@mochax...he was not in an offside position when the ball was played, he looked offside when he recieved it but that is not the criteria for offside, you have to be in an offside position the moment the ball/pass is struck. Stop the video at the moment when the pass was made and you will see that yakubu was onside which is why the kenyan players did not protest the goal...they knew he was onside.
@Gidz69: Even if that goal was counted out, it would have been 2-2. Kenya would have still been out, and Eagles would have qualified. So relax. Wait for a better luck next time. Happy new year.
All I can say is Go Super Eagles!! All the best in the world cup. You deserved it. As for the Harambee stars well done for putting a strong fight and i enjoyed watching the match.
Nigeria still remain's the only team to to loss any game fron start to finish at this world cup qualifiers. that alone shows the quality of the team. the only problem is that to much is expexted of the team at all time.
dihundeyin i agree totally with you. and i would also like to point out that the second goal was NOT offside. when makinwa shot the ball, yakubu was ONSIDE. he just recieved the ball in an offside position. kenyan reporters are just annoyed at the prospect of not qualifying for the AFCON 2010
Dude your team lost, and you had nothing much to play for anyway. Get over yourself or at least keep the vitriol out of the description. Whether it was 6-0 or 3-2, a win is a win, and for a team which regularly rubs shoulders with the world's best, I daresay there was much more at stake than a silly little rivalry which only exists in your mind. Grow up.
Dennis Oliech is one of the best strikers in Africa. The guy has great strength n SPEED.
