...ever heard Woman With The Tattooed Hands???? That's POETRY in every way, shape and form. Get educated? I believe it's you who needs some schoolin' dude.

  • @emcee4CEE ...it takes time to get used to the stee....this dude is to rap, what a garage band is to rock, it sounds like shit at first, but after a while, you sense the purity. Give him another chance bro, it might grow on you...peace.

  • @vg543 He says a lot, his lyrics are great...but FLOW, is a major staple of hip hop. I like him don't get me wrong, but I can only listen to so much in one sitting. It feels to me like he's making a joke out of being an MC. If he had more rhythm with his words, he would be incredible. But thank you for the civilized comment homie! Not many people on here would speak the way you did, I commend you on your well-mannered, well delivered opinion! Cheers brotha.

  • @emcee4CEE ......so true, I agree, he does have a touch of Weird Al Yankovic, haha. 1:41 - "rhymes come so easy...if I had any rhythm, you'd finally faint." at least he admits his timing sucks, lol. Yo, I checked your vid, "The Cooks" good job dude. Nice to see some honest expression and humility. Cheers.

  • @vg543 Thank you brotha! Very much appreciated!

  • I just dont understand why anyone hates on this guy???? hes not trying to be like every other guy!!! its simple to see! i think he is amazing at what he does and this song proves it!!!!

  • @JosephO75 man you are gay at least hes not like lil wayne or something

  • @PazToTheMan at least lil wayne says shit that makes sense. "I got a very goth towel, a Terry Clark cowel / And when I wear it, I'm a hairy moth owl" Yeah, fuckin poet laureate right there.

  • @JosephO75 naw lil wayne doesnt make sense MC paul Barman keeps it real MF Doom is a legend and he sometimes doesnt make sense... MF Doom says "good googlie did you see that loogie? yea keep it on the D.L. Hughley

  • @PazToTheMan word life. Doom makes sense, it's just that you can look at his lyrics in more than one way. for example "Hey you, got a light? Nah, a bud light / Early in the morning, *face crud* like a mud fight." crazy son

  • @JosephO75

Last lines refer to more than you comprehend.

It's a dense overflowing: "Goth" has several meanings, and "Terry Clark" is a pun on both to the Christian music pioneer and Clark Terry, legendary jazz trumpeter (the obverse). A cowl is a cloak, maybe worn by a monk, which could be made from a terry cloth towel, and when one wears it: they might look like an owl moth (google image it)...

Get hip, or get lost, squarehead.

  • @FungusMossGnosis did you just tell me to get hip or get lost cus i said paul barman sucks? wow lmao

  • @JosephO75

Do ya hear that? I think that's your dinner siren, gentle Eloi; better simply follow your fate, Joseph, K?

  • @JosephO75 waynes rhymes are so intricate and interesting......."Doctor I'm a Dog I'm a Dog I'm a Dog ya

Not Georgetown but I'm a Uptown Hoya"

  • @emcee4CEE If you can't see the sarcasm...you're blind. Anyone who says the same three words, three times, in one line...IS GARBAGE. Wayne is a fucking joke, I think we both agree there.

  • @JosephO75 His rapping is just terrible, i like him but fuck this shit is ridiculous.

  • @emcee4CEE motherfucker wayne sucks imo because he is a punchline rapper and the majority of his punchlines are weak.

  • @JosephO75 I'm so confused, why are you calling me a motherfucker and talking about wayne? Didn't I agree with your comment?

  • Could Somebody Post "Old Paul".....PLEASE n Thank You!!!!

  • @Japoliony Its on my channel,I seriously uploaded it because I read your comment.

  • I heard literaly a couple of seconds of the beat of this song and thought it was so sick that i basically spent the last 4 - 6 hours looking for it and after all that i knew this was it when i found it just from that 2 seconds of ahhhhahhooo oooohoohhw

  • the way i communicate can maske a freakin unich mate

  • Comment removed

  • My favorite track off this album. So dope!

  • their needs to be a instrumental for this????????

  • @ADAtl11 WORD LIFE

  • @JosephO75 WORD FOR LIFE IS RIGHT!

  • woah, this is such a sick track,i accedently came across this video ,

  • Comment removed

  • I've read the name "Barman" too many times and now it's starting to look like "Batman".

  • hahaha "i keep it more gully than john livingston"

  • The experiment dosen't work, this is shit, not funny, not goose pimples not wow, like this guy probaly think he's lyricall phenom. lyrical whackness.

  • "the way I communicate can make a fricking eunuch mate" ....

"I drop gems like I got holes in my pockets"

There's so many good ones in here it's hard to choose.

"I'll rock the mic to silence by john cage"

"like a green paint sprinkler on white grass".

  • this is the funniest jewish white rapper from the early 2000's. that is a really specific category, but seriously he is probably the funniest rapper of all time

  • HOLY FRIJOLES............

  • need this fucking album! I'd forgotten this guy existed, can't be allowed to happen again.

  • some crackhead sends me a message that this mc has more skills then Emzdad..Are you kidding me, this cracker is a little below O.K.

  • 'The way I communicate could amke a friggin eunuch mate'

    Awesome

  • Glen Cambel on the sample

  • iller than the iliad

  • this is fucking horrible

  • @nikeskater416 : please!!! his rhymes are so funny and cool. What r u talking about? Does rap always have to be "hardcore" and "from the hood"? I can listen to his rhymes all day, and the beat/sample is dope too.

  • @freezazoid

i never said hip hop always has to be hardcore or hood..this guy is just fucking terrible. someone made a song indirectly making fun of him and he stopped making albums. "Party Fun Action Committee - Chapstick", look it up. he has such a monotone flow and horrible delivery..i don't know how people like this "music"

  • @nikeskater416 : who cares if someone made fun of him? I've heard of paul barman but i've never heard of chapstick or whatever. barman never was trying to be a "contender" in the rap scene. He was always just trying to be fun and funny. There's a million Nas clones of the world. Not to pick on nas, he's great, but there's a million "great rappers" but no one who does anything different. The song "Loser" by beck, is monotone and no delivery but is fucking fun to listen to and good.

  • @freezazoid

The fact that he's trying to have fun and be funny is hilarious considering someone made one song about him and he stopped making music. I agree on the Nas clones completely with you, theres so many rappers that are "lyrical this and lyrical that", i feel MC Barman is another Nas clone in his own subject. But as Nas said in Ether, "name a rapper that I haven't influenced"..its true. Barmans songs have no true meaning to them..and by the way, Beck fucking sucks.

  • @nikeskater416 : beck isn't that great, I agree... but he's good, and the song Loser has some really great lyrics that don't necessarily mean anything but it's just word play, like barman. What's this song that you keep referencing where someone made fun of Barman so he stopped recording? If he stopped recording, I doubt it's because some unknown dude made fun of him.

  • @freezazoid

I gave you the title of the group and song name..."Party Action Fun Committee - Chapstick" look it up. The whole album is made by two producers from the Def Jux label (Aesop Rock, El-P, ect..) its a spoof on different genres of hip hop. And these guys are much more known than MC Paul Barman, sorry.

  • @nikeskater416 : yes, aesop rock is slightly well more known than barman.. the other guy is not. PLUS, I remember one of barman's tracks played on the radio about 5 years ago or so... I've never heard aesop on the radio (not that that matters). Point is: just because aesop rock thinks being a hip hop clone is cool and makes fun of anybody who does anything different.. doesn't make him right. who gives a shit what aesop rock thinks? I don't.

  • @nikeskater416 : I'll check out the chapstick song though. I'm not a hater... I hope it's good.

  • @nikeskater416 : just checked out "chapstick" that shit was funny and good. Totally did a good job of making fun of barman. But ironically, it's a really good track... he's trying to make fun of barman's style, but comes up with a great track while doing so. Whatevs... barman is, what it is... I think it's fun to listen to, and I have severe ADD, so listening to lyrics is hard for me. It's fun to listen to, maybe you disagree.

  • I got more skills as a rapper and way more talent as a lyricist then this lyrically lame cracker..

  • @emzzdad no need for the cracker remark.

  • @emzzdad : Okay... let's hear one of your lyrics. Or maybe you have something posted online. If you're lyrics are better than this guy I'd love to hear your album. Let me know where I can go to listen to it. (I'm assuming you don't even get half of the lyrics since he sometimes uses big words and references you wouldn't know.)

  • What is the organ/choir sample in the background?

Damn I've been in love with this song since the first time I heard it. I was working at my college radio station (2002?) and I saw this envelope stuck between a stack of CD's and it was labeled in pen PALLELUJAH w/ the tracks list and record co. info. What a lucky find. "I write first person in light verse in a white hearse, I'm the 'ne plus ultra', of B-plus culta' . . . "

  • "I bungee jump, into my grungy dump, and come up with a trust fundy dust bunny spongie clump."

  • SOHCAHTOA LOL MATHS

    Fibonacci

  • @vanilkachill PEMDAS EFX

  • Damn, that's a fucking beat...

  • dopest song on the album :]

  • 'while you're so corny, you gotta SOHCAHTOA' *palm in face*

  • hey does anyone know where the best place to listen to his song i'm frikin awesome?

  • @kitty1kat1pur : Last FM?

  • @1001000111 yeh i checked out last fm it didn't have it, it kept coming up with his other work :(

  • cant stop listening to this...

  • Paul Barman does what he does to experiment. He doesn't need or want your approval, naysayers. What's dope about him is he knows he's dope without swag and what he's saying makes you listen He's not Eminem or Lil Wayne and he doesn't try to be. While both are good/accomplished emcees in their own right their styles can be duplicated. The same can't be said for Paul Barman. There was a time when individuality was seen as a plus in rap music but I guess I'm too old and out of touch, lol.

  • oh my god i love you

  • @PluggyBear Real talk.

  • @PluggyBear

MC Paul Barman original...? Ever hear of Adeem? This guy is an Adeem rip off, except with a slow, boring flow.

  • @PluggyBear Well said Pluggy.

  • @PluggyBear

MC Paul Barman wouldn't exist if it weren't for "weird" rappers like Aesop Rock, MF Doom, Slug, ect..he's not that creative or original at all, lol.

  • @nikeskater416 Aesop is choppy and cryptic. He's NEVER straightforward. MF Doom is a studio junkie and Slug is emo. How did the existence of these rappers influence Barman's creativity? Barman IS straightforward even if you don't always get the popculture or literary references. Barman only did four albums. MF Doom(MadVillan or MadLib, Viktor Vaughn, Zeb Love X all inclusive) has too many to name. Barman rarely sounds depressing. Try and get through an Atmosphere album without a down track....

  • @PluggyBear

You know how hip hop used to be pro-black? Or how rapping subject was either about where the rapper came about, or how good the rapper was at rapping. Plenty of "indie" hiphop artists broke this barrier a long time ago and made the pathway for rappers like Barman. I'm not saying they sound a like, i'm saying if it wasn't for indie artists like them who everyone considered "weird" or "nerdy" when they came out, Barman would have never seen the light of day as an artist.

  • @PluggyBear i actually still believe mc's should be individual because it gets played out hearing the same things over and over, which is why underground is appreciated.

  • @PluggyBear im 14 years old and i know what you are saying

  • SICK BEAt

  • @EurakiTheGreat doom's secret herbs are basically all awesome.

  • hell yeah, this isnt on dooms special herbs tho is it, which track?

  • It's not on Special Herbs, it wasn't produced by DOOM. To my knowledge there is no instrumental version of this out anywhere, but you can maybe try to contact Phofo (the real producer) to get more information.

  • yeah i didnt think this sounded like metal fingers

  • @emmettmethven Someone posted earlier in the comments. The sample is from

Bobby Vinton - Please Love Me Forever

  • make you go HOLY FRIJOLES!! haha love that

  • keep it more gully than Jonathan Livingston is classic.

  • Yo Paul,,can you help me...Emzdad

  • i will slap the shit right out of you

  • i Love This Song i Wish There Was A Way To Get The Instrumental

    [] + []

  • dude said i catch wreck like a tow truck...

  • great song

  • what a bullshit!

    this dude IS funny man!

    that's his style
