I know people say that Clark's exit is supposed to simulate how people would actually see it but I think they are just justifying it. It's obvious it is an editing mistake, in which they forgot to show him speeding away and putting in the full "whooshing" sound.
@mattymacg09 But imho this is the best way, I saw Clark disappear. Okay, when he is running through Metropolis it's difficult to show, where he is, if they go this way. But I'm no big fan of these "whooshes". Even if they make the audience aware of, what he is actually doing. Anyway: great scene. Even reagard to the content. ;)
Such a beautiful scene. What really completes it is Clark's exit. In every other display of his speed, you hear a "whoosh!" as he arrives or leaves to accentuate the speed of his motion but here, because the viewer is seeing it from the hidden Lana's point of view we experience his super speed as an observer.
When I first watched this episode I was like "Yes, Finally Lana knows clark secret" and when Lana marries Lex I was like "Hey, that is so not fair on the day she finds out his secret this is how it ends!"
lol, i just found out that Clark (Tom) the first time in the wine cellar says "letting Lana go..."... and the second time, when Lana is in the scene hiding behind, he says "giving up Lana...". It's no big deal, but it's still funny how they didn't notice that, lol
What epsiode is this from because I am catching up on Smallville and I have never actually seen the epsiodes where Lex and Lana find out about his powers and I want to find out who knew his secret first and what episode it was all in.
because we were seeing it from Chloe's point of view. They only show the blur sometimes on SV so we can see where he is...it's not what we'd actually see if we were standing in front of him because he goes so fast...people would notice if you could actually see a red and blue blur going by lol
I knew what you meant...but I was just trying to get the point across that if we were Chloe we wouldn't see anything so that's what they were showing us...
the human eye in the smallville universe can't see him "blur" so it's showing lana's POV as a previous poster stated. It's far from stupid, it's logical.
she had suspicions for a whil, but im pretty sure what encouraged her was events in crimson-ex stabbed clark with and iron bar and it bent-- in trespass-clark appears out of nowhere to save her from a fall (she is conscious)-aswell as freak-a boy that can detect meteor freaks reveals his suspicion about someone in the room(clark and chloe)- these are the three eps that aired before this clips ep
could a die hard smallville fan tell me just around what time Lana started suspecting Clark was "special" ...cuz she deliberately locked Chloe in the cooler, she knew she would be okay
there's not really a specific episode that i can think of. she's kinda always knew there was something since the tornado in the first/second seasons, but as the show went on..she just started suspecting more and more. then she finally put it together. i really think she would have found out before chloe bc chloe never knew anything until alicia told her. i love this show lol
thanx! :) i watched smallville til when they went to college, then i started not liking it...but i do remember that Alicia more showed Chloe that Clark was "super"...me personally I think Lana shoulda put it together a while ago
I also think she could have found out sooner. But the auhors always managed to put her (and Lex for that matter) off track. Either by making them "forget" what they've seen or my making Clark vulnerable at the right moment.
I wouldn't say Chloe suspected nothing. She had a "potential meteor freak" on Clark and there were several times when Calrk had to force her to back off, because she came to close to the truth.
DJDoena: I agree. I think I used the wrong word choice for what I was was trying to say. What I was saying was that Lana put a plan together in the scene above to catch Clark. Chloe never thought to do that. She just always used her intelligence and reporter-talent to try to figure it out..which led her nowhere bc she never found out on her own. But yes you are right, they both suspected since episode 1.
Giving up Lana is the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life. If you don't know that then you don't know me very well.

I like they left out the effects when he supersped away. It shows how fast he actually is.
Lana is a sneaky broad

why did lana locked Chloe in? (i never seen season 1-6 before)

she planned the whole thing. She knew something was up with clark since a while back. It is a shame you didnt watch the entire show.

Why does it say CW on the bottom of the screen when Smallville airs on AXN here in Israel?
rocky0713a 3 years ago
Smallville doesn't originally air in Israel. It airs on CW in America.

Yes I know it airs on CW originally WB in America.
Here in Israel it airs on AXN

Then you should know why there is a "CW" at the bottom of the screen.
