It's a teaser trailer, IIRC, they don't/shouldn't show you a lot of stuff about the game in a teaser.

I just watched Uncharted 3 teaser the other day, it was 30 seconds long with just camera moving around some sort of office or something of the sort.

from what i heard, the combat system in this game is turn-based like Persona 3 (which, incidentally, is also from Atlus), but unlike Persona 3 Portable, it actually includes cutcenes that involves the actual sprites of characters and animated scenes instead of the visual novel style cutscenes that are present in P3P. (not that i'm dissing P3P; i've played it for 8 months and i STILL hasn't gotten bored of it yet)

They are, in the olden days games like this would only be known on hardcore gamer boards and unknown to the rest of the world. I really don't think there is such things as games that stay national anymore, everything seems to find itself on the national market. Dubbing and translation quality have also steadily increased.

ok so i am hearing alot about the gameplay. the gameplay is a turn based system. however with simple controls it makes the gameplay seem a lot faster. What makes this game truly interesting is the fact that you will play to completely different stories at completely different areas.

I played the Japanese one and it was extremely good i recommend this one to everyone when it comes stateside

I completely agree. If I want to watch anime, I'll put in a DVD. I don't mind anime FMVs in games, but when the commercial shows nothing BUT the FMV and not the actual game, it's disappointing.

Still, I'd rather watch this anime FMV in a commercial since it has more to do with the actual game--more than is shown on TV game commercials. A typical Playstation commercial on TV will show some morons doing something very stupid for 26 seconds, show the actual game for 3 seconds, and then show the Playstation logo for one second. Dumb.

Nostalgia bringing me back to PS and PS2 days, sweet! Just wish the Lunar series would come out for the PSP. To have the dragon (that looked like a cat with wings) shout "Alex" on the hill was the way they pulled me into the series. Here is to hoping :)

I have seen gameplay footage of this right here on Youtube. I am not impressed. It looks awful and having one of the two main characters giggling duing battle is incredibly off-putting. I do not want this game, and I was hoping Atlus would pass this up for the next Sting game that took a few risks, like their last few titles, Baroque or Knights in the Nightmare, did.

Shin Megami Tensei titles like Persona 2, 4 and Digital Devil Saga were great in presenting mature, relatable characters and, for the most part, let you control groups of adults instead of the usual teenagers and younger kids that muck about. There is not enough of that these days, and I hope the JRPG has a few more games made for older demographics in the future.
