I discovered their music on RB3 RN DLC actually. They have about 10 or so up for dlc and I grabbed them all as they are some of the best songs on ALL of RB songs ( yes, I break stress with a plastic toy guitar even at 37 ), and they are great for a metal rock opera sound, some of the guitar parts are quite difficult too. I am a fan just from that alone, and I dont get to listen to music much. Start with Snowmaiden if you dlc any, I think its the easiest of the 2 album samples they have up.

Her voice is beautiful,it's not crap at all. And metal sounds good with opera. It makes it sound beautiful, dark and mystical, it just depends on what type of metal.

And just because other metal bands choose classical singers doesent mean they're copying NightWish, they're stil doing their own thing.

It seems that is hard to get out from this stencil, a voice can do this, like in The Gathering(now I'm talking about all the music) or just the way they sing, like Tiamat, but this simphonic power bullshit female fronted metal it seems to be so atractive, if you search Magica or Vespera, romanian bands, you'll say they sound as Nightwish or whatever,why can't they do music that sounds as nothing else or almost like 10 bands togheder :D.
