This album was so underrated to me! It doesn't matter that he is white and country. he spittin from his heart and he's talented! It sucks that people can't get past the physical and geographical to give credit where its do. This was a classic album hands down
This song is one of my favorites, all of these up and coming rappers want to sing the same verse over and over for 4 and a half minutes and i guess that is what people like now, good music and lyrics are gone, its saddening, Bubba needs to make a comeback with his oldies
Looking back at Hip-Hop of the 90's and 00's, there are amazing lyricists that breakthru with fantastic alubms like Bubba Sparxxx's "Deliverance" and Eminem's "Infinite".
Once in the game, its all about the cash-flow. Authenticity suffers.
Its like a limited time window for authentic hip-hop. The best hip-hip music is made when artists are still trying to breakout, before they are negatively influenced by the industry and overwhelming expectations.
How did this album only sold some 400 000 copies? It's obviously to anyone with a half function brain that this album is better then 90% of the shit comming out today. Not taking Bubba Sparxxx serious as a rapper just becuase he's white is painfully retarded.
@narrator89 not at all, alot of people love white rappers, the people that dont like rappers because of skin color are the fuckin fakes, and all the fakes are usually prissy girls and the guys who think their the shit
@IAmUnique678 yo i agree bubba jus went commercial after his first album i LOVEd his 1st album.. and honestly after i heard "Miss new booty" i didnt even pay to much attention to hhim no more that was a stab to the heart for me but thats him i guess but real talk damn that... with that said i still LoVe this song it took me threw some real and ruff times...1
I feel like this was the realest album Babba did and I love it. If more people could come as real as he did we could save some part of hip hop and raise the next generation to think and feel with REAL SWAG!
I'd fully agree with whats been said about this album being slept on. I have yet to find ANY track, regardless of genre reach out to me as this one has. I'll admit, the vast majority of hip-hop songs I've honestly been unable to relate to, based upon the fact simple that I didn't grow up in the harsh urban realm. Bubba's experiences however, reflect more along the lines of what I've faced growing up, and so yeah, I CAN relate to "five fishsticks on a plate".
I seriously cannot believe this has only been viewed 18,276 times....it's an epic tune and deserves waaay more attention. I guess Vetter07 is right, most people would rather listen to generic "hip-pop" rubbish than put the effort in and find lesser marketed (yet far better!) tunes like this one.
i really thought the deliverance cd was slept on. There was good material on the cd. this song is so dope i wish someone would create a choreo to this song
TO CJAC5 : thank you very much, i spend a lot of time in thailand, and as a german-blond-hair-woman you "meet" a lot of thai-people they don`t skeak your language... so guy, no chance without english... ...please wait ... i know -french- is a language who everybody talks (or stuff like that)... (if you know what I mean)....
@Vetter07 True that...I miss real hip hop.....hip hop died in the late 90's. we only have a handfull of lyricist left....but the underground still got plenty. especially in Cincinnati..
favorite song ever from bubba sparxxx. i can still remember walkin wit my hoody on late nights with my head down, head phones blazin this mo fukka right here. was a young'n. classic track tho. got me thru hard times. good post
Yeah this song is very therapeutic! It got me through some hard times too. I used to just drive and drive and listen to this on repeat That's Kiley Dean getting down at the end I believe. She is hella talented as well
