  • or also you can use vos=you (informal)

  • Como es bitch

  • remeber when you say "y inteligente" "y" and "i" have the same pronunciation so you can't say "Y Inteligente" you should say "E inteligente"; "soy alto e inteligente", you can't use "Y" when the next sound it's the same, in this case "i" remeber, the pronunciation of "y" changes so u have to study.

  • Any hope I can speak Spanish fluently ?? Or at least understand !! Encourage me /:

  • @Sy00f Of course you will!, learning another language is a matter of practice like everything else. Try for instance watching UNIVISION which is a TV channel that way you'll get used to the sound of the words. Repetition and reinforcement is very important as well. You could also try to learn songs. Don't get frustrated if you do not understand at the beginning. Reading helps too. I am Mexican and it has taken me a lot of time to learn English and I still am making mistakes.

  • @Sy00f if you like you can practice your spanish with me I´m a native spanish speaker

  • Sweetheart you're not even close to be a "morena". A hairstyle-ist could help you to become a morena... meanwhile you're amarillo

  • @Mircea020 hahahahaaahaha that made me laugh

  • It's really not clear from these videos that there are dozens more available free at SpanishDict's website

  • Arg I can't remember so many words in 7 minutes! Soy estúpido!

  • @sukoskamilo

Si si, gracias por tu ayuda!

  • Can someone tell me the difference between:

    Estoy and yo soy..

Because they both mean 'i am' right!?

For example- como esta - 'estoy' muy bien gracias..

    And

Como es - 'yo soy' alto...

They both mean 'i am' right? So what's the difference?

  • @untissify yes... but is not the same thing

  • @untissify

I am italian and we use those sentences in the same way. "Estoy" it's not "i am", "yo soy" is. If you ask "como esta" you are saying: "how are you doing", litterally would be: "how are you staying"

  • @untissify

-¿Como esta?- La respuesta adecuada sería -Estoy bien, gracias- sin el MUY.

espero haberte ayudado ya que mi lengua nativa es el español ;)

  • IN ENGLISH "TO BE" IS USED FOR TWO VERBS, BUT IN SPANISH "SER" y "ESTAR" ARE TWO DIFERENT VERBS. YOU CAN´T USE "TO BE" IF YOU SPEAK IN SPANISH BECAUSE IN SPANISH ALL VERBS ARE DIFERENT, AND NEVER USE ONE WITH TWO SIGNIFICATES.

    YO SOY= I AM

"YO ESTOY" is not equal than YO SOY, "YO ESTOY" IS RELATIONED WITH A PLACE THAT I AM PLACED example: YO ESTOY EN EL CINE = I AM AT THE CINEMA but you can´t say YO SOY EN EL CINE... you never listening that from an spanish people

  • @MaguilaHyde I hate it how spanish people always put caps!

  • @MaguilaHyde And In English, most people don't use caps. It looks weird.

  • @untissify YO SOY, is used to describe oneself. example: yo soy alto, yo soy moreno etc.

ESTOY is used to mark the place where you are. example: estoy en mi casa, estoy en el patio, etc. Or to indicate what you are doing in the present. example: estoy trabajando , estoy estudiando, estoy tocando piano etc. you can't say "yo soy estudiando" , "yo soy tocando piano", "yo soy en mi casa", that's wrong. but you can say "estoy moreno" or "estoy alto". the explanation in the next commentary.

  • @untissify you can say "soy morena" when your natural color is brunette. you can say "estoy morena" when your natural color is white, but after going to the beach and sunbathing, you were brunette. therefore, in this context "YO SOY", corresponds to saying that you're always so. and "YO ESTOY" corresponds to how you feel or are in the present.

sorry for my English, but I'm learning. =)

  • I'll just translate for those who need translations: morena= dark skinned OR brunette Como es..?= How is..? OR what is...like? (same thing) El es impaciente= he is impatient El es perezoso= He is lazy Ella es desordenada= she is disoriented Ella es maleducada= she is bad-mannered El es gordo= he is fat Ella es baja= She is short El es alto= he is tall Ella es joven= she is young El es mayor- he is old ella es rubia= she is blonde It's all in the pictures :p
  • Maybe if she told me what those spanish words actually mean and not just show a vague picture, i could learn. el es peresozo, is that lazy, alseep or what???

  • @123222jonny1 it means he is lazy

  • What do u mean by pamanos?

  • @ryan3209828028578 She is not saying panamos. She is saying vamanos which means Let's go, or Come on. :)

  • What does pamanos mean?

  • dumb

  • morena means brunette tape it on google images to know

  • Comment removed

  • brunette can also mean BROWN-HAIRED

  • really good teacher

    made learning spanish much easier

  • Wait I'm confused. In the first video she said "Estoy" means "I am", now she is saying "Yo Soy" or "Soy". Does the phrasing of "I am" change depending on the conversation?

  • @TheVerbalshade there are three spanish verbs for "to be": ser (yo soy, tu eres..), estár (yo estoy, tu estás...) and hay

  • @TheVerbalshade You can say both and they mean the same thing. The meaning of "I am" does not change depending on the conversation. Both of these words are right.(Estoy and Soy).

  • @TheSuperChorizero

    brown is marrón or café

  • google translate says Yo Soy Morena means I am Black.

  • morena means brown wtf ?

  • For those of you who are interested in learning and are getting confused with all the BS posted here:

    moreno/a means tan, brunette, dark-skinned.

For some Latin Americans and Mexicans residing in the US, moreno/a is usually used to refer to a black person because the word negro/a can have an insulting connotation in this country.

thumbs up so people can see it.

  • @KP23anda I believe Luis Suarez discovered this the hard way

  • @KP23anda

so you'r saying "moreno" means black male and "morena" means a black female in spanish at america right?

because i dont live at america and when the spanish class time in my university comes up i herd from the prof saying "negro" and he ment black color and i have american friends, thinking if i said that word in spanish to them it will offend them..so i was like "that prof is racist and he didnt gave us a diffrent meaning"

  • woow esta muy bueno el video, te felicito , eres una muy buena maestra.

te deseo lo mejo de mundo y sigue asi, que el español es re facil. si tienes preguntas solo avisame, ok?

  • thanks ^^

  • @TheSuperChorizero smarty pants you do brunette means brown hair just is faster to say i'm brunetter rather than i have brown hair... thats why for brunette you use morena..

  • Thanks for the videos! Keep it up! :)

  • Her pronunciation annoys me

  • Great lesson! I've learned the numbers and colors all through my life, so a lesson like this, which goes beyond kindergarten, is very useful. A note to the racist pigs below: stop watching Spanish videos if you're going to just make racist comments. Rosa, amarillo, negro, blanco, who cares what your color is? Get a life.

  • spanish is for spics so go back to your country and speak your fucken language cock suckers

  • @tonymarie1984 As Spanish is the most spoken language in the world, it would seem you are the one who is out of place. Maybe fuck off back too your own country? Dumb ass.

  • @HitmanJones09 Im in my country, and if spanish is the most spoken language im pretty sure english is the first language, well not for spics cause they cant learn simple things like that with out bitching and whining about it. Btw how can you speak spanish its white peoples language too or do i need to explain history too you aswell you fucken idiot.

  • @tonymarie1984 History, wow please continue I really want too show everyone how stupid people like you who try to be clever over the internet actually are. Stupid remarks like "Im in my country", though clearly sarcasm, accentuate just how shallow minded you are; where's your originality, you are so fake. REPLY. I DARE YOU!!!

  • @HitmanJones09 The only thing over accentuated is what we let you think you have, #2 the spanish conquistadors were white that brought the spanish language to your people, So yes spanish is a white language not a vato wanna be thug who cant even recognize his own history is even his. next you'll tell me that mexicans lived here in the 1400's and not incas, myans, and aztecs but too you those cultures of are different forms of your ancestry which is complete bullshit.

  • Could you please, say every sentence in english after you say it in spanish. Like you did in 1.1 spanish lesson. please!!

  • Soy morena y artistica????

  • i think the camera is down some bit up it to see you face to face lool

  • why do u use the informal word when Talking to someone younger than you

  • @TheSaldonator in spanish u use informal word when you talk with a friend or someone younger than you, or u can use informal with an older person only if you are very close to him-her

  • SpanishDictdotcom lol sounds like SpanishDickdotcom

  • @Sakedrinker007 and never from the islands or something... 'cause you gonna get bad habits... just try to find out on google the difference between the accents... I'm from barcelona and even I speak CATALAN too, (We have more languages than spanish but, officiaL, SPANISH) I don't even have an accent so... just check it out...that's my advice... hope you get it : )

  • @Sakedrinker007 something like that... there are word we don't say (in spain) like... ÉL ES GORDO....we always say: Él ESTÁ gordo.. but then we say "él es mayor, ella es rubia, nosotros somos malos"...

for example, "él está gordo" we say it like that because it a circunstance, then, being smart or bad is something that you are and gonna be.... we will understand you anyway.

but, my advice is that you learn with someone from SPAIN I that's posible for u, and never from south spain. (Though accent

  • This is good

  • What's the brunette? Brown??

  • @bellalinablume My first language is spanish ok? you can't correct me yanki de mierda :)

  • @SomePinkGirl hahahahaha how rude you are! i'm being diplomatic by saying you're wrong Ms. "it's my first language', I'm spanish myself so i think I know what i'm talking about, i'm not telling you how to speak your own language I think; morena can mean darkie, yes, but it can also be used to speak about the colour of someone's hair meaning brunette :)

  • @bellalinablume watevah

  • @SomePinkGirl Moreno(a) means brown. Know what you're talking about before you comment.

  • @Natural8o9Reborn I'm spanish don't try to correct me. brown is marrón and moreno means darky of the person. You can't say moreno to a thing. you idiot

  • @SomePinkGirl Then youre a stupid mexican. You can say "Yo soy moreno."

  • @Natural8o9Reborn no I'm argentinian and I'm white. tipical fat american who thinks that only mexicans speak spanish lol. go to eat your burgers fatty

  • @SomePinkGirl Soy de Jalisco, Mexico.

  • @Natural8o9Reborn entonces muerete negro

  • @SomePinkGirl

Actually you're the one who is wrong. In Spain especially, morena means brunette.

  • @KP23anda but in here not. so you're right if u're there. And I'm right if I'm here. Get it? lol :) both right. now shut up

  • @SomePinkGirl

You need to learn some manners before you attempt to teach anyone anything of value. If you learned basic grammar it wouldn't hurt you either.

  • @KP23anda asdasdasdadasd

  • I'm a Spanish teacher and ¿Como es? is incorrect!! You should ask, ¿Como es usted?

  • Depende del español que aprendas, España, Argentina, México...

  • Nosotros nunca decimos "yo soy artística/artistico" pero muy buen video, igualmente. :) Pd: Soy española, de Barcelona.

  • haha gordo

  • We are more than 400 million Spanish NATIVE speakers, more than NATIVE English speakers. Most of the English speakers nowadays ARE NOT native. I love when non Spanish speakers try to learn Spanish. I have taught Spanish in England and the United States and is very rewarding after a school year your students are speaking the language. The Spanish language does not belong to any Spanish-speaking country, the best Spanish is spoken only by people who have had the best education.

  • @pemori and this shows how ignorant YOU are. I learned English by myself in a matter of year, and with British accent. People can't tell I'm not from England. So screw you. If you're an idiot, you can have the best tutors in the world but you won't succeed. And don't make Spanish sound like the hardest language in the world because it's not. And people can easily learn it, especially if they've listened to soap operas while being little kids [I did, because my mother watched them, and it helps now.

  • "¿como es?" THAT'S SO WRONG!

  • @OnlyGirlsLikeMe

    you say: eso esta malo!

  • what u looks like in the shower lol

por favor contacteme si usted quiere aprender español o necesite una traduccion

  • @rarsommm I don't know if you're a native speaker or not, mate, but I can tell you you've got at least 2 mistakes in your Spanish writing that I've noticed without being a native Spanish speaker myself. Not a very good way to sell yourself...
