  • were lost, but then when you hear this song for the first time, you enter a new dimension and realize the meaning of life. and then you get lost again until you hear it once more and it repeats. until life becomes a cycle of the moon light sonata and being lost in life

  • watching the moon, leaving a tear. feeling alone, being alone..

while the moon watches you two..too..

never realized three.. they never saw me..then i fell, and expired but the dream had no end

  • How to make your brain explode:

    Step 1:

Listen to this song until the end.

    Step 2:

    Listen to this: watch?v=-ou_7LfrZu8

  • mysterious, listen carefully and be alone ..it means more than a few notes..

  • Once I could compose music like this. And then I took an arrow to the knee.

  • @Mychro16 love this skyrim viral quotes about a week i read in every categorial videos :)

  • I Just want to say this song is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. It can be sad, dark, thrilling, suspenseful and just mysterious! they way he is hitting this notes just send a chill down my spine when I listen to this. It's amazing how music in the past can still move you certain ways isn't? makes you wonder who was more advance in music when a long like this is being played does it not?

  • I agree bouncer-man...best piece of music ever :)

  • This is my favorite piece of music ever. I am a college defensive tackle and bounce at a bar on weekends I don't care what people say or what they think I am no follower. Classical is the most moving music there ever was. I listen to all genres, excluding rap except for a few songs, I mean I love thrasher metal and all but this is the best piece ever. Nuff said.

  • what movement is this? #1?

  • I feel the same as well. When you limit yourself to one genre you can't fully experience music. There are many similarities in all types of genres. People who say they don't like classical just because the don't want to look like a nerd are just foolish and negligent.

  • Long Live "Shadow Man"!

  • I heard this is my music class and all i heard was laughing i love this and a lot of people do but my generation doesnt care. Which they should!

  • @wowgirl225

I agree! I'm 16 and really love Rock, but I also like classic and operas. I think everybody should be open to every genre. It's really a beautyful song and if you think that there is just an instrument playing, then it's even better.

  • @mangalovergirl1 I can totally second that. My friends are always amazed when I tell them that I like rock and indie as well as folk, jazz, or classic. I think that you can find masterpieces in every genre, and it's always beautiful and astonishing to discover commonalities between the different genres. I do not judge people who are totally into one single genre, but personally I feel that it is great to be open-minded and listen to a wide range of musical styles.

  • hermosoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Me duele tanto.

  • 28 DISLIKE???????? MONSTERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • PERFECTO!

  • Jill Valentine could play itas good as this version :-D

  • Every song falls into my ear, bringing it joy. As you can see, there is a sad part, then it continues with hope, sad continues, and hope. This jonction is lovely!

  • Greatest song made by man.

  • I found Peace in this song..

  • Your girlfriend died darknamy?

  • So many memories closed in this song, I remember you used to play this Moonlight Sonata first, just for me, I remember clearly how happy I used to be by your side, sitting beside the piano and hearing every single note, everything was beautiful...even your mistakes... but now you're gone and all that remains is the memory... closed in this song... I will never forget you

  • I listen to this when i'm alone and i'm always alone =(

  • @Itadakiimasu You have my compassion, it sucks to be alone.

  • @Itadakiimasu Forever alone...

  • @Junije1 =(

  • @Junije1

    trloloooooo

  • @Itadakiimasu I'll be your friend, add me brah :D

  • @Itadakiimasu Why?

  • @Itadakiimasu you are forever alone :D

  • i need a smoke...

  • Great typing music.

  • I listen to this song when Im in a negative mood. Usually when I am fustrated. For some reason, I feel relieved.

Would this be wierd if you played this for your funeral?

Oh, Im learning to play this. HARD!!!!!

  • music from the game Resident Evil 1 the first survival horror game

  • I want this song played at my funeral.

  • How people can dislike this?

  • I listen to this every night before I go to sleep. Gazing out at the moon while listening to this sounds corny, but it's so... serene.

  • @Hero5352 I with you! Never say that sounds corny again. I listen to this before going to sleep as well. If I could see the moon from my window I would do the same. U are cool with me Hero.

  • @kairosmaxima Well, thanks! :)

  • So beautiful!

  • pure satisfaction....

  • I think this song is loved by everyone...no matter what type of music they prefer.

  • @sixorganssevenyears

that is true. im a 80's rock person but this never grows old.

  • i like it. even if i usually listen to metal

  • @Celticers I usually listen to hiphop (like the underground type, not the mainstream lil wayne bullshit) and dubstep, and i still think this is awesome

  • not even half a million views for a beautiful piece of music like this...people don't know good music anymore.

  • i got here from halo reach...well great song btw i love it and will always love it

  • Prince Rutherford,

Dolphin was responding to another post & preaching from the pulpit. He/she was telling othewrs that they are blind to the truth.

Perhaps you should take your own advice and respect my opinion as well. I wasn't calling anyone an idiot. I was simply informing Dolphin that the complexities of life are not created by chance or accident. Stating that "God did it" is simply an archaic God of the Gaps theory.

  • this has always been my favorite classical song

  • Dolphin,

Humans create Gods and Music. Please educate yourself on the complexities of life on this planet. You will soon realize that it's a lot more complex that simply stating "God did it!"

  • @Nooner27 Please educate yourself on something called respecting others' opinions. You will soon realize it's a lot more complex than implying "You're an idiot for not agreeing with my beliefs!"

  • One of man's best pieces ever!!!

  • "God is immaterial; as he is invisible. He can, therefore, have no form. But from what we are able to perceive in His works we conclude that He is eternal, almighty, omniscient, and omnipresent. The Mighty One, He alone is free from all desire or passion. There is no greater than He...His mind is self-existent. He, the Almighty, is present in every part of space." - Ludvig Van Beethoven

Most of man's greatest achievements were made by people who believed in a universal God. Coincidence?

  • Can´t understand why 13 ppl don´t like this........

  • I want to know who are the 13 dumbasses that disliked this masterpeice !!!

  • 777 Comments... Dang, I hate to be the guy to break that number. But I simply must say that this piece is Heavenly. When I die, I will request that this be played at my deathbed so I can leave earth with a little bit of Heaven to take with me.

    God Bless.

  • @Hero5352 You won't notice the difference if they play "Sugar Baby Love" from the Rubettes, will you?

  • Beautifully played! Thank you polosia for the uploading!

  • i LOVE this!!!

  • Worm Jim 2, Level 3 8)

  • This sonata moves me in ways I cannot describe, there's just something about it

  • Simply AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 13 people are fallen angels :D

  • I loved....very much

  • How could anyone dislikes this..?!?

  • Inmortal...

  • I Loved...

  • I'm a Metalman, and i love this Sonata, Sieg Heil Beethoven

  • @ConfluxTown

    Me too!That song rocks!\m/

  • i wish it always rains when i listen to this...........

  • The right pace.

  • i never liked classical but hen i heard beethovens music i really liked it

  • Excruciatingly exquisite

  • one of favorite takes of this number

  • 0:04 I was kinda freaked out by that high g sharp

  • TROLL ALERT.

Why debate about "God" When we can all agree, Beethoven was a God of his own art, his own music?

Deaf, and capable of creating music that still moves hearts, more than 150 years in the future.

Makes you wonder, don't it? ^^

  • @UroborosTheSnake Amen ;)

  • @UroborosTheSnake beethoven was deaf? are you 100%sure?

  • @TheStfu1000 Totally. That's one of the reasons he's so damned famous! Deaf as a Bat!

In ears only, Not so in musical brilliance.

  • @TheStfu1000 Beethoven went deaf by about 1817.

  • @UroborosTheSnake I can see God in that; in the same thing atheists they see the absence of God. Both feelings are of equal magnificence.

  • @alberteddu What I mean is: the great thing about all this is that yes, this music is not a reason to debate. It's a great splendor that people with different beliefs may have in common. And yes, it makes me wonder. :)

  • I love how all of the comments are about theology and not concerning western concert music

  • gracias

  • I think this song is perfect.

  • Music to me, is a spiritual experience. If you don't feel it inside you. You have no place playing or listening to it. -Brookln amor

  • It's blasphemous to talk about God on a Beethoven video. Comments should just be disabled.

  • @EliasJordan3 Cheer up you fascist. God can't stand people like you anyway.

  • @EliasJordan3 Cheer up you fascist. God can't stand people like you anyway.

  • our standard of music has gotten pretty low. the top hits on billboards now are all pop and singing and country....but do they ever think about these beautiful pieces?

  • well I'm 20 just got into Beethoven two days ago n from the hardcore deeath metal to this omg this is so beautiful I wish I could have every piece he wrote on replay in my mind just hearing g this I am going to take up the piano and learn this just so I can replay it over an over I don't wanna listen to n e thing else I'm totally in love with this music o n at the Guy who got a boner lol nice it is really peaceful huh lmfao y'all have a good dayO:-)

  • no joke... this song gave me a boner

  • This is so emotional! classic music has those emotions... techno doesn`t, pop doesn`t, pop has only the words with emotions, but this is beautiful. Every note has an influence on your feeling...

  • my grandson enjoys listen to this music while winding down at night.

  • It's good to listen when it's raining :)

  • The song was in the short film by Kanye West called "we were once a fairytale"

  • The music seems to compliment the art in a delicate virtuosity that flow from element to element. Beautiful.

  • Dunno about you guys but Beethoven>Mozart

  • @echobears I respectfully disagree.

    Mozart > Schubert > Beethoven.

  • @HerlockSholmes123 Thanks for keeping it civilized haha. I'm a bit of a noob classically, what do you recommend I listen to Mozart and Schubert wise that might help me see the light?

  • @peoplestringsocial if you dont believe in God than I have to question your sanity.

  • @DeandresPerez1991 I feel completely sane when I say I do not believe in God. Someone who doesn't believe in God is just as sane as the person next to them praying peace for their soul.

  • I think God is inside all of us. Moreover you dont have to believe in God and be much be better humman than others who claim that they believe.

  • I can almost play the whole song, just a small part missing, but I always play it too fast... xD

  • TUUUUUUUUUUUNING DEVICE anybody??

  • This is one of the best versions I ever heard!

Nice adagio sostenuto which means "slow and sustained." It occasionally implies a slowing of tempo, though more often it refers to a very legato style in which the notes are performed in a sustained manner beyond their normal values.

  • Resident Evil memories... ahhh.

  • this song is in my favorite book, Kissed by an Angel, and im going to use it for a project in school :) <3

  • It is almost a fantasy

  • sehr schön

  • oh. beautiful *-*♥

  • if only i could play as brilliant as he did, truly a master amongst men.

  • @crywolf30 you mean met no meet you fail as well :p

  • I am sixty one years old and I have been listening classical music for forty years,This is my daily bread.Thank to god for this gift!

  • @Alecs1950 Don't thank god; thank the human mind.

  • @PeopleStringSocial Thanks the human mind iluminnated by Holly Spirit

  • @Alecs1950 I don't mean to be offensive, but why do you believe in god? Nothing, nowhere, has ever given any sign of the existence of a god.

    I ask of interest.

  • @PeopleStringSocial Dear Sir,Did you ever see the human mind, the human thougts ,the love, the electric power?Because there are invisible, "they do not exist?

  • @PeopleStringSocial you alone is evidence of god,you are god,god is you.one doesn't exist without the other.

  • @bannanachops wow. that does not make sence to me.

  • @PeopleStringSocial What kind of proof are you looking for?

  • @Elainelps0421 I do not believe in god, no one knows anything about him. There for i can't say which form the proof can come in, but so far; no proof, nor a slight indication of his existence has ever existed.

  • @PeopleStringSocial

The human mind was created as a gift for humans. Unfortunately, some misuse it and even abuse it. Do you honestly think everything that goes on in this universe is just by chance? Far too much complexity in all things to be created by accident. There are clues my dear friend.. you are simply too blind to see them.

  • wow just wow , im proud to say that i can play this on guitar and learned it by ear. . it took an hour but it was worth it .Now i really appreciate this music more because when i play it i get good feelings going through me , Beethoven was a genius and was very good at creating beautiful music while still going deaf . - Antonio

  • ask that guy with the glasses ftw

  • Crimen Sollicitationis

  • the most beautiful piece of music ever written! man i wish i could have meant beethoven

  • @firefox1021 Please dont tell me you think that the past tense of "meet" is spelled "meant"... you live in the US for christs sake! English is your first language!

  • I believe this is the greatest piece of classical music mankind has ever achieved.

  • fuck resident evil

    Beautiful, just stunning.

  • magnifique...Ludwig Van Beethoven

  • beautiful,!!!!! what is the name of the piece of art??
